Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Stridesplash wrapped his tail protectively around Meadow, pulling her close and leading her towards the initiate den despite the stares of his clan-mates. She had just been introduced to the clan as an initiate, and rumors were already starting to spread. Cats sat off to the side whispering to one another looking in their direction. After all it wasn't every day that the leader of your biggest enemy gave up everything to join you.
Once inside the initiate den, he finally released her. It was on the far side of camp, but all initiates had to stay here away from the clan's warriors. There wasn't a nest waiting on her, especially after she had surprised him in such a way, but there was some extra nests. They were just not as comfortable and Stridesplash would have liked "I promise, I will make you a better nest than this" he motioned towards where she could rest for now.
Meadow paid little to no attention to the whispering cats. She could feel their gaze burning holes into her pelt but she shook it off like water off a duck's back. She found it sweet that Stridesplash felt so worried for her, she was careful not to dismiss his fears so quickly, she had heard stories from him about initiates that didn't pass but, to her it didn't feel like a death sentence. This was a time of new beginnings, a chance to start over without the suffocating weight of responsibility of leading a clan looming over her, her whole life.
The last thing she'd expected when entering the den was to be hit by an all too familiar scent. Her eyes widened at the smell but she thought better than to address it. How could she leave her old self behind when part of it had beat her here? She hook her head quickly, following her mate's gaze to the empty nests near by. "I'm sure this will be fine for now" she assured him, turning to rasp her tongue over his cheek.

The Pessimist
Stridesplash felt her tense, perhaps it was because of the state of the initate den. He knew it must be a far cry from the leader's den in moonclan, so licked her cheek in reassurance. "Yes but you deserve a lot more than this. Are you hungry? Can I get you anything? Go ahead and sit, you have had a long day. Let me take care of you for a little while" he knew that she was more than capable of doing all this on her own, but he hand't had the chance to care for her and she was carrying his kits. If there was anything that he could do to make her more comfortable he would.
She blinked gratefully at him, stifling her purr of amusement as she obediently sat down. She listened as he rattled off questions not giving her a chance to actually answer. Though his questions did stir up one of her own. "What kind of prey comes out during the day?" She asked, tilting her head. Yes, she had been going out during the day to see him but she had never considered stopping to hunt.

Stridesplash blinked, not expecting that question but it made him stop rambling as the den filled with laughter "Well probably a lot of the same things that you hunt at night. Rabbits, mice, birds" it seemed kind of silly, but she had a point. He wouldn't really know anything about the animals that came out at night either.
"I think the birds you catch during the day are different though right? I guess you also wouldn't have to worry too much about fighting owls for your prey" she mused allowed, more to herself than him directly. "I'll have whatever your preference is."
