Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
One day had passed since the mate choosing ceremony, and after taking time to gather her thoughts she had called for Bloodyrondo to join her in the den that they shared. He fury had cooled to a seething boiling rage, but if he thought he was going to get out of this completely unscathed with no punishment than he was sorely mistaken. If had just shut his mouth when Satinpaw had been taken away, things would have gone much better for her promised. As things stood now, she would have to find away to teach the entitle tom a little bit of humility. She had mused over how to acomplish this and keep him away from Satinpaw, and only one thing had come to mind. After speaking with the Sun God, his punishment had been decided.
Bloodyrondo arrived late on purpose. It wasn't very late, maybe fifteen minutes, but enough to be missed and prove a point. He would listen to his High Priestess but he was nowhere near ready to forgive her. That's what he assumed this meeting was about, of course. Apologies. A part of him knew that was wishful thinking but he was in complete denial that he would receive any sort of punishment.
He took a deep breath then entered Littlestar's den. He looked at the wall right behind the High Priestess with red eyes and did not bow his head or say a word. He wanted her to speak first.
The atmosphere in the den was heavy, almost stifling. It made it hard to breathe, as the two stared each other down, neither giving an inch "Foxbane was right"she started, giving him the false hope of an apology "I was angry, so I spoke with the Sun God before deciding on you punishment and we both have agreed" she paused rising to her feet eyes never leaving his
"You ego has become so inflated that you see yourself above the rule the Sun God has given us. You broke not one, not two, but three different sections of the SunClan. I was well within my right as High Priestess to have you executed for treason" a threatening growl rumbled in her throat "However I still have faith that you can learn for these mistakes and begged the Sun God to show mercy for Satinpaw's sake. No matter how you might view me now, you'll realize in time that this was all to protect HER. The cat you claim to love. If you want hope of every being with her then you shall accept this punishment with grace befitting of her mate"
Littlestar moved forward entering into the Priest Promised den's letting her tail rest on the shoulders of a certain cat... A cat that Bloodyrondo would know all to well "Since you see yourself so far above the rules, you will go back to the beginning and learn our ways from the bottom up. I here by strip you of your authority and rank. Until you have earned your place back at my side, you will henceforth be treated as an initiate. You name shall be TheIdiotBrother" she paused turning to smile at the cat at her side, moving him into the light.
"In your absence your brother, Moonlitnocture, shall serve as my promised. He will be sleeping in the den you once called yours, receive lessons from me, and help cover your duties. You shall obey his commands, and any commands the members of SunClan give you. You will live, eat, and attend lessons just like any other initiate"

Of course, it all came back around. He couldn't help it; the smile, the majesty. Moonlitnocturne made sure that they got every extraordinary detail. To the swirls of red and orange in his pelt to the bright cupid symbol on his shoulder. The quintessential for the role of Priest Promised, of becoming the dummy for his brother. All for this moment. He didn't really believe his ears when Littlestar approached him for this, but he quickly silenced his tongue. Long as it meant he got this brief taste, got to see his brother fall to his face.
The sweetest kind of revenge. One that stilled his features when Littlestar walked into the room. He got up from his bed now and made his way to the center of the room, letting her tail rest on his shoulders. It burned some, but Moonlit did not flinch. Expression unreadable as Littlestar spoke and he moved into the light. His smile was teeth, a laugh suppressed that threatened to swallow the new Initiate up. "I must thank you for all your dutiful lessons you asked me to teach the initiates. Though I know I can take it from here."
He was almost a bit too absorbed in the moment to hear the laugh, looking up to see Sunclan's First Banana Cutting Ritual Sacrifice walking out the door. Oh no, he was not getting away so easily. Moonlitnocturne stood and went after him, slipping by to stand in front of him. "What's the matter, TheIdiotBrother? Unable to face the consequences of your actions?" He asked, a genuine straightness to his tone that made him gag.
Bloodyrondo faced down his brother, celadon eyes smoldering with hatred so intense it would make almost any cat flinch. His pride was beyond crushed: It was buried it a bloody pit somewhere along with his heart. That was dangerous for everyone, though, because, for once, Bloodyrondo had nothing left to lose. And his confidence wasn't going anywhere.
