The early leaf base snow swirled outside the warriors den. It felt like many many moons since the light brown she-cat had felt the bitter bite of Leaf bare. Now as she fought with her own desires to remain warm and curled up surrounded by her clan mates, and her duties to make sure they were well fed when they awoke. Juniperwater inched her way from the den and instantly fluffed her pelt as it quickly became dotted with small white flakes. She glanced around the camp with soft pale blue/green eyes before starting towards the forest and her tasks for the day.

The tom was off to a late start, still uncomfortable with the den in which the other warriors slept in, he had taken refuge in the roots of a tree not far from where his camp was. It was an old badger den, fresh enough where it still had a scent, but not pungent enough to drive any prey off. He liked it fairly well at times where the camp was crowded, too busy for him. He gave a yawn, stretching his claws as he stuck his arms out. He stuck his head out of the roots, stretching his back legs out as he emerged, sniffing out his breakfast.

Juniperwater wasnt expecting to come across anyone as she exited the camp and turned towards her favorite hunting spot. Although she jumped a little with excitement as she spotted Wraith exiting his borrowed den. "Morning!" she meowed as she quickened her steps to join him before he got too far ahead of her. They had spent a few moments and words together at the gathering but shortly after he seemed to have disappeared like the fog in morning's light. "Oh!" She exclaimed as she came to a stop beside him. "You reek."

The tom turned to face the approaching cat with a flick of his ear, stopping in his tracks. He touched his tail tip to her shoulder in greeting, cocking his head to the side, "That bad?" he asked, stretching to lick his shoulder. He hadn't realized, having been in a few worse spots in his previous life. To him he smelled like the others, but he was glad someone was being honest with him.

"Yeah" she said wrinkling her nose. "You need a bath." She purred lightly taking a step back as if his stale badger scent could rub off on her. "If you were headed out for some breakfast we can pass the creek fro a rinse off and then hunt together..." her cheeks burned under her pelt and she was, in that moment, glad she was covered in it. "i mean if you want to."

He looked the she-cat over as she backed away from him, wondering why she was being so kind to him. He had only spoken to her a bit before, and this was the first time he had seen her since. He didn't even have a nest in the warriors den, let alone any connections within. He nodded, "I am hungry," he mused, "I'll join you, lead the way."

"Alright!" said exclaimed excitedly as she turned and padded light pawed towards the creek. When they were a good distance from the camp she took to a comfortable trot. The day was clear and seemed to promise some early leaf-bare sunshine. She purred absentmindedly just happy to finally have a nice day. Upon reaching the creek and bent down and took pleasure in a few laps of clean cold water. "Mmmm It's nice." she meowed and took a few steps into the shallow water. "Come on!"

The tom kept pace with her as they traveled, watching the leaves about them fall. He wasn't paying a whole bit of attention to where they were going, it didn't matter anyways. He could always find a hidey hole for the night again if he couldnt find his way back to the camp. As they stopped he switched tracks, focusing his eyes back on the she-cat. He gave a small nod and followed her in the water, his steps light, confident and small, causing no ripples to appear. He turned shook his head a slight bit as the water reached the bottom of his neck, the chill getting to him in the slightest bit.

Juniperwater followed him farther into the water till her toes could no longer reach the bottom and she paddled softly. The lazy flow of the water not giving her any trouble in her efforts to stay in place. She turned to see Wraith up to his neck in the water and padded closer. "You still stink." she purred splashing water over his dry head using a forepaw to run the water in. "See just with that little bit of effort you already smell like a normal cat again." she teasingly splashed him again before propelling herself a tail length away to duck her own head under the water and resurface a second later ears pinned back to keep water from entering.

(three seven page papers and im back! ... im so done with school lol)
"I appreciate it," the tom smiled, ducking his own head under the water. As he rose he shook himself off, "You're lucky we're already in the water. I could have rubbed on you and you'd smell just as bad." he chided, moving towards the bank again. He stayed in the water, just rising to a bit past his belly. He didnt want to stay in too long, lest he be soaked and chilled. It was a nice day though, so hopefully it wouldn't be too cold. "What brought you out of camp?" he asked, tipping his head.
