Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Autumngossamer had been like a shining diamond, she showed promise, was a rarity, and above all unbreakable. Since becoming a mom she had been anything, but that. When Honeysplash offered the litter to her and Lovesmitten she had been beyond excited for the chance to raise and adore a litter of her own. But since adopting Honeysplash's litter Autumngossamer had felt more depressed than she ever felt in her entire life. Her unbreakable exterior had been damaged by her own anxieties and doubts in herself. She felt guilty about the faintest thing, worried that she wasn't giving them the attention they needed, worried she didn't love them enough. She didn't have a mom to know how much a mother loved their kits, to know if she was tending to their needs the way a mother should. Every little thing sent her into a wave of panic and it wasn't that long ago that she had slept for two days straight, the depression taking over, but it was on the third day that she had pulled herself together and started acting like a mom. Believing that if she kept moving forward the dark doubts in her mind wouldn't be able to catch up with her.
Lately she had been spending one on one time with each of her kits and now it was Olivekit's turn.
"Olivekit, darling, I brought you some mouse and stripped the meat into pieces for you the way you like it. They're on the big rune stone." Autumngossamer said when Olivekit had awoke from his nest. Their den was incredibly unique, there was a large rune stone with deep ridges inside of the stone. Hanging from the ceiling were long branches wedged into the tunnel den structure, various plants leaned across the branches. In the back of the den were small clay pens that kept in living prey animals that his mother killed for certain ritual uses for the clan.
In the background Autumngossamer was neatly arranging some bones on a slab of stone, "I was thinking today we could go and visit another clan together, would you be interested? You would be like a real warrior, accompanying me," She purred. Her voice wasn't soft and tender like one would expect from a mother, but instead young with a valley girl kind of accent.

Curled tightly into his nest, Olivekit dozed restlessly. He'd been rather bored if he was honest with himself, not finding any amusement in playing with the other kits like normal. The past few days he'd watched his mother spending time with his siblings one by one. He'd assumed he'd get his own turn but he wasn't sure, his mother might not love him as much as she loved his siblings. A sigh spilled out of him abruptly, and he cracked open his olive eyes to gaze absently at the den around him. Olivekit felt an itch in his paws, he wanted to do something, anything! Would it be worth getting in trouble to sneak out? Perhaps, or he could try worming his way out with another cat. There were many possibilities that he could see, and he lay there contemplating them all. The sound of a voice, his mothers, caused his ears to flick upright. She'd brought him food, and even shredded it for him! The instinct to jump up was strong but he stubbornly waited a moment, not wanting to seem to eager. Slowly sitting up and giving himself a good stretch he made his way over to the rune rock, mouth starting to water at the scent of the fresh-kill. "Thanks!" he mewed finally giving in to the satisfaction of having his mothers attention on him for the day. As he ate, trying his best to not inhale the food, he let his gaze watch as Autumngossmer arranged the bones into shapes he couldn't see.
At her next words he perked up instantly, any trace of a pouty kit vanished from his demeanor as he quickly swallowed the last bite. Bounding over to the stone slab that his mother was working on he grinned up at her, olive eyes wide with excitement. "Really!!! You mean it?! Oh wow! What clan are we going to see? I'll make sure to keep you safe, no enemy cat would dare try anything!!" He proclaimed standing as tall as he could and puffing out his chest. Planting his paws on the ground firmly he crouched down and stalked around in a circle eyes flickering around as though he were looking for enemy cats.
"When can we go?" he asked, tail flicking to show he was already growing mildly impatient. Didn't she want to spend time with him? Why was she taking so long? Being a kit the young tom was properly impatient and felt as though his mother were taking her time just to test him.
Autumngossamer purred at her sons enthusiasm, "I know you will and it won't be very long at all until you surpass my strength."
She neatly arranged her items, her ear twitching slightly at her sons whines, "Dear, I can't help, but pack the essentials, better late than ugly, I always say."
For a moment she sat down grooming herself, before looking at him from the side. For a long moment she watched his impatient pouty face before moving both paws down her face in fake exasperation, "Oh alright, let's get going," She said, a smile playing at her lips as she strode out of the den and into camp. Her tail tickling along Olivekit's back as she walked past him. Outside was buzzing with brightly colored cats going about their day, all of them painted with SunClan's colors. Since she was Soothsayer she was allowed to have any color of the rainbow on her pelt, but since Olivekit had rushed her she was going without any painted patterns leaving her with her typical orange tabby and vanilla white fur.
"Today we're going to see our ally, DayClan. They're very special compared to other clans because their leader is a member of SunClan. They're a very silly clan, they allow outsiders to walk onto their territory, but also serve us prey, defense, and warriors, among other things. In other words their our closest friend, but the other clans are about as valuable as the dirt beneath our paws and deserve as much respect as you wish to bestow upon them. Now then, remember to mind your manners to DayClanners as they've been nice to us and we've been nice to them," Autumngossamer said, which was only half the truth as SunClan had a long history of bullying and even enslaving DayClan. It took a long time to get to where they were now.
