Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It sort of felt like life was running away from Foxbane at warp speed recently. Trying to find out what was going on in the League with someone sabotaging their alliance with DayClan. Trying to get Tinypaw and Roble together... Trying to keep Flawedperspective from Ignatius. Funkson just generally being a terrible child, though she had to admit she was proud of them being Janus. Not to even scratch the surface of Pandora now being a goddess and trying to convert DayClan. Let's just say it was a lot, and she wasn't even Priestess anymore.
Speaking of Priestess... it was about time she checked in with another child of hers, the actual High Priestess of SunClan currently, Littlestar. It was no secret what had gone down with Satinpaw and Bloodyrondo, and though she'd never exactly been much good with her own kits, maybe for once she could offer some sort of advice. There was about, oh, a five percent chance this went well, but they'd been needing to talk for a long time now anyway. Really talk.
So, she made her way up to the den, peeking inside the familiar walls as she searched out the younger she-cat's form. "Littlestar?"

Littlestar slowly lifted her head, the voice of her former mentor reaching her ears. She had thought she might finally get some sleep but it seemed as if fate had other plans. She blinked a few times to clear her vision "Come in Foxbane" she mewed weakly as if all her energy had left her. There was little need to pretend around Foxbane, the she-cat would just see straight through her like she always did. In one day she had destroyed her relationship with her daughter and her promised in one swoop. To say that she was feeling defeated and exhausted was an understatement. Her golden gaze was dull and lifeless, having given all that she had and more.

At least she no longer sounded angry. Foxbane really would not have wanted to deal with stealing back a leadership and murdering her own child... again. That would have been, uh, well, SunClan probably would have just rioted at that point, honestly. She didn't hesitate to step into the den, sitting herself right next to Littlestar's nest. "I'd ask how you're holding up, but you look pretty miserable, so I think I already know the answer." It was unusual for her to do, but she leaned over to give the Priestess a comforting lick between the ears. Even leaders needed someone to care for them on occasion.

"There is no point in lying to you" she murmured, not even bothering to protest the lick between her ears. She had never been able to keep anything from Foxbane. Even when she had thought she had gotten away with going to see Leatherstar, Foxsat had known... "Why didn't you stop me back then?" she questioned closing her eyes thinking back to when she was hardly older than a kit. How she had snuck away to steal kisses in the night, to sleep in his warm embrace. Ho she had almost died trying to bring his kits into the world when her body had been far to young fragile.
Foxbane would know what she was speaking off, she had always been intuitive like that. Littlestar had hardly ever needed to explain herself with her old mentor around.

"There is no such thing as stopping someone young who thinks they know what they want." Foxbane answered. "There is only delaying. And youth breeds a sort of arrogance that only experience and pain can bring. Sometimes you just have to let someone fail, until they realize for themselves the consequences of their actions. Would you have listened if I had told you it was a bad idea? Or would you just have tried harder to hide it from me?" She knew herself better than anything. There was no such thing as stopping anyone truly determined to get their way, short of sabotage or death. Back then, admittedly, she hadn't cared so much for Littlestar, at least, not in a way that would have truly helped her any. But the same idea still applied. Young cats were stubborn, and rarely liked to take 'no' for an answer when it challenged what they desired.

"I suppose not..." she trailed off head lowering onto her paws, weary and tried of fighting. This could have all went down far differently had either of them just spoken with her before, just showed her the smallest amount of trust "I suppose I don't need to say what it is that I fear... You were there" burying her three newborn had nearly driven her into insanity, their birthing nearly taking the last ounces of strength from her body. Satinpaw had inherited her small size, perhaps even smaller than she herself had been. With Bloodyrondo being as big as he was....
She had always tried to be fair to her children, not forcing them into any sort preconceived role. They were allowed to be themselves, and follow the path they desired... but this? How could she stand by and watch Satinpaw make a decision that could get her killed "Satinpaw doesn't understand what I am protecting her from... Or Bloodyrondo for that matter... The heartache that Im trying to save them from"

"They won't understand unless you literally spell it out for them. And even if you do, they'll probably think you're worrying too much." She replied with a sad sort of smile. "That's not to say you shouldn't tell them. Just insisting they can't be together isn't going to make them understand. They'll just assume you're doing it out of some hate for them. Which, if you do hate Bloodyrondo, that's none of my business, I suppose." Certainly, she wasn't thinking too highly of him at current, at least.

"Then what is it that I am supposed to do?" in the moment looking more like the lost kit than the high priestess that she had become, once again look to Foxbane for answers "How am I supposed to spell out that Im afraid of her dying? That I just want to save her from what I went through" she bir her bottom lip knowing just how ridiculous she sounded. "I'll think of something..." she trailed off closing her eyes and forcing herself to stop from becoming overly emotional
