Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Foxbane nodded slowly, ears twitching as she gave a smile to the new initiate that was probably less reassuring than it ought to be. "I'd talk to Mapleheart, if I were you, when you have the chance." She stated. Littlestar would understand. After all, the tom was formerly of MoonClan as well... If anyone was able to reassure Oakstorm, perhaps it would be him. The Senator didn't get the chance to say more, because Tinypaw bolted out from her tail and back out of camp.
With a parting flick of her tail, she left Oakstorm alone in camp with the Priestess, and the entirety of SunClan, to fend for himself as he was thrust into this initiation thing. She had to go check on her daughter. So she spun and raced out in a sprint, taking the corners at a skid as she followed Tinypaw's scent out of the tunnels, and went after her. Had she made the right choice? Probably. If he were lesser, she likely would have just murdered him on the spot, and the fact that she chose to push him into initiation instead was rather merciful for her usual self. Not that it would be so easy to convince her child of that fact.
"Now, that* is up for debate..." Oakstorm was dragging his feet on this one. There was no way he would be able to cut ties with his birth Clan. He was Pureblood and had family there that he had in fact planned to share tongues with this very afternoon. His expression hardened, marked by a sharp intake of breath, and he defiantly met Littlestar's eyes. They held fire she probably did not think he had given how agreeable he had been so far. For as mellow a tom as he was, asking him to abandon his family and friends had struck a cord for him. Oakstorm never abandoned anyone he loved and never would.
He did not reply for some time, only breaking his eye contact with SunClan's leader when he saw Tinypaw move in his peripheral vision.
He turned his head towards her as she took off, a pained expression on his face, and released the breath he had accidentally been holding. The tom shifted where his paws were placed and fought the urge to give chase. He did not want her to be alone right now and was relieved to see Foxbane follow after her. He didn't trust the auburn she-cat much but he was confident she'd catch up with her, given, well, his current predicament. Honestly, he didn't know exactly why she was so worked up. The silver lining to all of this was that Oakstorm would be in SunClan now, able to be with her every day, free to even be mates if he passed this culty Initiation processes. He thought she'd be a little happier about it. Was he missing something here? He turned his hazel eyes back to Littlestar and remembered that she was waiting for a reply from him. No, he would not renounce MoonClan, "... but I'll go by Roble, I guess."
Roble was just another way to say Oak. It also meant bravery, depending on how you spelled it, not that the brown-and-white tom knew that. Regardless, he wasn't really giving up his name, which meant that he was not really severing his ties with MoonClan. He stood there for a few minutes and then looked back toward where Tinypaw had disappeared, "So, uh, what next? Do I need to prick my paw and mix my blood with yours, or am I free to tour my new home?" There it was, a hint of a flame again, but his tone was friendly and not sarcastic, "And Foxbane mentioned Mapleheart... who is that?"

Littlestar nodded "Then from this day until your initiation you shall be known as Roble. Spend your time here wisely, seek out the senators and Janus. They shall help guide you on the right path, and teach the lessons you will need to know in order to pass initiation. As you learn, you shall also serve. You will be given duties to complete, and must follow the orders of every true SunClan member not matter what they as of you"
She paused letting the words she spoke sink in "Mapleheart was once part of MoonClan, but has since proven themselves to be worthy of joining our clan. Go, speak with them. Let them tell you their story, and show you around. For now they will give you the basics run down of our rules and expectations, she glanced at one of the warriors who went to go fetch Mapleheart
Senators... Janus... Ya know, in MoonClan there had been some training on other Clan's traditions, but he didn't care then and also didn't really care now. It was beyond his control at this point but it did put him at a disadvantage. He could manage, but he did not like that last bit of her statement about following the orders of every true SunClan member no matter what. That seemed like something easily abused. To be honest, though, Roble probably would have done that on his own anyway. He was not a leader and would rather just do what he was told then fight about it. Depending on the direction, of course.
"Thanks, I guess." He bowed his head once more to Littlestar then rose to his full height, hazel eyes scanning the assembled crowd for this so-called MoonClan expatriate called Mapleheart. He had never heard that name before but it sounded MoonClan - after all, the suffix of that name was the same as his sister's. It was strange, though, since SunClan typically made their newest members give up their previous names. Roble contained his questions for now. He would have the chance to ask them from the source soon enough.
