Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Toadstream crawled sluggishly out of the warrior's den. He was still rather drowsy from the restless sleep the night before but he knew once he got moving, he would begin to feel more awake. It was a rather warm morning compared to the harsh leaf-bare that the Fallclan cats had to get through. It was clear skies and a sunny day. The camp was bustling with life and the forest exploded with bird song. It was clear that spring was not far away but the tortoiseshell tom hardly noticed. His mind was still on Loststar and Mousekit. He had looked tirelessly for his missing mate and kit but had been disappointed time and time again. He could only assume, now, that they had either died or found a new life. He dragged his paws over to the fresh-kill pile. It was, unfortunately, quite low. With a disappointing sigh, he decided to go out for a hunt. Perhaps that would clear his mind.

Meadowlark, unlike many of her other clanmates, loved being an early riser and had been awake for some time when Toadstream emerged from the warrior's den. The exuberant she-cat caught sight of the newly awakened warrior and waved her tail at him, her mouth currently full of vole from her earlier hunt. "Good morning, Toadstream!" she purred after sitting the prey down at his paws, "Good to see you finally awake. I was just on my way to give this to whoever was still asleep, but it looks like you can take it yourself now. Why don't we have a bite and head out for the morning patrol? I think Calamitystar was hoping for some of us warriors to go try and find some birds so we can use their feathers for nests. You up for it?"
"Huh?" He lifted his head as Meadowlark called his name, having to halt abruptly before he bumped into her. "Oh, hello, Meadowlark." He listened to her offer before nodding. "I was just heading out for hunt, myself. I suppose some company wouldn't hurt. Besides, that vole looks delicious." He didn't realize how hungry he was until the look of the vole made his mouth water and his belly rumble. He must have skipped dinner last night.

The she-cat gave him a lopsided grin before dropping the vole at his paws, curling her tail around her paws. She'd already eaten before going out to hunt and had no appetite, but was more than happy to visit with her clanmate while he ate. "I know we're supposed to prefer leaf-fall over all the other seasons, but new-leaf is my favorite, I think. I'm so excited for the trees to bud again and for prey to be a little more plentiful. I think Calamitystar is too, and that's why we're cleaning out dens and rebuilding nests."
He took a hungrily bite out of the vole, enjoying the flavor of the forest in his meal. "Thank you for this" he mumbled with a mouthful of meat. "I like green-leaf the most. It's so warm and sunny. Even the water is warm but I'm an odd ball. I'm originally from Earthclan." He swallowed his first bite, feeling content.

"Ah, I see," mewed Meadowlark with a curious look. She didn't often have a chance to talk to cats from other clans, and though they had gatherings every full moon she tended to stick closer to her FallClan family. "I'm sure you've gotten this question a million times, but do you miss it? I could never imagine leaving FallClan behind for a new, scary place."
He didn't go for a second bite, yet. The she-cat words sank in. Yes, he did get those questions asked frequently but he tried not to think about it. "A part of me will always miss Earthclan but it's gone, now. Theres nothing more we can do. So many of us died, I dont even think we could rebuild it. I lost my mother and one of my sisters in the flood." He admitted with a frown. "I was separated from my other sister and my father but I eventually reunited with them. My sister had moved to Dayclan and my father found refuge in Summerclan. I miss them both but they are happy where they are."
