Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Firekit mewed loudly for his mother, but no sound came from her, no lick, no nuzzle, nothing. Her body was cold and stiff. A pair of paw's, two-leg, paws, picked him up and put him in a box. The two-leg walked out his home and walked for a while in the forest and placed the box down , opening and placing it's side. Firekit began to cry as the Two-leg walked away, leaving him in the box and dangerous forest.
A few hours later, the large, bright, flame-colored kit was crying out for food, hunger stabbed at his belly , driving him to cry out loudly, hoping some cat would hear his cries and have mercy on him. A few heartbeats later a set of paw-steps headed his way, he stayed stopped crying and went quiet, uncertain of who or what it was. He crept to the back of the box, praying that it was some cats who could help me and not some animal that would shred him to pieces.
Flamingstar heard the crying while out taking a stroll. She halted and perked her ears toward the direction of the cries. She walked forward with grace until she halted before the box. Peering in, she saw the kitten hiding in the corner of the box. The Nightclan warrior wasnt particularly good with kits so she wasnt exactly sure how to calm it. She swung her head around, searching for anything that would give her a sign that there was another cat around but there was nothing. Just silence and darkness. She leaned down and sniffed the kit. It smelled of two-legs. It must be a kitty-pet. There was no way she was bringing a kitty-pet kit into the clan. She turned away from the box and began to head home but something stopped her. Perhaps that little bit of light among the darkness of her heart. That hidden motherly instinct that wouldn't allow her to leave an abandoned kit. Closing her eyes tightly, she gave a defeated sigh. She turned on her heels and back to the box. "Shhh..." she hushed the crying kit, trying to be soothing but not really doing a great job at it. "Dont worry. Your safe, now" she lifted the kit out of the box and set it down on the ground. "Where is your mother?"
Firekit whimpered as he saw the older cat look in on him and then walk off, only to reappear and take him out of the box. He cringed on the forest floor and looked up at her at the mention of his mother. "She is dead." He replied with a sniffle, lifting a paw to swipe away the tears and snot running down his face. "My two-legs, picked me up and put me in that box. " He explained as he pointed at the box with his tail. "They dropped me off here and then left. My whole family is dead. I have no one." He told her, looking up at her with tear filled eyes, trying to hold them back, but unsuccessful as a drop fell, running down his face.
"Hmm..." was her only response to the distraught kit. She didn't know how to comfort him but she did feel slightly bad for him. "Come with me. I'll take you home with me and we will get you some food, okay?" She tried to be soothing but it just wasnt her strong suit. She didn't smile and stood tall in profession.
Firekit nodded his head. "Ok, thank you!" He replied with a wide smile. He walked up to her and purred happily up at her. "Where do you live?" He asked curiously, looking around the forest with his bright emerald green eyes.
"I live in the forest in a hidden cavern" she responded, forcing a smile. "Come, I'll show you." She turned away to lead him deeper into the dark, foggy forest.
Bleakwind had been out hunting with Flamingstar that day. He'd been a bit quieter lately, still admittedly a little steamed about Kotori weaseling his way into Flamingstar's life and good graces. But he had realized he was probably hurting Flamingstar and had decided he'd go with her today.
He proudly straightened up carrying a plump rabbit in his jaws, when he realized Flamingstar had separated from him. Concerned, he stashed his prey and headed towards where he could follow her scent. IT was quite foggy in the forest lately, something Bleakwind wasn't sure what to make of.
Then he saw Flamingstar, and his expression brightened, "Flamingstar and-" He trailed off when he spotted the kit beside her. "And who is this?" He asked.
"I'm not sure. I found him abandoned in a box" Flamingstar explained, looking down at the kit. Her and Bleakwind had been on rough terms lately. She had feelings for him, this was true, but she felt her heart being torn between Kotori and Bleakwind. She wasnt entirely sure who she liked more but was glad that Bleakwind decided to accompany her tonight.
Firekit followed Flamingstar and stopped beside her as another cat came up to them. The two seemed to know each other and when the other cat asked who he was, he answered with a smile."My name is Fire!" He told the other tom. "I was left in the box by my two-legs, they didn't want me after my whole family died. My mother died giving birth to me and my still-born sister, and my Father died from running in front of a monster on his way home. So my two-legs decided they didn't want me. So they put me in a box and dumped me in the forest." He explained to him. "And then Flamingstar found me, a few heartbeats ago."
