Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
racerJadie Welcome to the impromptu SG rants to his High Priestess and the Priest Promised thread. xD )
Was it normal for a deity to sit and complain to the cat they put as the leadership of the clan they were worshiped by? Well, no, probably not. But what was the point in designating cats to lead a clan according to your will, if you couldn't just unload all your otherworldly problems on them? Like come on, even deities needed outlets.
So, here Littlstar and Bloodyrondo were, essentially trapped in their den in the gorge, forced to sit there and listen to the Sun God ramble. "Like, I gave them Wanheda's power! Of course, yes, yes, it's split between them, and that doesn't compare to mine. But still, it was enough to make them goddesses. GODDESSES! Like come on. The least they could do is actually listen to my orders. Really, they only started an apocalyptic event in the clan a few months back. I figured they already had experience with power, and what I could do! They should have known better than to try and make themselves the deities of DayClan. I told them I wanted those skies, I gave them superpowers, and this is how they thank me? How ungrateful can you be!"
The two didn't really get much of a chance to comment before, but now, the glowing divine paused to look at them with a look that he seemed to think their replies would be along the lines of 'Right!? How dare they!' Which would only help to stroke his ego and further cement the idea in his head that he should be absolved of responsibility for actually giving them these powers.
Well, if you were going to give a cat superpowers to take over DayClan, why didn't you pick me? That was of course what Bloodyrondo was thinking. He would never say this up front but it was irresponsible to give that sort of responsibility to a couple of rogues. He should have picked one of his chosen in SunClan. Any one of them would have been better. Bloodyrondo would have been the best choice, of course. Instead, he bit back his tongue and listened. He hated himself for doubting the Sun God for even a second. The ginger tom's body language was very submissive, almost as if he was admitting guilt, especially since he was pretty sure the Sun God could read minds if he so desired. Hopefully now was not one of those times. Maybe this was a test or something. Yes, why hadn't he thought of that before? StarClan had the power to prophesize, so the Sun God had to have seen this coming.
"They are extremely ungrateful, I cannot fathom why anyone would deviate from your laws and commands!" Bloodyrondo agreed, and not just because he was a kiss up to his deity. Truly, if a God gives you powers and a mission, he did not understand why anyone would deviate from that. Especially when that God was as powerful and renowned as his was, "You do so much for your chosen. I can't believe that they would turn on you like this. I am sure they will come around given time... or with some help from SunClan, as you see fit."

[attr="class","box2"]Littlestar continued sorting her herbs as the Sun God droned on with his complaints about the two cats he had seen fit to bless with deity powers. I mean what did he think was going to happen? He had given two cats with very messed up childhoods deity powers. It would been similar result to her having thrust someone like.. singedwolf... into power unexpectedly. It was undoubtly going to end badly. As much as she loved the old tom, her wasn't suited to power, far to inclined for violence and bloodshed.
It was only at Bloodyrondo's voice that she flicked one ear backwards, there he went again stroking the Sun God's ego. She was one of his most faithful followers, obeying all of his commands... even the bad ones... But Bloodyrondo took it to a whole new level. Sometimes even the sun god needed a good cuff on the ear and some sound advice on things deities often over looked
"Their actions are really not all the surprising" she shrugged placing the last of the leafs into place, her golden gaze landing on the Sun God at last "The is a difference between discipline and punishment, and neither Bluejay nor Pandora have had any discipline. They are acting just as any other spoiled kits when given a command"
That Promised really had better learn how to think quieter. These caverns really echoed thoughts, it seemed, and they were nearly as loud as the words he spoke in the first place. Even still, he couldn't help but offer a bit of a comment. "Don't worry, Crimsy. You have your purpose here." He stated passively, as though he were trying to pacify a wayward kit, before turning his focus on Littlestar.
"So, you have experience disciplining your own spoiled brats, Priestess?" He asked, his tone far too innocent and naive for the insult he'd casually cast her way. The again, he also assumed she knew from experience, and therefore assumed it was from her own kits, that maybe he really was just that much of an idiot to insult kits to their mother's face. "Maybe help out Strikey, then? She's flailing hard, and could use a professional hellion wrangler like you."
