Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lilacpaw still looked unconvinced that he was alright, but accepted that he would handle it himself.
"Oh, don't worry I'm not SunClan, I'm from DayClan. We're really close allies with SunClan, but it's actually a common confusion since Day and Sun share similar fur colors," She said gesturing to her orange tabby pattern, however DayClan had far more bright colored cats. "I was invited to join SunClan and while I'm not always a fan of DayClan I'm not really into cults and having my life circulate around religion 24/7, no offense." Lilacpaw perked up a bit, "Hey you should come by DayClan, we're a neutral ground territory so like I said, you're actually allowed on DayClan land just like anyone else. The only rules are no causing trouble and no stealing prey or resources. It would be a lot of fun having a fun friend like you around, most of the apprentices back in camp are... Well a bit DayClan traditional."
Snowpaw exclaimed, embarassed from making the wrong assumption. He didn't get the opportunity to leave the territory much so he wasn't that good at telling the difference between the clan cats. He knew as much that SunClan had mostly red-orange colored cats and NightClan had darker colored cats but he didnt know much about DayClan. "I'm sorry for that Lilacpaw," he said apologetically. Realizing it wasnt that big of a deal to her, he shrugged. "I dont know about that," he said. "It would give me a chance to explore the world some more." A frown appeared on his face. "But it would all depend on if I'll be able to leave or not."
"What do you mean if you're able to leave? Like you would need to ask your leader for permission or if DayClan would allow you to leave? Because we're not like SunClan, we don't force cats who tread on our ground to stay or go through any initiation, everyone is welcome to come and go as they please," Lilacpaw reassured a little too quickly, she bit the inside of her cheek for a moment, annoyed by how desperate she just came off for Snowpaw to stick around. Normally she wasn't pleased about outsiders on DayClan land and found the whole neutral territory thing to be annoying, but Snowpaw was fun and was one of the first cats that seemed to take what she said seriously. He made her feel important.
Lilacpaw's ears perked up as she smiled a smug little grin at Snowpaw's decision as she bumped him over the shoulder with her white paw, "I knew you couldn't resist hanging out with me and hey if you want I can talk to your leader sometime and earn his trust. So long as MoonClan's not like SunClan and forces people into initiation." She walked by Snowpaw, her tail that usually was curled inward ran under Snowpaw's chin before curling back up into a sweet bun
"C'mon," Lilacpaw said with a gesture of her head for Snowpaw to follow as she padded back over to DayClan, "We can take a shortcut through the Everbleed into DayClan or the safe way through the wheat, but if we're being sneaky we should probably take the Everbleed route so we don't risk your clan mates spotting us."
He winced a little, remember who had recently taken over leadership of MoonClan. "Yeah...about that...I personally don't like him that much. But nevermind that right now" he said bounding up behind Lilacpaw. His wasnt going to let his personal views taint their adventure. "What's the Everbleed?" he asked curiously, forgetting what he said before. "Is it red? You said it's safe so it couldn't be something bad, right?" The name was really strange to him but then again it was his first time leaving home.
Lilacpaw frowned at Snowpaw, he didn't like his leader? She didn't know the leader at all, had never seen him at a gathering, she just knew it was a tom, maybe he was a cruel leader. She wanted to ask more, but Snowpaw had already made it clear he didn't want to talk about it right now so she decided to answer his question. "It's mountainous rocky land, but they're not really that mountainous, nothing at all compared to the mountain clans. They're only dangerous because there are jackals that lives there... And hawks and owls and big cats... It's too bad too because there's so much prey to be found, but so many predators. We usually only hunt there in leafbare because it's the only place that has prey," She explained, "But no, it's not safe at all, it is a shortcut though, it's not too late for us to go the safer, but longer route through the wheat fields if you want," She offered.
He shrugged. "I guess taking the safe route will probably before for the best." His eyes widened when he realized that he was still covered in his own blood. If they would have taken the shortcut, it would cause some problems since predators are sensitive to that kind of thing. "Do you know if there's a stream or something nearby? I kind of forgot I still had this on me," he asked, glancing down at his fur. "I at least want to be presentable when we get there. Wouldn't want anyone asking unnecessary questions, ya'know?"
"There's the huge pond between our territories," Lilacpaw exclaimed as she walked a head a few mouse lengths from him in order to guide him to the water. The water turned out to not be far at all, only past the nearest treeline. Lilacpaw sat down beside Snowpaw scratching free some moss from a nearby rock. Carefully she soaked the moss, drained it slightly and then pressed it up against his fur to help clean it off. "I wounded you on your ribs, it's hard to reach and I hit so hard. I'm sorry, for hurting you like this, I hope you'll still be my spar partner, but I understand if you don't want to anymore..." Her tone deflated towards the end. She really enjoyed every moment with Snowpaw, he was different than anyone she had ever known. No one else in DayClan would have ever agreed to fight her and it felt nice to have someone trust in her. Even in this awkward moment she didn't want her time with Snowpaw to end.
They were in the Everbleeds now, not that it could be helped. The only water for MoonClan to enter DayClan was through the Everbleeds, but since they were by the body of water they would be safe to travel close to the waters edge into safer territory. Carnivores weren't known for hanging out near this neck of the woods.
