Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The dampness from the new-leaf rains had hung on to the she-cat's fur, seeping through the strands and clinging to her skin. Shivering slightly and cursing under her breath, Palesun picked her way delicatly though the undergrowth, her ears flattened stubbornly against her head. She had been out hunting since sun-high and hardly smelled anything from a mouse. Unlike her, most of the life in the forest seemed to be hiding away from the rain. They're much smarter, she thought, curling her lip in annoyance.
Suddenly, there was the sound of a branch cracking underpaw, sending the she-cat down into a crouch with her belly close to the forest floor. She winced slightly when the cold water hit her skin, but she stayed where she was. Scenting anything in this weather was tough, so whether it was a Clanmate or a foe, she couldn't tell.
With the freezing temperatures and frigid snow of leafbare gone and melted, the deputy had almost let his guard down in excitement of the warmer weather. However, those hopes were squandered almost as quickly as the sudden rain as of late. If Hystericplague had known about the weather, he would have never left his den. But, here he was, a trembling mess with a jaw full of soaked herbs for his latest experiment. He should have just borrowed some from the medicine cat den as per usual, but he had noticed that they were running low on the herbs he needed, so he took it upon himself to gather some. Nothing unusual, as the deputy still spent most of his free time with his old hobbies, but he deeply regretted it now.
So, the hairless tom made his way through the forest, muttering muffled curses at the weather. He really couldn't get back to camp soon enough, and his hurried, careless pawsteps showed it.