"This is all a joke, right? Of all the cats to play me you picked this one. The one who literally tried to destroy all of the Clans not that long ago. Littlestar, you really have lost it. I came here to compromise with you and instead you punish me for falling in love." He didn't tear his eyes away from Moonlitnocturne all the while he talked, he wouldn't grace Littlestar with more than a sideways glance, although his next words were for his brother, "You speak of consequences for your actions... funny that killing kits somehow put you up on the throne. Seems quite the opposite of what I had in mind for my future."
He laughed again, a laugh that didn't quite reach his eyes, it sounded really creepy especially considering that before he lost his rank he was not known for having a sense of humor.

Littlestar
SunClan High Priestess
The Peace Keeper
"You really think this is because you fell in love with Satinpaw?" she scoffed turning away from the two leaving Moonlitnocturne to his devices "It wasn't I that choose Moonligtnocturne... The Sun God is the one who decided on your punishment" she paused eyes narrowing in on her task of sorting herbs
"If I remember correctly, you questioned my faith in the Sun God just yesterday, and yet here your are questioning his judgement" she shrugged it as if what happened next was of little importance to her "I could have argued against such a punishment, but apparently negotiating with the Sun God is only acceptable when it suits your needs IdiotBrother.
"Moonlitnocturne have fun, and remember your goal is to put IdiotBrother back onto the path the Sun God has set before him. The Sun God has chosen you for this task, and I do so hope that you won't disappoint him. I'll leave your teaching methods up to you" With that she walked off, leaving the two toms

If he was out there, Moonlitnocturne would have to thank the Sun God someday. Even with every insult, they just rolled off his shoulders like water. Must have been the paint, it made him feel so powerful. So good to see Bloodyrondo squirm again. Whatever happened, if he learned his lesson or not, he didn't really care. At this point, the power alone was enough of a drug for him. It was dangerous, but he played with danger. And far too likely already the brothers would end up killing each other one day. May as well accelerate that day some.
"Of course Littlestar." The cream point bowed, "I'll make sure this one is set on the path of the Sun again." As Littlestar left, he really couldn't help the smile. One that was eerily similar to his father's trademark. So this is what it was like? To be in charge. Maybe Autumngossamer had a point. If he was stuck in a cult that was declared the worse, maybe he should actually play that part. Something in him broke at the thought.
The first thing he noticed was the polar opposite, the frown that was quickly settling on his brother's lips. "Now, what's with that frown on your face? You gotta turn it upside down." Leaning back, Moonlit quickly sat on his back paws, using his front ones to lift the corner of Bloodyrondo's mouth. Claws grazing his skin, Moonlit muttered, "We're gonna have so much fun after all." Was it the Sun God that gently pulled the curtain on his sanity? He wasn't sure, maybe he was seeing why they worshipped this guy so. He returned himself back to the ground, gently pushing Bloody back into the room.
Yeah, Bloodyrondo had seen the way Littlestar spoke to the Sun God. He didn't believe for a second that the deity had put his paw over Moonlitnocturne's head and picked the flame point tom all on his own. He did not have any time to reply to her, however, as the leader was already out of the den and his idiot brother was blocking the way after her. Whatever, he didn't need to talk to her anyway, she clearly wasn't going to listen to a word he said. She was too blinded by her motherly instincts to realize that the one she hurt the most in all this was herself.
Bloodyrondo turned his celadon eyes to meet Moonlitnocturne's cool blue. Fire and ice. He had exchanged this look before, back when Moonlitpaw was promoted to Janus while Bloodypaw remained an apprentice with an incompetent mentor. He had thought that would be the lowest point in his life back then. He chuckled at the thought, how naive could he be, he didn't know true love back then like he did now. And it was true that the more you loved the more you hurt. You can't have one without the other.
Regardless, Bloodyrondo had no intentions of so much as listening to his brother's demands, "Initiates have always chosen their own names. If you insist on playing this game then I choose my new name to be Crimsy. Now, I have better things to do than listen to you parrot some lecture that I myself prepared, so I guess I'm going to go pick my new nest," he narrowed his eyes and added, "Don't get too comfortable with this power because you won't have it for very long."

