Calamitystar had stayed up all night again. He teetered groggily through the territory as he attempted to hunt. However, each step he took seemed to scare away another piece of potential prey. "Oops, sorry." He meowed sleepily to a nearby squirrel that he startled as a twig snapped between his paws. The squirrel simply stared at him, half shocked and half confused...Looking closely you could maybe see it shaking it's head in pity then continued with it's nut gathering. If anyone else was out there was no doubt he would probably stumble into them or disturb their own hunt.
Hazelpaw crept beneath the brambles, her eyes focused on the squirrel that was clearly focused elsewhere. She paused, ready to leap, when she heard a twig snap. Her head shot up, and she glanced back at the squirrel, surprised to see its head shaking in disappointment. Too bewildered to continue her hunt, and silently feeling it was wrong to kill an animal that just showed some sort of consciousness, she heaved herself out of the brambles to find herself face to face with her leader.
“Calamitystar, are you okay?” She asked, trying to hold back a laugh. She was half concerned, though, at how tired he looked.

"Oh HAZELPAW, it's so good to see you." Calamitystar greeted the apprentice groggily with a half-efforted smile. He slowly trudged towards the she-cat and plopped one heavy paw on her head. "How's the hunting going? You know, I think I just saw a squirrel somewhere... where was it again?"
"It's... it's right there," Hazelpaw lifted a paw and pointed at the squirrel that was still staring at Calamitystar as if it were in a dream. The young apprentice struggled under the weight of the leader's paw as it pressed down heavily from his tired state. "Did you sleep last night?" She asked, then half wondered if perhaps the tom had gotten into something poisonous.

"Oh yeah. Maybe it's best if I don't catch it." Cal responded with an awkward chuckle and smile. "But you, you could probably get it, huh? Wow, how wonderful it must be to still be young." The leader really wasn't that old... In fact, he was pretty young for a leader.... It's fine. "What was that? Did I sleep? Ah, no not really. I went...out...for a while and I guess lost track of time." He answered, blinking a few times thoughtfully. Where did he go last night? He had a tendency to get lost in thought and wander around for hours. Then again, he also had a tendency to sleep walk. Who knows what he was doing honestly.
