Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The cheerful sounds of chirping shook the dark grey she-cat out of her sleep, her mossy green eyes blinking in moment of dazed confusion. It took her a few moments to register the sight of the early morning sun and just another moment to bounce onto her felt, her body feeling recharged and electric after a good night of deep rest. She turned to the nearest small body, which belonged to one of her siblings who was sleeping rather peacefully near their mother's soft white stomach. "Psstt! Wake up." Cloverkit hissed excitingly, stabbing the warm body repeatedly with her paw. "Its morning, waaaakkkee uuupp!" The voice were soft but sing-song-y and carried a sense of urgency.
He was drowsy for a moment, eyelids fluttering as he opened them gingerly. Using his paws, Thymekit rubbed the sleep from his eyes at his sister's voice. Morning? But it seemed that just a few minutes ago he had fallen asleep. He shook what seemed like cotton from his mind. He batted Cloverkit's paw away playfully, already seemingly full of energy for the new day. He stretched and yawned, moving away from the sleeping form of his mother. "What are we gonna do today?" He said rather loudly, bouncing on his toes. "You know, I wish we were apprentices already," He huffed, stumbling on his way out of their nest, "I wanna explore the territory and stuff, not be cooped up here. But they say it's safe, so I guess it's safe." He shrugged, playfully swatting at Cloverkit again.
Riverkit grumbled and shifted as the sound of his siblings woke him from a dream. He had never been a morning person and he didn't intend to be this morning. Even so, he sat up with a yawn and looked from Cloverkit to Thymekit. "Do the two of you have to be so loud? I was having this wonderful dream about a mouse...He yawned again and settled back down by his mother to go back to sleep. Maybe if he went back to sleep right away he would continue his dream where he left off. He just had to try and tune out the sound of his littermates for the time being.
"Shhh!" Cloverkit hushed her unsurprisingly loud brother, swatting him back playfully, her dark grey tail flickering over to the bod of their sleeping mother, who remained still in peaceful slumber then to the other queens in the den who were also deep in sleep. "Crimsoncrown is going to get on your case again and I don't want to be apart of that again just because we are in the same litter." She shivered as she recalled that thought. Though Crimsoncrown wasn't necessarily rude, there was a deeply intimidating factor about her, almost uncaring unlike her mother. It always left Cloverkit feeling unsettled...
At Riverkit's stirring, Cloverkit leap over at his side, nudging him hard with her paw in attempt to stop him from getting comfortable again "You can dream again later." She hissed quietly, a mischievous smirk growing at the corner of her muzzle. "We didn't finish our races last night and last I remember, YOU were next up to race Thymekit." She nudged Riverkit again, this time hard "You aren't trying to get out of finishing the race because you are scared Thymekit will beat you are you?" She teased, glancing back at her other brother, winking in attempt to hint at him to go along with the teasing.
He clamped his jaw shut, about to shout something else but deciding that, no, he didn't want to deal with Crimsoncrown. He nodded instead, playfully batting, yet missing, at his sister. Thymekit perked his ears at the stirring Riverkit, bouncing up to him excitedly. He flopped dramatically onto his brother, thus squashing any attempts to fall back asleep. He playfully snapped at his ear, Thymekit's little kitten teeth flashing for a second. "Yeah! Yeah, you gotta race me!" He snickered. "Scardey-mouse! Scardey-mouse! Common!" His voice grew louder at every word, and he only just caught it before it turned into a full blown yell.
"What's all the noise about?" Yawned a small shadow nestled to mothers side. Primrosekit sturd slowly, stretching out her front paws and arching her back. The young felines brain was still fuzzy with sleep, and was trying it's best to make sense of what little of the conversation she's heard since waking. "Who's racing a mouse?"
At the sound of her sister, Cloverkit turned, taking in the sleepy expression that played on the she-cat's face. "No one is racing a mouse silly- but Riverkit is trying to get out of racing Thymekit because he is scared he is going to lose, huh Riverkit?" The teasing persisted with no remorse. A sudden stir in Mossbreeze, silenced the taunting Cloverkit, her bright green orbs widening in a moment of fear. Had they gotten caught? Mossbreeze stretched out slightly, her head leaning back deeper into the moss bed before she once again melted back into a peaceful slumber.
The kits waited a moment, to ensure that their mother really had fallen back asleep before Cloverkit finally spoke up again, her words hushed "Come on, lets go before we get caught!" With no further hesitation, the dark grey she-cat leap from the moss bed, landing carefully before slowly crawling her way out, passed the other two queen and their kits.
"I'm not trying to get out of anything! I just wanted to sleep." Riverkit opened one eye and shot his siblings an irritated glare. He hadn't wanted to wake up. He wanted to sleep, but that didn't appear to be possible at this point in time. With an irritated huff the small tom followed his sibling, making a mental not to pay her and Thymekit back for waking him up at some point today.
“Oh, stop being such a grump!” Thymekit playfully pushed Riverkit by the shoulder, scrambling away and back beside his sister. “Come on! I’ll give you a head start.” Apparently now fixated on the racing, Thymekit positioned himself just before the nursery exit. “And then the winner can race Primrose kit, but that’ll obviously be me.” He flicked his tail, turning back to smile at his siblings. “Oh! And whoever loses has to do a dare or something! Cloverkit you can think of something, yeah?”
Cloverkit perked up at excitement at her brother's idea "Oh, I'll come up with the best- NO- hardes- NO- craziest dare!" She hissed excitingly, making her way out to the nursery first, her bright green eyes wide with anticipation. She only made a quick glance around the camp clearing, not intending to find anyone of interest, but the familiar color of a grey coat caught her attention. "Daddy!" She called out cheerfully, sprinting across the clearing to her father who had just entered the camp. All excitement for the kits' race was forgotten and immediately replaced with infectious glee "Daaaadd!" Cloverkit continued to call out as she raced through camp until she reached Smokecloud's side.
Smokecloud was carrying in a couple mice and a squirrel in his jaws when he entered camp but as soon as he saw his kits, his eyes lit up. He dropped his catch and rolled over, allowing the kits to jump on him. "No! Please! It's too much! You all are too strong!" He groaned dramatically, gently batting at his kits. "Someone help! I'm being attacked by a clan of munchkins!"
Thymekit stumbled his way out just after his sister, having to skid to a half to avoid bumping into her. "I can't wait to watch not me do whatever you can come up with," he snickered. His attention on the races was cut short by Cloverkit's squealing. Barely registering what was going on, Thymekit ran after her. It was Smokecloud!
"Dad!" He called alongside her, raising his voice to overpower Cloverkit's. He bounced around his father, laughing as he lay on the ground. He swiped and clambered all on the gray tom, baring his tiny kitten teeth in mock ferociousness.
"Haha! I got you evil warrior! You dare try to invade my camp?" He tried making his voice as low and powerful as he could muster, which in fact was not very deep at all.
"Dad!" Primrosekit shouted with joy before galloping toward the tomcat with her siblings. Pure joy on her face as Smokecloud flopped down, and she giggled. "Stinky WinterClan cat!" The black feline pretended.
Cloverkit giggled loudly, her laughter bright and cheerful like a song as she pounced on her father. Her siblings followed soon after, causing her boisterous laughter to only grow louder as her reinforcement joined her on the attack. She swatted at the grey warrior with a burst of energy, her roughness probably feeling like nothing to the large scarred warrior. "Yeah! Get out Winterclan warrior this is OUR camp!"
