Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. A mentor. She was a mentor. Largelight had nearly fainted when Ratstar called out her name, though the real panic had set in the next day, when she had told her new apprentice - her apprentice! - that they would begin training. Even as the slightly plump she-cat waddled her way across the clearing, hopping gently over the stream, her mind was racing with internal anxiety. How in Starclan's name was she supposed to teach a kit how to do things that she barely knew how to do herself? For goodness sake, she couldn't even leave camp without getting lost! Her train of thought was suddenly interrupted as one of her paws stepped in a particularly slippery patch of mud, sending the former kittypet sprawling across the wet grass.
"Oof! Owwww..." Groaning, Largelight glanced up, her face suddenly flushing in embarrassment when she saw her apprentice, Cherrypaw, staring worried down at her. "Uh...h-hi! I'm your new mentor!"

Cherrypaw had been happy enough at first to knew she'd be assigned a mentor, she was eager to finally complete her training and become a warrior. But she also knew little about Largelight. The she-cat had hoped, secretly, to be assigned to Seasparkleflash but Largelight was to be her mentor. Luckily, her disappointment had ebbed quickly into excitement. The small apprentice had noticed Largelight just in time to see her slip. Cherrypaw bounded over, looking down at her worriedly, "are you okay?! Do I need to fetch Graythorn?!"
