(Miracle)
She sighed softly as she took the melted snow, pouring the water over one of the plants she was cultivating in an old science lab in the college that Foreign Affairs had taken over. A few of the grow lights she'd found while exploring still had batteries that worked, and if she looked hard enough, she expected she could probably find more that matched when these ran out. The assortment wasn't a particularly surprising one, considering the she-cat was a previous Chaman of the Regime, and well, very, very briefly the Shaman of the League as well, when they were looking for a replacement. It was mostly herbs of varying sorts, along with a few poisons, and a few plants that were probably actually edible, largely grown from abandoned seed packets she was bored enough to try and grow.
The brown feline considered she should offer Nyiradessa some, and really, she hadn't even told either the Shaman or Mage about these, but then again, these were for herself and her own uses. She could give them portions of the plants to grow, or to supplement her stores, but there was no way she intended to just hand everything over.
Unfortunately for Mircale, word traveled fast in the League. Or maybe Blue just had a sharp nose. She wasn't a particularly social cat so it was hard to believe anyone would have told her about this hidden garden. Regardless, the heavily pregnant Mage had managed to drag herself up various flights of stairs in search of herbs and was panting a little bit as she approached the brown she-cat. Blue was a very small cat - not Innocentia small, or Innnocentia cute, for that matter - and the bulge in her sides looked especially unnatural and uncomfortable. Blue's ribs were still visible; clearly whatever nutrients she gained from eating did not go to her. She just looked... pathetic. And very sad.
She was surprised to see Miracle but didn't say anything right away. She used to be a lot more fearful of other League cats and would have avoided them altogether; however, ever since her promotion to Mage, and her added hormones, she came to find out that she just didn't care anymore. Her title had earned her a little armor seeing as the average cat wouldn't want to kill her doctor. But if they did, oh well.
"Do you have any borage?" Blue asked point-blank, her eyes sort of empty. She should have milk by now but it still had not come. It was making her very nervous but Miracle likely would not be able to pick up on it. If only Henry-Baptiste had kept cleaner, more organized herb storage, she would have been able to find some from the last season. Unfortunately, the Shaman den had been neglected for many moons before she and Nyiradessa moved in, so here she was, looking for a summer herb in the winter. I'm sorry if the science lab isn't up stairs lol

( I didn't think past "This is a science lab with grow lights" so you're fine. xD )
It only took one glance at the pregnant mage for Miracle to comply, setting down the scoop she'd been using to water the plant and leaping up onto a higher shelf, it's available walking space rather slim, but she navigated it gracefully, walking up to the borage plant and carefully snipping off a few leaves. "Do you need them just for personal use, or to fill the stores? I can't give you too much, so I don't destroy the plant, and I'd rather keep the majority for myself. But I can help you get your own garden set up if you'd like." She explained. If it was Nyiradessa, she might have been more harsh, but the she-cat had been a Raiser for the majority of her time in the Regime, and naturally had a soft spot for queens and their kits.
Blue was a little surprised to receive no push back from her request. Most cats in the League never did favors unless they had something to gain from it. She didn't consider herself the best judge of character, but she didn't sense any of that selfishness in this she-cat. Blue was sort of forced out of her funk, at least at the moment, and sounded more spirited in her next reply, "Personal use. A dozen or so leaves should do it, if you can spare that much. I'll replenish my main stores in the spring..." She paused, "Your name is Miracle, right? I didn't realize you had such extensive knowledge of herbs. I'm learning, but it's not like there's a lot of examples around this time of year, and you know how Nyiradessa is... I may take you up on the garden offer once the kits are weaned."
Miracle nodded. Of course. "Yeah, you have that right. I used to be the Regime's Chaman, and I trained in raising kits and learning herbs for the majority of my training moons." She explained briefly. "If you need anything, whether it's a lesson, or someone to watch your kits, just ask. I love kits, so I don't mind." The feline was definitely the kinder sort in the League, strangely enough. She had the right aura for the League, but none of the harsh personality, beyond that which was necessary to prove she wasn't just someone easily pushed aside. "I spent a very, very short time filling in as Shaman here in the League too, Funk had needed help finding a new one after he became Nemesis some moons ago."
Though her achievements were certainly of note, the way the havana brown she-cat spoke was quite modest, explanatory, not flaunting, as though it were as normal as breathing. Then again, it was becoming increasingly apparent she was an unusual cat for this place, so that likely wasn't so surprising anymore.
Blue felt that Miracle was, well, everything. Pretty. Smart. Knowledgeable about herbs and raising kits. Actually, not just knowledgeable, but well trained. She had all the qualities and skills that the young Mage lacked. Why would Funk pick Blue over this she-cat? It didn't make sense but then again nothing seemed to these days... why not open up a little more? Blue from a few moons ago would take the kindness as a trick and stayed distant, but she wasn't the same cat anymore. She felt she had nothing to lose.
"I would like that. I have never raised kits." Blue said with just small smile tugging at the corners of her lips, although it was only because she wanted to laugh at herself, "I honestly have no idea what I am doing anymore."
