Since she became a mother she carried an endless amount of guilt and for the first time didn’t feel good enough. She didn’t feel she gave them enough attention, she didn’t feel like when she did give them attention that she was meeting their needs. If Autumngossamer had felt useless before it always seemed to rise in her when she met with her kits. But now that it was the romance festival it felt wrong to not step up and spend time with each of them one on one the way she hadn’t been before.

Set up in front of them was a long stone decorated in a bed of moss with clay hardened saucer dishes containing various teas that she heated in the hot springs and a small pile of prey.

“This is called a tea party,” Her mother said in Siennakit’s ear before nuzzling her lovingly and walking up to it, “it’s where you groom your fur to look classy, not hot, classy. And then you talk all proper like, yet at the same time just totally bash on other cats. It’s basically a gossip party where you enjoy the finer things in life and look down on others. This is going to be sooo much fun!” She said, her brown eyes shining brightly before the enjoyment faded with doubt, “Wait, are you excited? Is this your kind of a thing?
