Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A shrill yowl of pain echoed through the city's narrow streets. Nemesys looked at the dying feline in front of her with some form of disgust. She waved her tail as she turned to walk away from the body when she heard a voice call from behind her.
”Do you kill for fun?” a voice spoke, the question seeming to linger in the dull air of the area. The feline pressed her lips together after speaking, brows slightly raised as she addressed the feline before her. Her expression held curiosity, but there was a gleam in her eyes that seemed unidentifiable.
The voice was unfamiliar, but the Heda did not care at the moment. She had better things to ddeal than confront whomever this feline was. "No, I usually don't. The poor thing over there had the guts to walk near the camp a while back, so he had to be eliminated. It was all business."
”Not even a chance, eh?” A smile curved along her lips as she observed the heda with her round eyes. Kenna gave a small twitch of her tail as she stood there. It seemed the feline had no intentions of leaving just yet, but why was unanswered still.
She snorted and shook her head. "He had his chance when he stepped into the territory, and lost it when he got too close. It was his choice, so he had to pay the price for his ignorance." She turned her gaze to face Kenna. "If you are sympathizing with him, I can make sure you meet the same end."
”Does it look as if I am? Do you see me boohooing and crying about the mouse brained idiot? Does asking a question suddenly make someone weak?” Kenna raised her brows, and she was still smiling. The feline awaited a response, quite curious at that very moment.
This combatant had fire. She liked that. "No, asking a question like that does. Why would I ever give scum like that a chance? They would always just abuse my generosity." She never tried another method, but it was fair to assume the rogue's actions. She certainly would have taken advantage of her own ignorance.
Kenna smirked then. ”I believe you mistake my question. Think of it as... confirmation that you are a true heda of Absum Lux. I’ve always known them to be... merciless.” Her last words seemed approving, showing that she held a true loyalty to the leader now.
She raised a brow at her words. It sounded like an indirect challenge for her leadership of the Coalition. It was within Kenna's rights, but far from advisable. Still, if she wished to challenge her Nemesys would not turn it down. "And what other Hedas might you have a known?
”The original, of course. Some whisper she is still around here someplace..” Kenna shrugged though, dismissing the thought with a twitch of her whiskers. ”You have impressed a lot of us.” Kenna then paused, seeing the glint of challenge in the heda’s eyes. ”Do Not mistake my words as me seeking a fight. I am complimenting you, don’t you see?”
The original Heda? She doubted that. The coward ran off ages ago. The sorry cat was probably dead in a gutter somewhere, right where she belonged for abandoning what she created. "Hmph. Do you really think I'm dumb enough to believe that you have actually met her? Please." The Heda ignored her last statement. Of course she would try to convince her that it was not a challenge. Time would tell if that was true.
Kenna flashed a smile, but she had fallen silent. She was not going to waste her time I’m trying to convince the cat she was not a liar. Eventually, the truth always came to light.
She chuckled and turned her head to look back at the she-cat. "Nothing to say? I'm surprised. You seemed to have a comeback for everything I have told you. "
It sparked a smile along her lips again, but she decided it best to once more, say nothing. She found an odd fondness for her heda. Something about her was intriguing. Kenna took a few steps closer with a purr. ”Perhaps.”
"Certainly, not perhaps. Don't try to save face. If you keep silent you will lose what little respect I have for you." It was not a complete truth, but she did value her sass. She was certainly entertaining.
