Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Autumngossamer held Amberkit in her paws, gingerly licking at each stray piece of fur, “Now you’re as smooth as honey,” She purred, tapping her daughter playfully on the nose.
She had been proud of how far she had come as a mom. It was only a few days ago that she had been depressed, sleeping in her nest for days and feel unworthy. Now that she had already spent a day with Siennakit and Scarletkit it was Amberkit’s turn to have a whole day with her. She didn’t feel as guilty and had more confidence now where as before she was afraid that the slightest wrong word could ruin her entire relationship with her daughters.
“And guess what? It’s our special day together and I saved you for last because I have something very very special for you. It might make your sisters jealous so try and not brag about it too much.”
She turned around for a moment and when she turned back over she had rolled over ten tiny leafy packages over to her, each the size of a claw, but Amberkit would be able to recognize them immediately as her mothers charms. They were special soothsayer tools, each containing different magical tools.
“I’m going to teach you magic today, sound fun?” Her mother grinned.
(I literally kept coming to this to reply and then zoning out, im so sorry)
Amberkit sat silently as her mother groomed her honey and amber coat to perfection, she normally hated being touched, but made an exception when it came to her parents and siblings. Finally released from Autumngossamers grasp the small she-cat shook out her fur and turned her blue eyes towards the charms placed in front of her. "Magic?" She whispered, leaning over to look closely at the objects, she knew what they were, being the daughter of the Soothsayer ensured that, but she had no idea how they worked.
"Mhmm, I trust you and I think you're ready. But this has to be our little secret okay? I'm not supposed to teach this to anyone except soothsayer promised, but since I don't have a promised I can always make up the excuse that I'm testing you," She reassured. A lot of parents in SunClan expected their young to grow up to be Janus or promised, but she had never given that kind of pressure to her kits. She rather they have their own ambitions that weren't forced onto them by her or Lovesmitten.
"We have some rune stones and bones, which would you like to use as future seeing tools?"
"I wont tell anyone, I promise." She was excited, knowing her mother was putting such trust in her, this was theirs and she would take it seriously. Amberkit looked at both sets of tools, giving the bones a thorough look over before setting her eyes on the stones and nodding. "The rune stones." She thought it would have been harder to decide, it seemed such an important thing but between the two, the stones seemed to pull her in their direction.
"Okay, this is very secretive and I'm the first soothsayer to use them so this stays between just you and me," Autumngossamer said.
Carefully she arranged each run stone making sure they were placed in a circular pattern with the rune symbols facing inwards to each other before carefully placing the giant runestone into the center causing the smaller stones to appear more like petals on the bud of a flower. "Next we get some paint, I like to use blue," Autumngossamer said as she carefully poured the blue paint into the center of the rune stone. The paint followed the runes grooves funneling down the large stone before overflowing over into the stone below it as it traveled from stone to stone. "And now there's one final step and that's painting your forehead, once I do you'll see your future, but it will come at you fast, so try to hold onto it because once you awake you'll quickly forget what you see. Most only remember one thing."
"Are you ready Amberkit?" Her mother asked as the rune stones began to glow in the background.
