Once upon a time, bengal fur would have been the signal of Vera's kin, a sort of royal status that couldn't be beat when the she-cat was Nemesis. Nowadays, however, a new line of such fur had taken the throne, and his own line faded largely into obscurity, stripped of power and left to roam the shadows. Surprisingly, the former Assassin didn't mind it much. Once upon a time, he'd fought to earn his mother's favor, but since losing his position for being pushed up as an 'heir' in a failed coup, he really did seem to slip away from the limelight.
Then again, he'd let his ambitions fall so to the wayside... perhaps now was the time to pick everything back up. It was just a matter of figuring out what he wanted, and how to get it, after all.
