Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Any amount of cats and members can join in at any time! ^-^)
Heaven on earth was DayClan’s second name, it was like a piece of StarClan’s sky fell to earth and upon it DayClan was born. It was the kind of land lions could run on and feel free, any cat could run for miles and still never see an end in sight. Their land was unnaturally plentiful, the two-leg farmers had create large wheat fields caring for the land and driving away predators with their fearsome dogs. However the farmers had let go of their land over time and soon within the wheat fields grew forests with sprawled out trees. SunClan’s water had begun to dry causing much of it to enter Nova Canyon, a newly nicknamed addition to DayClan after forming the NovaClan alliance. Much of the land was changing and because of it new animals were entering DayClan.
Some creatures were fierce such as the wolves and others were small and delicious like the angora rabbits. In typical DayClan fashion the goal wasn’t to combat the new invasive creatures, but to coexist among them and thus the Animal Whisperers came to be. In this particular situation the Animal Whisperers were requesting tiny houses to be made for the ili pika mice. The Animal Whisperers goal was to train the mice to no longer fear cats and to feed them. In return the ili pika mices natural instinct was to gather flowers and herbs that they would then bring back to DayClan in exchange for food while DayClan got free herbs out of it.
Glowstar lied on the floor decorating a tiny little house she was making out of bark and strips of wood. She was going as far as to line the floor with moss, which was cute. Only she was getting a little too detailed and was beginning to make steps for the mice to climb up on. “How’s everyone else doing?” Glowstar asked, her voice as sweet as candy as she laughed faintly, “Typical day in DayClan, right?”
"Oh, yes! I think the ili pika mice with like my house!" Buttercuppaw responded. She was already painting hers with mashed up barries. She wiped the sweat from her forehead, leaving a streak of red paint. Buttercuppaw realized what she had done and leaped to her paws. "Oh, oh! Who am I, Glowstar?" She dove into character, changing her voice for a dramatic effect. "You, there!" She pointed to Glowstar with her paw. "You are trespassing on the Sun God's sacred ground!"
She had fallen back into the odd routine of Clan life again rather easily. Compared to her recent life, where day in and day out was spent hunting for herself or defending what meager amount was hers from those who might try and take it, the inanity of life in DayClan was a welcome relief. She may not have any job that was directly impacted by this work, but at least for now she preferred the simpler tasks. And she knew how to do delicate work like this, even if the control in her paws was thanks to a much darker sort of teaching. It was nice to put her skills to use for something good.
She glanced up from her work as Glowstar spoke, her only response a vaguely amused grin as Buttercuppaw spoke up first. She didn't expect the uncomfortable shiver that ran down her spine at the apprentice's play. She had tried to avoid even reference towards SunClan for the most part since her return, and for some reason the joke about her birth Clan left a foul taste in the back of her throat. She tried to force her expression to remain steady, though, squeezing out a short laugh. "Nice one," she meowed in a soft voice.
"Tha-" Buttercuppaw cut off when she suddenly remembered some of the Dayclan members were born in Sunclan. "O-oh...I'm sorry. I was just pokin' a little fun. Sunclan cats aren't all bad." She apologized, lowering her ears in embarrassment. She actually had a friend in Sunclan. Articpaw had surprisingly become one of her friends just recently but she hadn't meant her joke to bother anyone. "Bad joke" she chuckled before looking down at her clan-mate's house. "Ooo, I like the way your pika mouse house looks!"
"Yeah, you're a natural at them Twist. I gotta say sometimes I look at the pika mice and get a little hungry, but when they run up with the flowers in their mouth they're way too cute to kill. I'm sure I imagine it, but I can just see the little excitement in their eyes that they did a good job getting herbs and are going to get a treat for it," Glowstar purred.
"Hey, how are the pika houses going?" Lostkit asked, wandering over. He was due to become an apprentice any day now and while the tom was well built for becoming a warrior he had shown a lot of promise for animal whispering. It was hard to tell what path the tom would choose.