Fire and Ice. That's how they'd always been, seems like they always would be. Moonlitnocturne remembered that day, dragged back to the place he hated just to be given a high position to keep him there. At the time, he thought it would be the lowest point in his life. How dumb he was. Now he was pushed even further, purely to spite his brother. The Sun God hadn't chosen him, Littlestar did. They both knew that. Even if Moonlit had only been promoted to a queen for the king's purposes, he had every intention of getting checkmate.
"My foolish brother, do you not even remember the first code you broke? The High Priestesses word is law." Moonlitnocturne purred, not letting his gaze leave TheIdiotBrother for a second. For as hot as he ran, he would always freeze it till only cold remained. "Unless the Sun God comes and ordains it, you will stay as TheIdiotBrother. I have a couple of ideas I can pitch to Littlestar if you want." He tilted his head, a little too excited to see how he would react. The flame point could almost see why his dad was how he was. "Let's see. How about Luna? Or Sunclan's First Nut Cracking Offering? Rolls off the tongue, right SFNCO??" He laughed.
"But I see you're as insistent as ever. If you insist you'll have this position back soon, you may as well start working for it." Ah yes, the part that let excitement crawl up his back. Moonlit spent too many days teaching those initiates lies. It was time for SFNCO to feel it too. "Not to worry, I have a quick job for you. You gotta take this one step at a time, after all." With that, he disappeared into the back for a minute. Not even a second over the minute, he came back, dragging the body of a young rabbit. It looked less eaten and more massacred, blood smeared on the remnants of it's white coat. He dropped it in front of SFNCO, more threw it in disgust. "Take this trash and bury it somewhere for me, would you, Luna?"
"Make up all the nicknames you want, White Crow," Bloodyrondo's voice was monotone while he spoke. His fire wasn't gone but it was greatly diminished. Honestly, he was still exhausted from the events of the past few days, he could only be so reactive for so long. Still, he wasn't going to let Moonlitnocturne have the last word, ever, "Someday I will go down in history as one of the greatest leaders that SunClan has ever seen. And you? No one will remember your name, I'll see to that, you're lower than dirt as far as I'm concerned. Despicable. The only reason you are here at all is because Littlestar knows of my hatred for you and used whatever leverage she has against the Sun God to make it so. I didn't peg her for the petty type but I suppose it figures."
All the while he spoke he had his back to the new Priest Promised, he eyes on the entryway. He scrunched up his nose when the scent of rabbit assaulted him and like the flip of a switch a rage he hadn't expected exploded within his heart. Bloodyrondo whipped around and saw the mangled mess of the very same rabbit he had caught for Satinpaw for his first meal after the Mate Choosing Ceremony, "You....!" Bloodyrondo growled as he lunged from Moonlitnocturne, knocking the rabbit clear out of his reach, "Is my life really a twisted game for you?" He spat, digging his claws into his brother's throat. He got right up into Moonlit's face and stared directly in his eyes, challenging him to falter, to look away, to give up. Bloodyrondo was not going to loose this assertion of his dominance but he also know a heavy punishment would be waiting for him if this went on much longer. He didn't care, though. Nothing mattered right now but him, Moonlit and that damn rotten rabbit.

"I suppose TheIdiotBrother will do. It's as unoriginal as you'll ever be." Moonlitnocturne drawled, scratching at his ear with a back paw. It wasn't like he wasn't tired either. Wasn't like these last few days weren't awful for him too. But Bloody would never see things from his perspective, his horse was always too tall and he never got off of it. Unable to support his own weight with his own two feet, it made Moonlit laugh. "Geez, you really don't see it, huh? Guess I'm not too surprised, you never could see past the end of your own nose." Autumn was right. He couldn't keep running from this depravity, he could only abuse the power while he had it. Abuse the position. He really had to find the positives in hell, which led to him sitting so his back was to him as well. Staring at the doorway, the bridge between their two worlds, he spoke, "We're connected. Not just by blood but by fate. Your just god brings me up while lowering you down and vice versa. But at the end of the day, what happens? It evens out. That's the world you have chosen for yourself, this scale. You can try and skew it, try and appease the Sun by whatever means your rotten mind can come up with. But, in the end, none of it will matter. Things will even out, by your hand or others." It was a scale. Not that saying it mattered, not that he would hear. It was definitely more for him than for TheIdiotBrother. Which was why he crossed that bridge again.