Snowpaw greatful accepted her help with cleaning his cratches. He playfully batted her shoulder with a paw. "Dont worry about it, Lilacpaw. It's no problem at all," he reassured her. He stared at her as she worked, a smile on his face. A day he expected to be boring, filled with nothing but boring tasks, turned into an adventure. And on top of that, he made a new friend! Who would have known this day would have gone the way it is? His smile faded as a thought struck his mind. "AGH! That's no good. They're going to want to know where I am. He might think I'm a traitor..." he said, his eyes darting around with panic in his voice. He had totally forgot to leave a message behind for whoever would be sent to retrieve him at the end of the day. He was so caught up in the excitement of the moment it slipped his mind. Hopefully, just maybe, they won't send someone to go get him until later on in the day. He should be back by then right? He remembered that MoonClan cats were mostly nocturnal but there were a small number who were just as active in the daytime as they were at night. The image of Leviathan flashed in his head. What would he do if he found out I left my post?
Lilacpaw smiled shyly back at him applying the moss one more time before feeling satisfied with that the wound was cleaned up. She lifted up her head to look at him upon the mention of getting in trouble, "Your leader would really think that lowly about you? Why is he so possessive of his cats?" Lilacpaw asked, the air suddenly feeling cold around her. After all she had actual reason for her clan to suspect her from her visit to SunClan, recovering from an injury in Renegade Regime and hanging out at borders like MoonClan. Despite all of that Glowstar never made any accusations towards her. Compared to her Snowpaw seemed like a model apprentice so it was hard to fathom why anyone would distrust him just for being absent. Was MoonClan controlling of him? She was beginning to feel uncomfortable in her own fur at the thought. Snowpaw was so honorable, he didn't deserve to be punished with chores or standing vigils for long nights just because he was late, it was so unfair. Her gaze turned to him lit with concern to see if her worries were valid. It was odd how much she cared about someone she had only known for such a short while, but she felt every bit of it.
He calmed a little to explain why he was so distraught. "Leviathan is...," he struggled to find the words to describe Moon's current leader. "I'm sure your clanmates told you stories about Foxstar, but I feel like Leviathan is a lot like that. From what I learned, she was one of the most sadistic and violent leaders SunClan has ever had. I've only talked ever to him a handful of times, but hes definitely bad news. He made it known when he took over that he wouldnt tolerate traitors." He shook his head. "I couldn't tell you why he's so possessive. But it's scary to think about. Before him, times were so much more relaxed. Now it's just..." He sighed deeply finally releasing the stress he had built up before. He felt bad for ruining the mood. "I'm sorry if I worried you," he said apologetically. Whatever happens after this, happens. He glanced up toward the sky to see where the sun was. But at least we still have more time. The smile returned to his face. "We should probably get going."
Lilacpaw's fur stood on end at the mention of Foxstar, she was the most violent and cruel threat DayClan had ever faced in their history. Killing their queens, kidnapping and brainwashing their kits, and enslaving her clan. Every kit grew up hearing horror stories of her, only problem was not all of them were just exaggerated stories. "That's awful Snowpaw, I can't imagine having a controlling leader like that," She said, her heart full of sympathy. Her mom and dad had to live in SunClan forcibly undergoing Foxstar's initiation before escaping and saving DayClan and SpringClan by recruiting NightClan to help. But seeing that Snowpaw had to go through this tugged at her heart, however he seemed eager to get going and she had to agree that she was too. Lilacpaw guided him along the large pond, it was an easy path. All any cat had to do was follow the water until they reached the large wheat field and they were home free. DayClan had dangerous predators like jackals, wolves, bears, and big cats, but thanks to the efforts of the animal whisperer rank that her sisters were in it largely kept big animals at bay.
"Do you like it in MoonClan?" Lilacpaw asked as she walked, although once she said it out loud she realized how rude it was to ask him that now. She had admitted to him to that she didn't feel she belonged in her own clan, but now after hearing about MoonClan she realized that maybe she didn't have it so bad. Even if she got a low social class everyone in her clan was loving and believed in change and a good heart. No one was ever doomed for failure or deemed impossible even the traitors who betrayed DayClan had a place.
Snowpaw appreciated her sympathy. It was nice to have someone else to talk to about how he felt about the current state of his clan. He feared that if he talked about it inside of MoonClan, it would have brought unwanted attention. It was too risky since everyone either accepted Leviathan or didn't but was too afraid to afraid to do anything about it. But thinking about it made him tired. One of these days, he will do something about it.
He thought about it for a moment as he followed behind Lilacpaw. That was a good question. "I wouldn't say I hate it there but there are some aspects I dont like about it. But what can I do; I'm just an apprentice." he said reluctantly. "Apart from our leader, it's really not as bad a place to be. The cats are as nice as any other. They're nowhere near as bad as SunClan."
