Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(@samiam I thought Leviathan and Visigoth needed a thread together.)
The split faced tom lounged in the corner of camp, his eyes just bare open with his ears flickering at any sound. He still felt rather new and somewhat uncertain about these clan cats. Though they did worship the Moon Goddess and followed a code, they just seemed strange. Visi was trying, or at least trying to look like he was trying to integrate into the clan. He rarely stayed long enough in a group, more of muscle for hire than someone seeking a home. It was only due to Levee that he stayed her, that tom had introduced him to his beloved Goddess.
His amber eyes surveyed the camp, coming to a halt only when he spotted his Archbishop crouching in a corner by himself, staring out at their followers like they were a pile of crow-food left out simply to annoy him. With a small frown Levee padded over to the gray and black tom and sat up straight next to him, resting his fluffy tail over his paws.
"You look a bit bothered, but I can assure you they aren't that bad" he snickered, not bothering to look directly at the tom when he spoke. He kept his voice low enough so that thouse passing by couldn't hear them.
"They are just so nice." He sat up, speaking like he was confused. Visi was used to groups working together only to gain something, here it was simply because. Also family was just a strange concept as well. He had been raised to fend for himself, relying on others was taking some work getting used too. Levee at least had his sister, so he was used to somewhat constant companionship. "There are, like, no alterer motives. Also, the kits are just, I don't know, strange." He had been approached earlier by a kit and had nearly runoff. They were just so small and unnerving.
"That's exactly what Selene expects of us, She unites us together but It is all of us who must work together to keep that bond. We are all one and the same and must all care for our own" he purred gesturing around the camp with his tail. "It's just like how we cared for each other on our journey here, the only difference is now our group is a clan. The kits perhaps are the most important of them all, They are the future of us all and will pass on Selene's teaching to the next generation."
"Yes, I suppose I will adjust. I must adjust, I would hate to disappoint the Goddess." He was trying to make friends and considering he had not irritated anyone it was going great. Visi was honestly surprised sometimes at the kindness that Levee put out, he was so different yet they joined together in a common goal. He needed to learn to be softer and that kindness did not equate weakness. An offering to the Goddess might offer some guidance. Or he could speak to the elders, they understood the clan system.
Levee turned to look at Visi when he spoke this time, his interest peaked by the tone in his voice. "Perhaps, you should let me worry about keeping our goddess content" he offered gently. "You're allowed to live freely without fear. So long as you follow her rules you have nothing to fear. Try to reach out and get to know our new family. They may seem like strangers now but they won't soon enough. They may even help teach you a few things about yourself."
“In that case I suppose I should start with the elders, they should be able to help.” Visi mused it over. He actually almost liked the elders, they seem so grumpy. Their constant complaints amused him plus some of them scared the kits away. Some of the other warriors could also help but he did not want to pull them away from their duties. They were rather good about providing which did impress him.
Levee nodded in approval. "Ah yes, sometimes when we aren't certain, the best course of action is to seek the wisdom of the council." The elders made up the council which, should he ever need them in times of stress and hardship Leviathan would seek out their guidance first. "Perhaps in the next moon I'll assign you your own student, That might also help you adjust." His amber eyes swept over the camp illuminated by the moon light. He had a lot to teach these cats, and in turn he had a lot to learn from them. Something he hoped his Deputy would be able to see for himself soon enough.
