Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She wasn’t sure how to feel about the familiarity of the land underpaw. It had certainly been strange to approach it from the opposite side of where she used to approach it from the few days ago it had been since she first arrived. She had lingered near the border recently, watching without being seen - at least, without her presence being cared about - as she debated if she should turn back to where she came from. But there was something she missed, something she couldn’t quite put her paw on. And so, several days after she first arrived at the territory’s outskirts she made up her mind. She was going back.
For a time she waited at the border. That was the polite way to do this after all. She hadn’t been gone long enough to forget how much the Clans valued protecting their territory. But she quickly grew impatient. There had to be someone who would recognize her and would vouch for her. Maybe even Glowstar was still here. She hadn’t been gone that long after all. And so she got to her paws, stepping across the scent lines without a moment’s hesitation. Twistedecho was back. And some border markers weren’t going to dissuade her now.
Fuzzyheart had about three mice held in his teeth and was happily returning back to camp when he noticed Twistedecho headed in the same direction. Where had she- He let out a pained noise as his head collided with the hard trunk of an oak tree. DayClan wasn't exactly known for being especially forested, but recently trees started growing again, sparsely and far a part though. However leave it to him to bump into one of the only trees around. "Twistedecho?" He called out to her, still rubbing his head. It was hard to forget her, they hadn't originally met in good circumstances. He had left Primal Instinct to be there for Peachstar when SunClan enslaved SpringClan so it wasn't like he was very fond of her. However when they both met again they were entirely different cats. Both coming from bad places and giving up their lives and high social statuses to live their lives as better people. "Where have you been?" The question wasn't accusatory, but piqued with interest instead.
An ear twitched at a soft thud and the sound of someone in pain, the she-cat pausing mid-step and turning her head in the same moment her name was called out. Of course she recognized him. She had learned many faces in the past and she was sure, no matter how hard she had tried to forget in her time away, she couldn't forget. She had to memorize and recognize so much way back when she was a Janus (God, that felt like a lifetime ago) that she wasn't sure if she could allow herself to forget. Her mind clung to tightly to what it knew.
"Fuzzyheart," she meowed back, putting down the paw that had been caught mid-air by the tom's unfortunate collision. Her ears turned against her head at his question, though, orange eyes turning back to look in the direction she had come. "Around," she replied. "Far beyond Clan borders." She honestly wished she could give more specifics. There were no familiar paths or friendly faces she knew much from out there. Maybe that was what drew her back. Her travels had given her little opportunity to become familiar with anyone or any place. She had known the Clans all her life, and perhaps she craved that familiarity and community. She gave a low sigh before returning her gaze to the tom. "I guess I was trying to forget," she added with a shrug. "Clearly it seems it didn't work so well."
"For some people it works, but it's not for everyone. Plenty of my family has moved on and left this place, it's just in their nature as pravus nocturne cats, but for me personally I enjoy socialization. But in that case welcome back." It looked like he was going to add an I guess to the end of that statement, but opted not to. "We're actually kind of in the middle of a few conflicts so it's not really the best time to want to become a warrior again, but I'm sure they'll be happy to have you back since we are in trouble. Good news that, Peachblush and I found a surrogate and we have kits now," He purred, but with widened eyes mentioned, "There was a lot of kits in that litter."
