Well. It probably wasn't surprising that someone had literally just rushed their way into DayClan camp. And at this point, it wasn't surprising either that the cat doing so was Shule, of the Regime. Just the day before... she'd become the group's Commander, but DayClan didn't know that yet. All they saw, was, once again, the ebony feline with four pristine white paws rudely interrupting their day. At least it wasn't Foxbane?
"Where is Glowstar? I need to speak with her." The crystalline eyed feline demanded, already seeming to look around for the leader. She had a sense of purpose around her, and something about her seemed more... forward, perhaps? Shule didn't quite seem to be holding back as she usually would. Though, luckily, this time she also didn't seem angry, or sad, just especially determined, which was probably good. No one really wanted to test her temper.
She was accompanied by few cats. Sean and Kaisra, mainly. But that was more because she sort of had to bring her Sentinels with, given their duty was to protect her. And in this case, she wanted to bring those she was closest with.
Buttercuppaw was taken by surprise at Shule's sudden arrival. She has seen this cat before with Glowstar. She didnt know much about her but knew she was an ally to her leader. "Glowstar is out at the moment but she should be back at any moment, now." The sweet apprentice answered. "Can I get you anything while your waiting?"
"No, trust me, those necklace accessories totally make you look hot."
Glowstar sashayed towards the ruin camp entrance, Funk E'tan by her side, but stopped short of fully walking into camp when she spotted Shule, Kaisra, and Sean there. Her heart stopped with her movements, why were they here? Neither of them were on good terms with her. Her paws quickly moved filling in the gap between them, "Is everything alright?" She asked, worry flashed in her emerald eyes as she looked to Sean almost for an answer, likely because he was the more emotional one of the family in front of her so his eyes betrayed more. Fortunately Sean didn't give away much, mainly because he had that same judgmental stare at her like he always did, but this time looked more cocky. Why did he look cocky? "Are you guys taking over DayClan?" She said more as a guess of confusion cause why else did Sean have a smug look as if he was totally about to win something?

She gave the slightest nod of appreciation at the apprentice who greeted her, inwardly surprised by the warm greeting. Then again, she supposed they were allied, weren't they? So long as Glowstar didn't call it off once she heard the news. "I don't need an-" The new Commander hardly had the chance to finish her sentence when she spotted Green stepping into camp. Ah, perfect timing.
All the same, Shule gave the leader a rather blank stare at the blunt question of them taking over. "If that were the case, I think I might have brought along a few more Mercenaries." She commented, her tone cool as her gaze slid over to Funk, immediately hardening into something far icier, though she was careful to keep her voice from betraying things the same as her eyes as she looked back to her sister in law. "While it's not the only reason I'm here, I thought you should know, as of yesterday, I am Renegade Regime's new Commander."
Take over Dayclan? Buttercuppaw backed up as Glowstar began questioning their guests. Were they taking over Dayclan? She stayed where she could hear. She may only be an apprentice and just an animal whisperer but she would defend Glowstar even if it cost her, her life. However, she didnt think three cats would try to invade an entire clan and win. She breathed a sigh of relief when her answers were immediately answered. They weren't here to invade or harm Glowstar. They were here to spread the good news. "Congratulations" Buttercuppaw piped up before instantly warming under her fur for interrupting.