[attr="class","box2"]Littlestar could barely believe her ears. Had he really just said that? Silence fell over their den, at least to ears that could only hear the spoken word. For the Sun God who could read thoughts, the shift in mood from Littlestar was sudden and dramatic, like a storm blowing in over the mountains with thunder booming in the distance and lightning lighting up the darkness. He had both insulted her children, and asked for help within the same breath
"So once again you are sending ME to clean up YOUR mess" her words became clipped, drawing out the vowels in a way that she hadn't since she was was a mere kit. The unmistakable WinterClan accent of her ancestors emerging thicker and thicker with each word she spoke. The sudden stresses in her sentence frightening loud and commanding, though her face remained as still as the surface of a lake, taking a step towards the Sun God... golden eyes flames seemingly dancing within
"It was your idea to give Bluejay and Pandora deity powers, an idea you know full and well that was bound to fail. Its not the first time you have made this mistake, and yet for some reason you expected different results"
"You created this mess, and you WILL clean it up on your own" she answered his question with her own command. Silence fell over the den once more, Littlestar unflinching even facing down the very cat she worshiped
"Err, don't think that's how this works?" The Sun God tilted his head, blinking slowly with wide eyes. "I'm the deity here, right? That's right, Crimsy? No, no, no, what am I saying, of course that's right. I'm the god here, I don't take orders." It was a strange thing, to be seeing a god have to actually confirm his authority to himself, all the while looking both quite confused, and maybe a bit irritated, if the sudden, almost choking, warmth of the den was anything to go by. Of course, it was also feeling a bit chilly in here, and maybe that had something to do with the ex-WinterClan cat turned High Priestess' and her really confusing accent.
"I didn't give you a choice, did I?" He asked again, poking the ground as his face scrunched up in apparent thought. The Sun God, strangely, looked almost like a kit himself, when it got scolded. "You... you're going to talk to Strikey for me, right, my Tiny Bird?" It was apparently incomprehensible that Littlestar had just yelled at him. For all intents and purposes, it looked like his divine brain had short circuited temporarily, such that he wasn't really mad, but more confused, and shocked, and maybe a bit sad, all things considered.
"Yes of course, Sun God, you are our honorable deity." Bloodyrondo had been surprisingly quiet as he observed this exchange. He really felt like he was being torn in two. First he had Littlestar, his High Priestess, who was wise beyond his understanding, rightfully enraged ... and he even sort of kind of agreed with her. Then he had the Sun God, his deity, the one he prayed to day in and day out, whose word was law. Well, technically, both cats' word was law but one obviously outweighed the other. Their deity was asking for a favor as which was, at least in Bloody's books, as good as a commandment. He wanted to please the Sun God while also staying on Littlestar's good side. If only the Sun God hadn't called out the High Priestess's parenting skills, that was as good as loading the gun and putting her finger on the trigger...
"The heathens in DayClan need to be brought under the Sun God's faith. Pandora and Bluejay can't be so tough if they have mortal bodies. Besides, Littlestar, the Sun God believes you may be able to resolve all of this through negotiations. No blood needs shed even though they surely deserve it. The Sun God is being merciful! You must reconsider your stance on this," While the Priest Promised's voice had been friendly, he still had a slightly complaintive ton while addressing his leader, which he dropped entirely when he bowed his head and returned his attention to the Sun God, "I will always fulfill your commands, Sun God. If you need me to do this I will, even if it means doing it alone."
[attr="class","box2"]Littlestar normally would have dropped it there, but Bloodyrondos words only seemed to ad fuel to the fire "He doesn't think I can solve it, he KNOWS I can solve it. Just like every other mess he has caused. Bloodyrondo you best watch your tone and think over your words before speaking them. Knowing when to hold your tongue is just as important as knowing how to use it" she warned her promised, her gaze breaking from the Sun God only long enough for it to settle on Bloodyrondo before snapping back to the Sun God.
"If you wanted my help, throwing out insults isn't how to achieve that. I should just leave Bluejay and Pandora to their own devices, until you take responsability for your creations" a small growl rumbled in her throat, the slight twitch of the end of her tail the only physical sign of her utter rage that was still bubbling up like lava ready to burst forth from a volcano in a violent erruption
"However, Glowstar and the rest of DayClan doesn't deserve to suffer because of your mistake so I will speak with Strik For her benefit, not yours." not to mention that should things go badly in DayClan it would surly bleed over into SunClan eventually [newclass=.box2]margin:0px auto; width:300px; height:425px; background: transparent; overflow:auto; padding:8px;[/newclass] [newclass=.box2::-webkit-scrollbar]width:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.box2::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background: #772929;[/newclass]
Bloodyrondo held his tongue and didn't say a word to Littlestar. He turned his eyes to the Sun God to see how he would react so that next time Littlestar treated him like this he would have an idea how how to deal with it. His strongest thought was projected loud and clear directly to his deity: Can you believe she's talking to me... to you... like this!? What are you gonna do about it?
