Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Figured we could have a bonding thread. One that can be used to help better understand the new dynamics of WinterClan and promote the transition PhantomneverstarstarJetclawConsuelaSpot )
Wintrystar had called together the Knights and the Blessed to discuss clan matters. It was mostly to make sure everyone was on the same page but to also begin assigning teams for the Knights to oversee. Their first festival would begin soon and thus they need to be ready for it.
With prey pulled aside for their lunch, she awaited for the others to show for their meeting. Hopefully, they could all come to the agreement quickly and not spend long on this. But there was much to discuss. Teams, religion, cleanups, prisoners, the regime, and so much more.
Stormyblizzard padded slowly up to Wintrystar, a smile although small still visible on her lips. "Good morning, Wintystar. Am I the first to arrive?" She was a little early, but she had thought at least one or two of the others would have been here already.
"It would appear so." She really hadn't expected anything less. The other times she'd called a meeting, the Heir had been the first to arrive. Then would come her Knights then her Witch and Pupil. Sometimes the order would switch and the Knights would be the last to arrive, but Stormyblizzard was always first to everything.
Frostcloud was second to arrive but was the first knight at the meeting. Her orbs of blue fire looked from Wintrystar to Stormyblizzard and back again before she moved forth with confident grace and took a seat before her leader. She dipped her head politely to both the leader and the heir in greeting, "Wintrystar, Stormblizzard."
Stormyblizzard nodded to the leader when her eyes were drawn to the approaching figure of Frostcloud, she gave the knight a welcoming smile. "Hello, Frostcloud, how has your morning been?"
Winyrystar eyed the both of them. Only four more to wait upon and they could begin. Motioning to the prey, she spoke up, "please, take a piece. No point in allowing ourselves to go hungry as we wait." Food first, then down to business.
Frostcloud dipped her head once more before choosing a scrawny squirrel as her meal. She settled and began to feast. She couldnt remember when her last meal had been.
Wintrystar would await for all the others before taking her own prey to eat. They were still missing two fo their Knights, the Witch, and her Pupil. Hopefully, they wouldn't be long now.
LIONWHISPER The large, ginger tom entered next, his intimating features softened as he offered a polite smile to those who stood around in the den. "Wintrystar," He started, bowing his head deeply before turning to Stormyblizzard offering her a similar head bow "Stormyblizzard." He meowed deeply. His gaze then found Frostcloud, noting that she had already began to eat. "Hello again Frostcloud." The greeting seemed odd as he often found himself working along side the she-cat recently. "I hope everyone has been well." He stated hopefully. With the harshness of Leafbare, Lionwhisper had been working overtime in attempt to bring in more fresh kill. He really only camp back to camp to sleep before he was out again. This had been the first time in so long since the tom had the opportunity to sit down with the Blessed and the other Knights.
CHESNUTPAW A abnormally small speckled tortoiseshell cat made her way excitingly into the den, looking up at the ginger Knight who stood just by the entrance of the den. Chestnutpaw was much too small for her zie, but next to the giant of a Knight, she felt like a flea. Despite the intimidating position, the young pupil offered a bright smile up at the knight, before taking a moment to smile at the rest of the cats. "Hello everyone," The pupil squeaked, revealing the nerves she felt inwardly. This was her first meeting with everyone and though there was no hint of concern in the room, Chestnutpaw was still nervous and fearful of what was to come from the meeting. "Earlybloom said she is wrapping up on some project she started." The pupil spoke up, her pale green orbs looking up at Wintrystar. "She said she will be here shortly." The sounds of Frostcloud eating got her attention and she turned over to see a small pile of fresh kill. Her stomach gurgled with hunger and she winced, laughing slightly with embarrassment "May I get something to eat?"
Frostcloud met Lionwhisper's gaze with her own jagged ice stare. She and Lionwhisper had been working along side each other lately but she always felt the tom was full of himself. Like all of this majestic attitude was just an act to get more cats to respect him. It disgusted her, really. He probably thinks hes better than the rest just because he's the great knight of 'wisdom'. Her thoughts were interrupted by Chestnutpaw's entry and turned her cold gaze on the apprentice. "Yeah, eat up" she mewed, taking another bite of her squirrel.
At the Knight's words, Chestnutpaw bounded up to the pile cheerfully, picking out mouse for herself. She offered the leader a quick nod of respect before scurrying off to the side, plopping down with excitement as she began to tear through the mouse with ravenous energy. So far, this meeting was starting off well! The concerns melted away as the sweet taste of meet quenched her hunger.
Wintrystar nodded to the pupil. Her eyes glanced around the den and found only Earlybloom missing, satisfied with that she took her own bite of prey. "We'll begin once Earlybloom arrives, but I'll go ahead and tell you what all we'll be discussing."
"First, we need to begin looking for a Knight of the Guards. It is the only position that needs to be filled. If anyone has any recommendations, please present them. From there the festival will need to be planned and teams assigned to each of you." It didn't seem like much but there was a lot more to planning the first festival of their new lives than could be imagined.
Stormyblizzard welcomed the pupil with a smile and a nod before the young she-cat moved to get her meal, the Heir refrained from eating though, her mind buzzing with everything that needed to be done. "I may have a candidate or two in mind for Knight of the Guards, also, did you have a plan for how the teams will be split?" She asked looking at Wintrystar.
"Who might they be?" She hadn't thought much, but personally, she thought about dividing the clan by every other cat. Though, she wasn't sure how that would work. Make everyone lineup and then divide them? "I would also like to hear your thoughts on the teams. Everyone's thoughts a=on both that and the Knight choices,"
Frostcloud didn't have anyone in mind but she did feel that perhaps she would have been better as the Knight of the Guards. Even if she wanted to be knight of the guards, they would still need to find a third knight. "What is the team idea, exactly?" Frostcloud asked, lifting her head from her meal.
"Line them up and divide them?" It sounded like she was joking but really, was she? Wintrystar wasn't sure how to go about this. It was their first festival ever and she had no idea what she was doing.
Lionwhisper listened on quietly, his mind wandering through as different concerns arose. For the idea of a candidate for a new Knight, Lionwhipser's mind wandered to various cats. He could easily named many soldiers who would fit the position well, having proved over time their dedication to the clan, especially in trying times like leaf-bare, but no one in particular stood out.
"I believe the best method of approaching the selection for a new Knight is to first consider the traits we are looking for in a cat to fill that position." He finally spoke, looked out at Wintrystar "I believe it would be difficult to assess those who are capable individually because we do have many strong candidates. Approaching the selection knowing the qualities and traits will help us focus on what we truly need from the new knight.
"As for the team selection, I think assessing strengths of members would be the best policy; ensure that both teams have an near equal amount of various skills and strengths." He turned to face Frostcloud "I trust that Frostcloud and I will be able to pinpoint those strengths easily. With Frostcloud's calculated observance and the oversight of the ins and outs of our patrols, I believe we can evenly determine the best way to even out the teams." He turned back to the Sovereign, watching for her reaction to his suggestions which was left open ended with the intent to shown some respect. He knew it was wise not to step on anyone's toes, especially the Sovereign herself.
Let's try this again! neverstarstarPhantomConsuelaFaithSpot Let's talk about territory and moving of camp and the religion and up coming festival that happens in June for the Summer Sostice
It was that time again. A meeting between the Blessed and the Knights in order to better manage their clan. This time was the discussion of a move of camp to a better location.