Lilacpaw nodded along, not entire sure if declaring a clan as being better than SunClan was a high expectation to meet, "From the little I've heard MoonClan always sounded pleasant," She said. Although she left out that she had also heard of MoonClan being weak from Wastedstar provoking Primal Instinct to attack her to the numerous times that SunClan had taken it over. DayClan was also known for being weak, but they had powerful allies making it incredibly difficult for anyone to touch them. However even she found annoyance in DayClan's apparent weakness. She knew DayClan always came out triumphant and that their losses 90% of the time were from other clans fighting dirty by forcing them to surrender due to a member taking hostage, but it still left her feeling bitter inside.
The Everbleeds were rocky and thickly forested, but due to them walking along the water side it actually had a welcoming appeal to it, almost cozy looking. Every few steps they took they could spot a different animal, it was lush with life, almost too much for it to be believable that a clan lived near it. A normal clan would have hunted most of these animals, but as Lilacpaw had explained, there were so many large predators around these parts that most warriors didn't dare to use this part of the territory to hunt.
Lilacpaw walked backward with a big grin on your face, "You ready?" She asked, mischief dancing in her eyes, but her smile was soft and genuine as she backed up into the bushes vanishing from sight. When Snowpaw would emerge from the bushes he would descend into clouds of golden fields for as far as the eye could see. The never ending horizon of wheat and wild flowers made DayClan feel like it could go on for eternity. There were trees sparsely scattered, but it was nothing like a normal forest, the land was wide open, a cat could see everything on the surface and yet hunt easily thanks to the tall wheat and wildflowers. The scent of apple blossoms and bluebells sailed through the air and the sound of a chorus of ducks at a nearby open field could be heard nearby.
A grin flashed on Snowpaws face and he followed Lilacpaw through the bushes only to come out on the other side to a completely different terrain. He paused in awe taking in what was before him, his jaw dropping. It was nothing he had ever seen before! He looked around him and as far as he could see, there were golden strands of something he didnt recognize. "Lilacpaw, what is this stuff," he called out as he walked through it, running his tail through it. It was softer than he had expected. He sniffed the air and it had a sweet aroma to it but he couldnt place the smells with anything he had come across. "This is beautiful!" he exclaimed as he frolicked through the field, having the time of his life.
(I'm so happy I'm able to reply to our rps now! I still haven't graduated, not until Friday ends, but hopefully nothing random pops up where I need to do more work)
"They're wheat mixed with wildflowers," Lilacpaw purred. Normally she felt embarrassed by her clan, but the land was far too majestic to ever feel shamed by. The meadows felt like the embodiment of freedom, where any cat could run for miles and it would keep carrying on into an infinite horizon.
Lilacpaw brushed up against Snowpaw playfully, "If your side isn't too sore we can race all the way to the hidden pond."
Snowpaw was hesitant. The offer sounded so tempting but the fact of the matter was, he didn't know what there was beyond his line of sight. "Uh...I don't know about that..." he said halfheartedly. For all he knew, there could be any number of creatures out there waiting to jump him. His wound for the most part was covering and he didn't feel any pain though so he could make a quick getaway if he needed to but still...
"Are you certain its safe to do something like that here?" he questioned as he smiled sheepishly. "I mean I wouldn't even know where I was supposed to be going. It is a hidden pond after all!"
"Oh," Lilacpaw blushed, "Yeah, that's true, you wouldn't know where it's at, I'll just guide you to it."
She came up by his shoulder and gently nudged him, "See over there, that big hill, that's hidden pond, it's great, has an amazing view and there might be some supplies there like cobwebs to help patch you up better. And..." Lilacpaw fidgeted with her tail as she spoke, "If you want we could also sit and talk up there too and just hangout some more." The real sad part about all of this was that she knew that Snowpaw would have to go back home. Every fiber of her being wanted to find anyway to have him stay. She knew for a fact that she wasn't this close to anyone in her clan. All she knew was that she wanted more of this, more of them being together.
Snowpaw's gaze shifted over to the hill Lilacpaw mentioned and glanced down at the scratches which have scabbed over at this point. I don't think I need the cobwebs but it wouldn't hurt he thought. Then his eyes widened briefly from her suggestion and he looked at her. He wasn't as dense as to not understand what she wanted but he was afraid of what would happen once he returned back to camp. He smiled, deciding that it was totally worth the risk. "You know what? I would love to see more of this hidden pond with you. Lead the way."
Lilacpaw smiled back at him and led him all the way up to the hill. The pond was hidden, it was easy to walk past the grove of trees and think nothing was on the other side of the rocky boulders. The rock slide formation looked as normal as the others at the top of the hill making it hard to even remember where it was located. In someways the Hidden Pond symbolized freedom, no other clan had a secret location that the leader knew about, but openly chose to stay away from as much as possible to give her clan privacy to talk. There were few clans out there as respectful as DayClan was to not only their cats, but others outside of their clan.
"We're here," Lilacpaw said, sliding back the moss and foliage to reveal that behind the rocky walls was thee hidden pond. Along the ceiling was a skylight allowing light to filter through. At the far back center were tiny waterfalls trickling water into the pond. All along the ground were tiny brooks of water and lilypads. The water was shallow and refreshing, but more importantly there were some cobwebs in the creases. Lilacpaw had already gripped onto some and were collecting them from the creases to help Snowpaw out. "Cool right?"