"Well, I'm glad one good thing came out of that mess."
Funk E'tan was never sure about the necklaces he came to wore. He used to be so proud of his pelt, never a blemish on it until Shule got a hold of him. Now he had nearly died twice in the same day and had a long jagged scar to prove it. The scarves and bandanas were the safest, covered it up the most. Though he had slowly worked to necklaces, chokers, collars. The like a little smaller but still did their job. Today though was a white leopard print infinity scarf. Least that's what the tag read.
Even with everything going on, Glowstar was insistent on his appearances in Dayclan. They needed to stop looking at him like he was some monster in a cloak. Well, they should still, but at least they knew the monster wasn't gonna go out of its way to hurt them. Of course, nothing ever went as he hoped. He stopped next to Glowstar and felt the scar begin to burn. There was Shule, the reason he wore these things, now back in Dayclan. Somehow holding himself in place, one of his paws fiddling with the scarf. Shule's gaze met his though, and Funk's claw slipped through the fabric. All at once, he turned back to Glow briefly, "Wait, why is that your first assumption?" he managed to get out before Shule started. New commander? Course, he couldn't be surprised with what little he knew of the Regime. But normally, you'd wait until a gathering to announce that. "Is that so? Then what other news does the pigeon flock bring?" He didn't move, attempting to keep his face neutral despite the flickers of anger in his eyes.
"I mean, Sean's looking real smug like he knows something I'm going to be mad about. I'd be mad if DayClan was taken over by Renegade Regime. But also confused because they don't have enough mercenaries so how would that work? I mean I can see why, they're going to start inbreeding soon and need some DayClan blood to-" Glowstar paused to listen to the rest of what Shule was saying, "Congratulations," Glowstar said. For as much as nothing ever truly bothered her personally in this moment it felt right to feel something, but she just didn't. Maybe because she always felt Shule should and would become commander so it wasn't surprising enough to feel something. But even now she could hardly offer a natural smile to rise to her lips. Glowstar tipped her head to the side, why am I being so dull to Shule when she at least deserves a smile from me? Her head hit against Funk for a moment looking up into his eyes as she smiled at him with an aww expression, as the reason seemed to click. She was defensive of Funk and his pride that Shule had taken from him when she killed him. She couldn't force herself to be happy for Shule because she genuinely loved someone enough to take something personally for once.
Glowstar looked back at Shule with a smoothed over smile, relaxing her features so she didn't look too unreasonably giddy, "What's the other thing you're here for?"
Her gaze half looked at Kaisra for a moment before looking away. She couldnt' tell if Shule brought Kaisra because they had few other sentinels or because Shule knew her and Sean couldn't argue "distastefully" in front of Kaisra.
Kaisra wouldn't have come, if she could, and she intentionally looked away from Glowstar the moment the she-cat caught her eye. She had come because Shule asked her to. Maybe because she wanted to be around cats who supported her. Funny, now she had two leader mothers, and though she was still greatly hurt from that comment moons ago, she could feel a prick of worry in her heart at the idea they might fight. As such, the she-cat shifted uncomfortably.
Shule turned her gaze back to Funk for a long moment again, and this time, she held it. It wasn't a difficult thing, though her stare was the sort that could cause even the strongest to wither under it's scrutiny. She had to think through her words carefully now, though her lack of appreciation for his comment was downright tangible. "I don't think I was talking to you." The new Commander stated simply, choosing to not address his comment. She could already feel her temper flaring, and this meeting was about reconciliation. This might be her one chance to at least lay things out, rather than putting them forever at odds, so she needed to keep it together. It was harder than she made it look.
"We need to talk, Glowstar. The Regime and DayClan have been long time allies, and that is not something I'm willing to lose without attempting at least, to clear the air." Though true, it was hard to admit, that there was a canyon of things between them. It was even harder to be the one to state it. But Shule wasn't talking about just herself anymore, and the Regime couldn't afford to make an enemy of Green.
Glowstar sat down looking at Shule considerately, “You were robbed of your motherhood and you came back to your kits to make up for lost time. I was deceived into believing they were mine and was hurt you took half my kits and lashed out in all the wrong ways. Who could blame either of us when we were wronged and fated to turn on each other? At some point I realized I could never forgive you for what you did because I never needed to forgive you, I needed to understand you. I understand why you did what you did. You are my sister in law, we may talk, but our alliance is safe.”
Glowstar stood up looking for the three to follow, “we can go somewhere private.” She would have felt guilt accepting an alliance when Shule had murdered her boyfriend but she had already set a bad precedent when Foxstar murdered Deal and she remained in alliance with SunClan so what could she do? She looked to Funk and Buttercuppaw, “Commander Shule has bodies guards so you two can be mine.”
Buttercuppaw perked her ears and leaped to her paws. What an honor that Glowstar was asking her to be her body guard! The small, ginger and white apprentice nodded eagerly. "Of course, Glowstar." She purred, though she gave Funk an uneasy look. She didn't know him too well. Glowstar trusted him but Buttercuppaw was not as easily trusting. She was friendly, yes, but she never let her guard down.

Funk met Shule's gaze, forcing his own features to stay lax. He should have left. Really, he expected to have already been gone. But the Nemesis was here, rooted to the spot. He wondered why when he felt Glowstar's head tapped him and his gaze snapped to her. And she gave him look, that smile. No matter how many times he saw it, it made him melt. A kind of runny that made the reason become clear. He couldn't leave her behind. Not now, not anymore. The feeling was uneasy, but he returned the smile. As sharp and loving as ever before looking back at Shule. Her feathers were ruffled so easily, he couldn't help but enjoy it despite fearing her.
He tried, really tried, to not zone out. This was all a dull history, and he really did not want to admit he didn't care. Even his fear was placated some. The bubble popped when Glow said he and the apprentice would be her bodyguards. It was a chance, a chance to get out of this. Funk already knew the answer though, as he smirked. "Of course, can't miss out on something like this." He purred, ignoring the questionable look from the apprenticeship and a mild irritation that the alliance would continue. Not that he had any say at the moment, so he let it go.