Of course, Moonlitnocturne expected rage, anger like a flame devouring everything in its path. Even getting knocked back wasn't surprising, throwing the rabbit to the side and getting to hear it's skinny dead spine crack in half. is my life really a twisted game to you? He wanted to laugh, but the paws against his windpipe didn't let him. Moonlit wasn't gonna back down though, right paw swinging up and slamming into TheIdiotBrother's face, claws outstretched and hooked into his skin right below his eye. Cooing, Moonlit pulled him closer. "Listen to yourself for a minute here, Vamp. You've made it clear how you think of me, and you expect me to not fight back? To just sit there and take it? That's now what this game is about." He didn't back away, he didn't let himself. Letting his grip tighten on the last word, he struggled to breathe. "This is all just a game, we're just pawns who suffer for the enjoyment of the god who's feet you keep kissing cause you were programmed to. Learn your place. You've always been a pawn who thinks he's a king, but you're not. Just a spoiled brat with daddy issues who blames everything wrong with him on everyone else." Moonlit moved his other paw to TheIdiotBrother's shoulder, and with one swift motion used him as leverage and pulled his back legs up. Pushing him off, Moonlit let his claws rake against his brother's stomach, letting himself feel that satisfaction before flipping onto his paws again. Blood stained his paws, a part of him hoped it scarred. No, all of it did.
"This is your bed, so lie in it. Or I'll kill you. Plain and simple." His eyes froze over, voice on the edge of utter nothingness and complete insanity. It was a look that made you wonder what those kits saw before he killed them. Claws gripping the back of Vamp's head, he pulled the sin back. "Do you understand?"
Bloodyrondo yowled in pain as Moonlitnocturne scored some serious gouges on his soft underbelly. It felt as if liquid fire had been poured right over his stomach, burning and eating away at his flesh, spilling his blood across the sandstone floor. As much as the two fought and bickered, rarely did it become physical and even then they would only walk away with a couple scratches and a sore paw. Today, though, it was serious. Moonlitnocturne had more power now than he ever had in his life. Not only in the Clan, but over his brother. This wasn't the same as when he was a Janus when Bloodyrondo was an apprentice.
"Only you would get so hung up on something stupid like a balancing act. You've always lived your life that way. Even now as you curse the Sun God you also agree to lead within his Clan. Hypocrite! Why he puts up with you at all is an absolute mystery. But I think we can both agree that it's a waste of his time," Adrenaline blinded Bloodyrondo from the pain as he swiveled from his brother, digging his claws into the tom's shoulder and raking them down the to the crook of his right arm. The ginger tom then jumped a couple tail-lengths away in a defensive pose, a trail of blood seeping into the group as he moved, "You should listen to yourself, Draculad. You really think I'm going to let you get away with all this slander? Unlike you, I've devoted my life to SunClan, and my loyalty to the him has not wavered, even now. You can't even say that much. You're just a fox-hearted kit killer who the Sun God is humoring on a whim. Just a tool to teach me a lesson. In a few days I'll be king again but you will always be the pawn."
He stood there for awhile and returned Moonlitnocturne's gaze with fiery celadon eyes. It was a tense few minutes before he finally broke eye contact and padded over to the mangled rabbit. Looking at it made his stomach twist in knots. It wasn't even worth eating now. Totally ruined.
"Mark my words. You'll regret this someday." Bloodyrondo said before picking up the rabbit by its scruff and limping toward the exit of the den. He was going to clean it up after all, but not before Moonlitnocturne told him to, but because it's the right thing to do.
(Moonlit can lunge if you want or we can end it here, up to you. If they keep going they are literally going to kill each other so xD)
