Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Limbo. Purgatory. Twilight. Dusk. Living. Dead. The Cusp. Born under a Reed Moon, it should not come as any surprise that Wisp seems to transcend the permeable border between the two worlds as easily as one might step left instead of right. Her mottled pelt looks like the forest floor bathed in moonlight and moves like a shadow, serpentine and fluid as the river that cuts their territory in half. The she-cat was found in the territory as a kit under the pale gaze of the Reed Moon, alone with no trace of any other cat anywhere nearby. Truthfully, it seemed an omen, though the cats that found her couldn't decide if it was a good one or a bad one. Raised as a MoonClan follower through and through, Wisp kept the ephemeral name as a testament to her origins and wears it with pride despite her other clanmates bearing a full warrior name. The she-cat doesn't sleep often and can be found wandering the moors under the red light of a rising sun. She never says why she doesn't sleep, though some believe it may have to due with her thrashing night terrors that plague her when she is found in her nest at camp. She is a withdrawn, serious cat that doesn't have much patience for silliness or games, and prefers to ensure the clan's good standing with the Goddess Selene over any petty mortal squabbles that might plague the clan. She is not a stranger to drawing blood, but prefers diplomacy as a first attempt since it breeds fewer grudges in the long run. A strange looking cat and an ever stranger soul, Wisp takes some getting used to, as unnerving as her presence often is. Still, those who make the effort find a stalwart friend and protector.
Selene wasn't known for her cruelty or capriciousness like the Sun, but from her perspective, Wisp couldn't fathom any other reason than a curse from the Goddess herself for her problems. Speckled with white and black like a moonlit forest floor, Wisp was, from her birth, set apart and strange. It didn't help that, having been born under the Reed Moon, her destiny was intimately entwined with those spirits left wandering the earth, and those powerful enough to return on their own. As a kit, the shadowy figures that surrounded camp used to frighten her, though they typically only appeared during a new moon and disappeared as soon as Selene returned to the sky. This fear, it seems, twisted her enough that sleep didn't come easily to her anymore. Rather than slipping off to oblivion each morning with the rest of her clan, Wisp lay awake, tense and alert for any spirits that might linger.
Her dreams, as rare as sleep was to her, were also plagued by ghosts. Some might say ghosts are simply memories, but Wisp knew better. These were malicious, cruel beings that existed only to torment and harm. She spent the entire night running from those creatures that invade her dreams, making it harder to ignore them during her waking hours. The only relief she could find were in the poppyseeds she could sometimes get the Medium to give her, but even then it didn't also go as planned. Sometimes the poppies would simply render her immobile while her dreams happened around her, unable to move or call for help even when an ethereal claw sliced her throat or held her under the water until her lungs burned.
This lead to a permanently exhausted, socially outcast cat known as Wisp. Her life was not what one would call happy. It wasn't even what one might call good. The only thing that gave her the strength to continue through each day was the knowledge that Selene must have put her into this situation for some greater good. After all, the Goddess would never harm one of her own blood. But you aren't one of her blood, nagged a snide voice in the back of her head, reminding her - not for the first time - of her outsider status. Though she was found as a newborn kit and raised as though she'd been born in the clan, the fact remained that her blood was different.
These were the thoughts running through the exhausted she-cat's mind as she wandered MoonClan's territory, existing more in her mind than the corporeal world. It wasn't until she'd caught the scent of SunClan that she realized what she'd done and grew cold with fear.

Unfortunately for wisp, Littlestar and her patrol happened to be walking along the MoonClan border when she had crossed. They had already taken in two new MoonClan cats as an initiate in the past moon, and here was yet another one brazen enough to step onto their sacred lands. She allowed the she-cat to walk slightly farther, before motioning for her patrol to position themselves between the she-cat and her escape route back to MoonClan
"Well, well well. What have we here?" she chuckled, stepping out into the harsh sunlight, the painted symbols on her pelt coming alive like the flames painted onto her was dancing along the long strands of her fur "Yet another MoonClan cat has walked into my waiting paws. What shall I do with this one? Give you a few scars on your way back home, skin you as an example. Or perhaps I'll just take you back as an initiate. Decisions, Decisions"

