Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It had been well over a season since Aristeasea last been inside NightClan's territory; the home of her ancestors. The ginger feline lazed in the Prisoner's Cavern; an new concept for the cats of night. Feline shadows paced by the mouth of the caverns, it was well guarded. However, Aristeasea didn't hold a grudge towards her former; and soon to be, Clan-mates for placing her in the lonesome caverns for now. After all, the Warrioress had abandoned them to chase the foolish dream of finding herself. But she was home now; home to stay, and Aristeasea was willing to do anything to prove herself worthy of being part of NightClan's ranks once more. But Aristeasea was antsy, eager to swap stories and share tongues once again. Dark Forest, even pointless banter with one of the guards would be welcomed at this point!
Umbrahound was a handsome, muscular black tom with deep honey coated eyes. He had been asked to be one of the guards which was fine, he supposed. He wasnt really doing much anyway. They had recently gotten a new prisoner - a previous Nightclan member. Umbrahound didnt understand why Flamingstar would imprison her since she was no stranger to Nightclan but the leader had been extremely cautious of everyone lately. It wasnt his business to ask. He was sure that if he even tried, Flamingstar would claw an ear off and he preferred to keep his good looks for the lady cats. His jaws parted in a large yawn, ending in him shaking his head to wake himself up. Being a guard was rather boring but he'd rather stay on Flamingstar's good graces.
Aristeasea stood up and stretched. The feline had been sitting long enough and could use a stroll, but more importantly a drink of water. Her green eyes wandered to the outline of a cat by the den. What was his name again? Not a familiar face to Aristeasea, but she had been quite distracted when she was last in NightClan. And it Wasn't like Flamingstar would formally introduce every cat who darkened the Prisoners cavern. Aristeasea toke cautions steps towards the mouth of the cavern. "Excuse me, sir." Aristeasea cleared her throat, best not to sneak up on a guard. "Forgive me but your name seems to have slipped my mind. Um, I was wondering if I could get a drink of water?"
(By the way, guards can be bribed to take prisoners out on walks so that they aren't trapped in there! It gives people with prisoner cats more room to role play! Guards takes any bribe except for crystals because the Nightclan's main cavern is covered in large crystals! But they will take gems, rare collectibles, and certain materials for their crafting that they can't get on Nightclan territory! Or sometimes, if they she-cat or tom is cute enough to the guard, she/he can work in a persuasion XD )
There was an annoyed look on Umbrahound's face when he turned to face the prisoner. He wasn't a super friendly tom at first but he eventually grew on everyone. "Flamingstar already thought that through. She didn't want anyone escaping so she chose a cavern for the prisoners that had flowing water." He pointed to a spot on the wall that had trickling water. It trickled down the wall and into a bowl-shaped mound of cavern rock before trickling onto the ground in a tiny stream that flowed into a small hold in the wall and out of sight. "You can drink from the bowl over there." He flicked his tail over to the trickle on the wall.
Aristeasea felt a rush of warmth under her already red pelt. "I was wondering why I needed to relieve myself more than usual." The she-cat babbled quickly, followed with an embarrass laugh. Why had she not recognize the sound of the cave stream? *I am such a mouse-brain!* With a quick enhale of air, Aristeasea did her best to recover her composure. "Thank you." She tilted her head before heading to quench her thirst. "So, have you lived in NightClan long?" She asked over her shoulder.
"Don't flatter yourself," Aristeasea laughed, "It's not /your/ backstory I am interested in." The ginger feline headed closer to the maw of the cavern, not daring to get to close. "When I was last in NightClan, it was under Shiverstar's rule. I was curious as to how much politics have changed since," Aristeasea gave a wave of her tail to gesture to the Prisoner Cavern, "Other than the fact NightClan now keeps Prisoners."
"Do we still pray to StarClan? I know SunClan and MoonClan have turned their backs on the Warrior Ancestors. Those two have always been mouse-brained fools."
Umbrahound relaxed a little at her wanting to learn about the changes in Nightclan rather than his own personal stories. He didnt like sharing his past. It wasnt all sunshine and rainbows. "Some still worship Starclan while others worship the Dark Forest. Its rumored that Flamingstar was given her nine lives by both Starclan and the Dark Forest. It hasn't been proven but I wouldn't put it passed her." Umbrahound explained. "Shes definitely a paranoid leader. I'm just relieved she isnt much like Sunclan. Apparently they have an execution for those who wrong Nightclan. Luckily, Flamingstar either keeps them prisoner or she exiles them which is rather relieving since she has done some dark deeds. I suppose a part of her regrets it and strives to be better despite how harsh she can be to some of her warriors." Umbrahound was careful with his words. He didnt want to say anything too negative about his leader in case of some listening ears were nearby. He couldnt be sure what Flamingstar would do if there was mutiny among her subjects. Hopefully she wouldn't result to execution.
"Nightclan has also began creating things that make our duties easier. Flamingstar trained everyone to make stuff so we can trade with Renegade Regime for weapons and armor. Which, I never knew we could do." She shrugged. "I guess it's a nice change from things. It's different but at least we have an ally, now. Flamingstar isnt one for trusting others so we haven't had an Ally since Burningstar was leader."
Aristeasea nodded along with the knowledge the guard gave her, feeling relived that she didn't have to push to much for news. StarClan and Dark Forest? Aristeasea didn't realize the dark Ancestors had the ability to give a life. Something about the idea made the ginger feline shiver, anything involving the Dark Forest had to be a bad idea. And an alliance with those wannabe earthworms? Wait a heart-beat, crafting? Hopefully it would not be an area that Aristeasea would be tested on, as she would surely fail. "Thank you for bringing me up to speed." Aristeasea meowed once the tom was finished, her head still reeling from the knew information. "I don't want to look like a fool once I am a Warrior of NightClan again."
"I have dishonoured my mother long enough. Not passing initiation isn't an option." Aristeasea responded, determination in her voice. "Worry not, for we shall be sharing-tongues as Clanmates soon enough. "
