Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Funkson was a Janus. They were also the age of a kitten, and probably the most annoying creature on the planet. The little bengal was an identical copy of their father, Funk E'tan of the League, though in their own word, they were far, far, most attractive. Oh, yeah, and their mother was the previous Priestess, Foxbane, and half sibling to Moonlitnocture and Bloodyrondo, guess that's probably relevant too, one could suppose
This was one of those days they were in camp, causing a nuisance as per usual. After all, they did need accomplices on occasion, and today was one such event. Now, who to pick? The slim young cat scanned the gorge with celadon eyes that held an addicting allure, promising to destroy everything one knew, and then leave them in the dust at will. No one had ever called them a good cat, to be sure.
I'm sorry if I get SunClan lore and stuff wrong cx I'm still learning so plz correct me if I'm wrong!
Sanguinerose was kind... for a SunClan cat. She had a reputation for being patient and gentle and overall very motherly, even to those who might prefer otherwise. The crimson and cream she-cat was lounging just outside of the nursery when she caught sight of their youngest Janus prowling around and looking very much like they were up to no good. Standing up with only a little difficulty - as she was only a few moons pregnant - the queen dipped her head respectfully to the young knowledge seeker.
What to an outsider might seem absurd - what kind of queen bows to a kit?! - it made perfect sense in the she-cat's eyes. The little one was in a position of power so much further above her, having been gifted by the Sun God and the High Priestess herself the right to carry on their traditions and histories forward to the next generation. "Good morning, Funkson," she mewed respectfully, lifting her head and taking a seat in a warm patch of sunlight. "What are you up to today?"
Was the bow necessary? No, absolutely not. Did Funkson still think it was amazing? Absolutely! The Janus, to SunClan, were a mysterious sort, living underneath Ceremony Springs in a camp that cats could not explore, except for the entry room itself, which wasn't all too interesting, when compared with the mystery that was the rest of their home. Rarely were they seen by the cats of SunClan, at least, rarely in comparison to others, due to not living in the gorge. They were commanded by the Soothsayer, and were the only cats in the clan who could deny an order from Littlestar, as the Priestess was required to go through Autumngossamer first. The Soothsayer couldn't refuse a direct order by the Priestess, of course, but it did give the Janus more freedom, given that all orders had to pass through the Soothsayer first.
Funkson, for their part, was far more interested in the knowledge seeking and herb aspects of the rank. Cultivating the herbs and then testing on cats. Well, it was less testing, and more torture, so their victims would probably describe, but that was besides the point. "Why don't you come and see?" The bengal asked, flashing the sort of grin that suggested Sanguinerose had just made a mistake by even acknowledging them.

"I-I'm not sure if that's appropriate," she began, shaking her head. Though they were a Janus, they were also kitten-aged and as much respect as they commanded, Sanguinerose was hesitant to do something she knew might get her into trouble. She'd already gotten in trouble for missing the morning prayers a few times thanks to her overly rowdy kits knocking around all morning and making her nauseous, she didn't think another mark on her record would bode too well with the High Priestess.
Seeing his eagerness, however, her soft heart was loathe to tell him no. "I suppose, as long as we stay near camp and don't go anywhere I don't belong. Promise?"
