Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Okay so she spent her whole life alone in the Keepers Mansion dreaming of a friend and when she finally got a friend she convinced her to burn down SunClan and DayClan. So now everybody hates her and when she went back to DayClan what did she do? She tried to burn it down again! She rubbed both her paws down the sides of her face, "What is wrong with me?" Bluejay groaned falling back on the grass, her gaze staring up at the moon and stars. Bluejay looked out past the wheat fields and into the forests, she only knew of two clans her entire life, SunClan and DayClan. That was her entire world and even SunClan felt so far away. She wondered what this land was if it even belonged to anyone, but looking back at DayClan she knew if she was going to practice being nice it needed to be where no one saw her and would make fun of her for talking to herself. Bluejay wandered into the forest, the trees felt threatening, they were clustered close and there were so many of them compared to in DayClan where they were sparse and far a part.
She leapt up onto a stone and lifted up her chin, "Hello there, I'm Bluejay and I'm sorry I convinced my sister to burn down your forest... Twice. but I would really love to be your friend!" She introduced to the wind before smiling, that sounded perfect. Who wouldn't want to be her friend? Wait was that perfect? She was noticing there were a lot of things she didn't know from being shut up in an abandoned two-leg mansion for so long.
The sun had finally begun to set, bringing along the rising moon and a gentle chilling breeze that rustled the flora that covered the MoonClan territory. A black puffy body slipped it’s way out of the confines of the camp. For once the she-cat was silent as she moved her mouth in a soft smile as her eyes scanned the slowly darkening area. She’d volunteered herself to take an early solo patrol, while she would have preferred to go with some company no one had volunteered with her. But, she didn’t mind the silence too much, after all it was easier to talk to newcomers if she was alone and didn’t have someone being standoffish at her side. Not, that she would have expected to even bump into anybody at this time. Any cat that didn’t follow Selene would be getting ready to sleep for the night. The she-cat giggled quietly to herself as she recalled the struggle it had been adjusting to the nocturnal cycle that MoonClan followed, but she had now come to enjoy it.
Soft crunching could be heard as Selwyn maneuvered her way through the dark undergrowth. She didn’t have a set destination on where she was going to go. She didn’t feel like getting wet so checking the southern and western borders was a no go. Which only left the shared border of DayClan to the east or to NightClan in the north. Seeing as the DayClan border was technically the closest the black she-cat decided that would probably be the best option. Since she was alone if anything were to happen she could get back to camp as quickly as possible. Her pointed ears flicked as the creatures of the night started to come alive, the she-cat sticking close to bushes and trees just in case an owl decided to try and make a meal out of her. She’d almost made it to the DayClan border when an unfamiliar scent that was carried by the soft wind hit her nose. Her head shot up as curiosity burned in the pit of her belly. Selwyn wasn’t the greatest of trackers and distinguishing scents but from what she could decipher it seemed like it was only one cat, and they definitely weren’t from MoonClan.
Selwyn eagerly picked up her pace ensuring that she remained downwind of the intruder, not wanting to scare them off. As she began to get closer she slunk to the ground and her quick stride turned into a slow stalk. She was able to situate herself behind a tree and peered out from behind it to get a look at who the cat was. She’d just got there in time to see the cat jump onto a rock and hear their loud introduction. At the she-cat’s words Selwyn couldn’t stop the giggle that bubbled up from her chest and out her mouth. What an odd thing to say!
At the sound of Selwyn's laughter Bluejay's whole body stood still as stone as though something ate away at her very life, she may as well have looked like she died in place. Slowly her body seemed to revive, the faint twitch of her tail tip, the slow movement of her ears, her movements were like slow ocean waves, relaxing, but almost unnaturally slow. Watching her was like watching an ant try to detect food nearby, only this time the food was Selwyn. Bluejay's head turned in the direction of Selwyn with an amused expression, but her eyes looked all wrong. One eye was golden as the sun, but the pupil looked almost reptilian, the slit too thin while her other eye had two pupils with two sets of colored attached to each one, amber and green. However her lips teetered into a friendly smile and while her sudden joyous expression looked genuine the way her body language and hostility changed so suddenly made her intentions feel false.
"I don't appreciate you laughing at me, I hope you know I can tear you to bits if I really wanted to," Bluejay promised Selwyn, coming off more cocky than she should. While Bluejay was taller than the average feline, she looked nothing like a warrior, she was wiry with no visible muscle. She had good bone structure and definitely a forest cat body, but it was like she never had any training in her life.
The black-she cat's giggle suddenly stopped as she was spotted. Selwyn was for the most part was a dauntless cat. There wasn't much of anything that could frighten her away. Which could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. Depending on the situation. It was probably why so many others said she had zero self-preservation skills. So, when the unfamiliar she-cat had turned her way the black furred Moonclanner didn't turn tail and run. No, sir. Instead her already shiny yellow eyes seemed to brighten with curiosity and intrigue. She'd never seen a cat's eyes like that before. No longer seeing the point in hiding behind the tree Selwyn moved from her hiding spot and out into the open. How else was she going to learn more about this new cat if she stayed hidden or ran away? What was that saying again? Curiosity killed the cat?
Selwyn's bushy black tail swayed side to side with intrigue and excitement at the prospect of having a potentially new friend. After all the cat had seemed to be practicing a greeting and hey Selwyn LOVED greeting newcomers. Her ears gave a soft twitch as the she-cat spoke which only caused the black she-cat to give a genuinely amused giggle. But, the she-cat nodded her head in agreement. Despite of frail the unknown cat looked Selwyn herself wasn't much of a fighter the only way she'd win any type of fight is if she talked someone into submission. "I'm sorry! I was just ya know surprised! I don't usually come across cats talkin' to the wind ya know?" she apologized her voice sounding genuinely apologetic despite her choice of words seeming to mock Bluejay's actions. "Also, I totally believe that ya could tear me a new one. Between you an' me I ain't the best of fighters" the she-cat easily admitting, "one time I was used as an example as to what not to do in a fight. True story!" Anyone in their right mind would definitely not have admitted to this, but Selwyn was a cat who spoke her truths.
"Yeah well- thanks for that messed up apology, I mean c'mon, that may as well have been a back handed insult," Bluejay said, turning her head away, but her eyes moved back in Selwyn's direction, "You know that entire clan back theree let's you walk on their territory anywhere you want. You can literally go to DayClan camp if you wanted to. I just mention since I've never seen you around before so I guess you're not from Day or Sun. Thank me, because they're the most annoying combination of cats you could ever imagine," Bluejay scoffed, "So what's up with where you're from, they StarClan or hail the Sun God or something?"
She tried to rake her mind for what other clans there could possibly even be, but couldn't think of anything so instead she just sat back and waited for a response. Bluejay had hanging from the side of her ear a short misty lilac feather and a long grey feather making it very distinctive that she was a DayClan cat. They always had two feathers that most clan cultures didn't understand outside of that it held some sort of rite of passage significance. Besides that though she didn't look like a DayClan cat. They were either various shades of red or simply black or white, not in between like she was. Her fur was as silvery as moonlit shadows seeping down her body like an inky substance, slick and shiny. Pearly white bloomed out thick and spiky from her neck and chest fur like a fur cape made of gardenias shimmering cold greys and specks of green. Starry prints dances across her eyes like a painted mask of celestial constellations and her tail was a cloud of wild blond curls. She looked like a MoonClan catch much more. It was like the longer anyone stared at her the more things they could make out that was off about her.