She wanted to say they couldn't come with, she really did. But Shule couldn't do that. Glowstar had a point with the bodyguards thing, and if her mate and kit were coming with, what was a League Nemesis and an apprentice? Not preferable, then again, since when did she get everything she wanted? Offering a small nod of her head, she waited to follow the DayClan leader to somewhere more private.
In contrast to Green, Shule never had understood her sister in law. Glowstar was a mystery she couldn't hope to solve. Some things seemed to make sense, but others? She had no clue, and she doubted she ever would. In the same token, the ebony feline, admittedly, had never forgiven her either. For interacting with cats who hurt her family especially, and on some level, for taking her kits away from her, even knowing it wasn't the DayClan leader's fault at all. That's why, she supposed, it had to be her to ask for this talk.
Glowstar felt her heart soar, like it lost all gravity and could fly freely just by that one smile from Funk E'tan alone and visibly blushed. Someday things would be perfect.
"We're here," Glowstar said after they climbed up a tall almost mountainous hill and were just standing at the side of it, not even at the top, but she brushed some loose ivy out of the way from a particularly rocky area of the hill revealing a lit up passage way and stepped through. Leading the way she guided them to a whole other world, the temperature was different inside, warmer. There were butterflies lying low to the ground to absorb the most heat and flowers grew along the grass. Above them was the sky, but surrounding all sides was the hill. Along the back wall were some small waterfalls and a pond lied out in the back center. Typically she didn't intrude the Hidden Pond allowing her warriors to escape from upper commands and talk peacefully without worry here. But given the serious nature of this situation she wanted to give them somewhere they could talk without feeling prying eyes.
"This is DayClan's hidden pond, not everyone knows about it, but now everyone here does. Unless you're like me and forget where it is on twelve separate occasion until muscle memory takes over. Anyways I'll let you lead the conversation since you came all this way," Glowstar said, sitting down.
Sean could tell Kaisra seemed incredibly focused on everything going on, she almost seemed to be spacing out, especially the times he noticed Glowstar looking at Kaisra and licked the top of his daughters head. He couldn't pretend to not feel guilty, he was the one that gave his kits to Glowstar to take care of when he wasn't able to. She even tried to persuade him otherwise. Looking at the moment in front of him, the time passed for him to say thank-you to Glowstar. It felt... Bad. Like if he had thanked Glowstar for caring for his kits in the moment it would have come off sarcastic and did it say if when he tried to say something meaningful and nice to her it would still come off mean? He looked at Shule and then focused back on Glowstar, he hoped this alliance would work out, maybe the families could finally mend their differences, although Funk's presence was like a looming reality for him. If Funk and Glowstar did get together, he doubted Glowstar this alliance would work out for long.
Buttercuppaw followed, her tail high. When they entered the Hidden Pond, Buttercuppaw stared in awe. No matter how many times she sees it, it still amazes her. Why couldnt Dayclan camp be here?

"Gee, what kind of walk is this?" Funk figured they'd go back into Glowstar's den or something. Not do like a 30 minute hike all the way up here. He was the king of distance, able to just walk for miles on a flat surface, though the instant this sloped up, he knew he was screwed. And the proof was his huffing some as they finally reached the Hidden Pond. The sight? Nice. The burning in his lungs? Not as nice. His legs shook as he sat next to, but slightly behind Glowstar.

Shule wasn't surprised at Glowstar's suggestion that she lead this conversation. All the same, that didn't make it easier, really. There was a lot between them, where to start? "I want to renew the alliance. But we can't do that unless we come to an understanding." She reiterated again. "You said the alliance is safe, but I don't want an alliance where we're constantly at odds." Shule didn't want an alliance where she was constantly expecting someone Glowstar associated herself with would hurt her family. And surely, Glowstar didn't want an alliance where she was wondering which cat she loved Shule would kill next, regardless of the justifications, or lack thereof.
The Commander wasn't good about voicing this, admittedly. She was a stubborn cat, at heart, set in her ways and ideals such that she never really did take the chance to try and figure anything out with Green, or build a relationship.
Sean looked between Commander Hotti- Shule and Obnoxioussisterstar, the tension was so thick he could cut it with his claw.
"Hey! Do you guys remember that old story about the council of kings?" Sean asked, "Cause it was kind of like this. There was an alliance of four kings, together they made decisions for their nations. One day a greasy little nobody came in and said there were zombies coming for each of their kingdoms. This was stupid though, there was no such thing as zombies. But the wisest king decided to play devils advocate and suggest that zombies were real and how much of a threat they would be. The other kings laughed at the old wise king though and went about their day, but the wise king is always prepared. So the other three nations were destroyed while the wise nation took the proper precautions and hid away."
"Oh yeah! You can always spot a Regime fairytale when it ends with the moral of the story being to hide away and screw the losers who don't," Glowstar laughed.
"Okay, yes, but the point of me telling the story is that a council isn't good if we all agree. It's good if we disagree. Maybe if those other three kings hadn't been so comfortable believing they were right all the time they might actually take the other king seriously. We're different, but we're stronger for it," Sean said with a cocky smirk.
"Sooo, what you really just did was make a super cute creative way of disagreeing with your wife by quoting a fairytale?" Glowstar asked, matching Sean's grin.
"WHA- UH! NEV-ER!" Sean scoffed, losing all composure before relaxing by smoothing his fur back across his forehead, "Look, all I'm saying is there's no way DayClan, the Regime, SunCult, and the league are going to get along smoothly. But if you each come up with a way to compromise and communicate this could be a really great alliance... It just maybe requires some..." He whispered lowly, "rules."
Glowstar eyed Sean carefully, clearly the word rules was a no no word for her.
