Her paws danced like leaves across the ground as Chaipaw hummed along to her own made-up tune. It always felt nice during bright, sunny days to take a break from duties and just dance among the early spring blossoms. She was always the one to take things too lightly and ignore all of the strife around her. Luckily, Fallclan didn't seem to have any problems at the moment so it wasn't necessarily something she had to make an effort to do.
Fallclan may not have problems, but that didn't mean the cats inside of it didn't. The importance of the problems were debatable, especially when Pumpkinpaw was the cat in question, but as the ginger tabby came running up to her sister in a panic, it was hard to miss the swollen mouth she wore. The remnants of tears were still soaking her face, but when she spotted Chaipaw, there was a sparkle of relief in her eyes. "Chaipaw!" she attempted to shout, though the words come out a muttered mess as she closed the distance between them.

"Oh no, Pumpkinpaw." Chaipaw failed at suppressing a giggle as her sister trotted up, mouth swollen. "What did you eat this time, dear sister?" She made a ticking noise and shook her head as she inspected the other apprentice's mouth. "We should probably take you to Suspendedillusion..."
As her sister inspected her mouth, Pumpkinpaw couldn't hold back the tears again, and they spilled down her face. "Uh bhee," she replied, to the best of her abilities. It was the first time she had seen one, and the warnings of stings didn't register in her memory until the bee was already in her mouth. She couldn't help herself though! It just looked so good, covered in a yellow dusting that she knew had to add to the flavor. And it did taste good, for the first second, then it was just pain. Bees taste like pain.

Chaipaw held back a series of giggles and ran her tail along Pumpkinpaw's back. "Oh, don't you know bees sting? That must have hurt so bad! I'm so sorry, honey." She meowed gently and sympathetically, even though she knew her sister should have known better. It would break her heart to scold Pumpkinpaw, so she resorted to consoling instead, which probably didn't help prevent future mishaps... "Come along. Let's go see if Suspendedillusion or Amberpaw. They'll make it all better, I just know!"
Of course she heard that bees stung, but that knowledge escaped her until it was too late. Sometimes Pumpkinpaw wasn't quite the brightest, especially when on an empty stomach. Which was often. Instead of attempting to explain any further, she simply nodded, regret filling her gut. Even so, her stomach still had the nerve to growl, which just made the ginger tabby's ears seem slightly more red. Just as she was about to start heading back to camp, a butterfly crossed her path, and she immediately got side-tracked as she jumped to try and catch it. Butterflies surely tasted better than bees, right?

"Oh no you don't." Chaipaw meowed quickly and pounced on her sister's tail, trying to halt her leap towards the butterfly. Unfortunately the small apprentice was dragged along as Pumpkinpaw pursued the butterfly. "Pumpkinpawwwww, doesn't a yummy mouse sound much better than a butterfly?"
But she ate mice all the time! Pumpkinpaw opened her mouth to say so, but was immediately hit by the pain of the bee sting that she had somehow seemed to forget about in favor of the butterfly. She came to a sudden stop, letting the butterfly flee, and went to turn to Chaipaw, tears in her eyes once more, not realizing that her sister had been being pulled along by her.

Chaipaw winced as she began to pick some of the burrs that had gathered in her pelt while being dragged across the ground out. "Let's go get some yummy honey then! I know that Amberpaw probably wouldn't mind giving us some." She pleaded, stroking her sibling's back with her tail.
Finally, Pumpkinpaw seemed to give in. All of her muscles slouched, and she gave a slow nod to her sister, though the thought of honey just reminded her of the bee. For the split second she was able to taste, there was definitely a hint of honey there. Her own tail dropped behind her as she leaned in to Chaipaw's gentle touch.

Chaipaw gave Pumpkinpaw a look of sympathy and began leading her back to the camp, hoping that she wouldn't get distracted by any more 'edible' things. "Maybe Amberpaw will be in today. It would be good to catch up with him, right?" She figured the other apprentice would be a bit gentler towards her sister than the medicine cat.
Amberbird was back in camp, counting the herbs that were now his to solely take care of. "Four juniper berries, 12 burdock leaves...." On he went with his counting, taking stock of what he'd need to go and get in a moment.