Wisp cursed, long and low, when Littleappeared before her. Judging by the scents, there was a whole patrol of cats with her, cutting off her escape route entirely. Raising her pale eyes, the dappled she-cat looked straight at the SunClan leader, unflinching as she maintained the gaze. "Littlestar," she mewed, dipping her head just slightly, enough it could be considered a nod, no more. "I didn't realize I'd trespassed. You must know as well as I do that I have little interest in being in your territory as you have being in mine. Might you forgive a little indiscretion and let me be back on my way?"
Her polite language was only that which she learned at a young age. It meant death to be caught on SunClan territory - if not by the cats that lived on it, then by the Sun himself. He was a jealous god that wouldn't hesitate to strike down a pious MoonClan follower. And on that font, Wisp truly was pious. She believed in Selene's grace as much as she believed in the air she breathed or the water she drank. Her Goddess was real, and kind, and good. So what if she couldn't sleep and felt like a total outcast in her own clan? As long as she had her Goddess' grace, she would be fine.
But now? Now the ground she stood on felt hard and implacable, unforgiving and searing hot. She wasn't so sure she hadn't been cursed already. She glanced behind her at the territory she'd accidentally left behind, and caught a glimpse of a shadow creature, darting into the shade of a pine. It didn't seem to like SunClan's territory. Interesting...
Satinpaw was standing by her mom when she silently signaled her patrol to block off the dappled MoonClan cat. Given her small size the fluffy she-cat thought it better to just stay were she was. Orange paint streaked her mostly white fur, but other than that looked pristine. She bit back a hiss as the MoonClan follower spoke. "You shouldn't of crossed in the first place." she snapped before she could bite her tongue.

Thistlestar? Who was Thistlestar? There was no even a Thistlestar in the forest right now, but perhaps the cats of MoonClan were more ignorant than she thought. Or perhaps there was a new Thistlestar in the mountain clans. Littlestar tilted her head slightly watching as the she-cat pleaded for mercy, to be allowed to return to MoonClan and be forgiven. It wasn't a request she planned on granting, but it was nice to see that she at least knew how to speak respectfully
"Unfortunately for you, I can no grant your request. You are the third MoonClan cat to cross our borders in less than a moon. I can not simply allow you to return home with no consequences" Her claws dug into the earth below her as she thought about what she wanted to do with the cat before you
"However since it seems like you have no ill intentions, if you come along quietly than perhaps after a proper interrogation we can send you on your way"
Swiftfire watched on in quiet contempt for the MoonClan cat. Looking the stranger over, she didn't seem to to be a threat by any means. From a past he had known before, MoonClan were usually taken out on sight, so it came as a surprise this trespasser was still breathing. He bit his tongue to keep himself from speaking out of turn, the taste of copper filling his mouth signaling he drew blood. His ears flicked at the sound of Satinpaw's words and a slight smirk crept upon his face.

Interrogation? Wisp couldn't hide the faint shiver that crawled down her spine at Littlestar's words. Nothing good ever came from an interrogation. And two other MoonClan cats? She must have been so out of it this moon that the fact escaped her. She began to worry about her clanmates trapped in the sun-beached territory. She swallowed down a retort to the tiny white she-cat that didn't look much older than a kit. It was easy to judge when it wasn't you in that position.
"I don't suppose I really have a choice, but you know that," she replied, casting one last glance at her home before dropping her head. She knew pain awaited her ahead and wanted to avoid whatever pain now she could. It was known that SunClan cats took great pleasure from torturing others - she even heard they killed their own kits if they weren't strong or swift enough. A look of disgust flickered over her expression, but she quickly tamped it down.
"Are my other clanmates safe? Are they unharmed?" she asked, raising her head just a little to look at the SunClan leader.

"Your former clan-mate are basking in the Sun Gods glory and learning our ways" she replied flicking her tail and turning to lead the she-cat back towards their camp "They have set aside their ties to MoonClan and now have new names to show their dedication to their new deity" she began to walk, knowing that the she-cat had little choice but to keep following

"I'll believe that when I see it," replied Wisp, unable to hide her dismissive tone this time. "All MoonClan followers are loyal to our Goddess. They would never forsake her for your capricious god." She wasn't stupid, however, and shut up after that, wondering if saying that much had earned her a painful punishment. She followed behind Littlestar, ignoring the others in the patrol flanking her on all sides. There was no escape. The best she could hope for was tricking Littlestar into believing she surrendered, and slip away in the night once they trusted her.

"Believe it or not, it matters little" now that she was in their grasp, there was little that she could say or do that would make a difference now "Perhaps I'll send them to you to set you on the path they have choose to walk" she glanced over at the other cats that were on the patrol with her "I need to return to camp. Take her to the ceremony springs, several of the janus will be they and can accompany her to our prison" ~Time skip?
