Calamitystar couldn't help but feel alone as he gazed up at the starless sky. It was cloudy nights like this that made him feel awfully small. He had not grown up believing in Starclan, yet here he was knowing that they existed. It seemed so odd to him to think that the warriors had ancestors up there but not the rogues. Where did those cats go? He wondered silently as he stared into the night, completely oblivious to everything around him.
"Boo." Suspendedillusion drawled as he padded towards the leader of Fallclan, steps soft as he tried to respect the other toms privacy. He had been unable to just walk by when he had seen Calamitystar sitting staring at the sky. Unknowing if he had been looking for privacy or perhaps needed an ear, and as such the medicine cat had approached him. Not wanting to leave him to his own thoughts if he needed an escape from them, as he himself knew what a downward spiral one could get trapped in when they only had the words inside their head as company.

Calamitystar jumped a little at the sound of Suspendedillusion's voice, but the initial shock soon turned to a small chuckle. "Hello there, pal!" He greeted with his usual over-friendliness. He had grown fond of the new medicine cat even if they still didn't know each other well. Of course, it didn't take much for the ebony leader to find fondness. Trust was a different story. "Can I ask you something? You're all medicine catty and know all the humbo jumbo of the stars and such. Ya ever seen any rogues in your travels through the stars?"
Suspenedillusion paused and turned to look towards Calamitystar, debating on how to best answer the leaders question. He didn't think it would be smart to admit he held no belief in Starclan and left that aspect to Amberpaw. But he felt the awnser was obvious regardless, after all, as a former rouge he was rather positive none of them would be admitted to the clan cats version of the afterlife. Not when none of them even knew of it, not when many of the rouges he had none held a high degree of distaste for the clan cats. "I can't say I have no. I don't believe many believe in afterlifes at all."

A nod was all he gave after Suspendedillustion's words. It was an interesting feeling that came upon him. It was almost a disinterest except for the lingering bit of joy at the thought of nothingness after life. A part of him felt that joy due to the fact that he wouldn't have to stare into the eyes of those he hurt after death. Calamitystar felt a shudder pass down his spine as their faces flashed through his mind.
He gave a glance towards the medicine cat and smiled. Many thought he was crazy for choosing two former rogues as his staff, Hystericplague and Suspendedillusion, instead of a clan-born cat. The fact was, he wanted cats that experienced the outside world to lead the clan. It was comforting to know that they had seen things beyond the clan borders. They understood life better than many. "Thank you for being honest. It's a mystery, hm?"
