Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The rain was pattering softly around her, sparkling off the bits of green that were beginning to show up here and there. The cadence of new-leaf was beginning, a few of the songbirds were starting to return as the weather warmed and days grew longer. Cottontwist missed the cool, crisp smells of the fall and winter. The flowers and pollen did not agree with her nose this time of the year, sending her into a sneezing fit every time the wind blew her way.
Flicking a drop of water from her ear, the small golden-brown tabby dropped into a crouch, her jaws parted as she searched for scents in the wet undergrowth. There was the faint scent of mouse, but it was hard to tell in which direction it was coming from. Her fluffy white stump of a tail looked like a rabbits, erected and bobbing as she moved.
Icefrost picked up the scent of a mouse he had lost track because of the rain. Spotting the mouse, he gave chase. Small puddles splashed up around him as he sprinted through the forest, turning his normally white pelt to a muddy mess. His eyes followed the mouse as it took him around trees and through brush trying to find a safe haven. As he was running past a tree something white out of the corner of his eyes caught his attention but only briefly.
What was that?
Just as the mouse was about to dip down into a small hole, Icefrost managed to grab it and kill with a quick nip to the neck. His lungs burned from the pursuit. Setting the catch down, he caught his breath, the image of the white object he saw earlier popping into his head.

"Well there goes my kill," Cottontwist huffed with a toss of her head. Cracking a small smile out of the corner of her mouth, she trotted her way over to her clanmate. "Nice chase!" she grinned, ears perked and alert. "I couldn't smell it through all the wetness. Seems like everything is coming back out now that the weather is warming up."
He jumped, slightly startled by the sound of her voice. "Oh, hey, thanks," he said with a slight chuckle. "So that was you I saw back there, huh." He looked down at the prey and then back to her, shaking his head quickly as he broke out of his trance. "This wasn't yours, was it?"
"Doesn't matter, you caught it," she said with a wry grin, her eyes glittering. "The Clan needs to be fed and that's all that matters." Blinking water from her eyes, she muttered a curse under her breath as the rain came down harder. "Though it'll be more fishing than hunting out here soon."
