Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fia Cendrillon probably didn't interact with her Immortal Council members as much as she should. Okay, well, that was a lie. She talked to Goldenphantom a lot. So much so, that she'd started hearing rumors that they were mates, when she couldn't recall ever asking the other to marry her, though she wasn't displeased by the rumors either, and as such, didn't really try to disprove them.
Well, regardless, she was bored and wanted to do some fighting practice. Not that she needed it, considering she was one of the strongest in the clan, second only to her mother, Wanderingwight herself. It was hard to find anyone to work with when they all treated you like you were insane for wanting to be stronger, as to them, you were already at a level beyond what some could comprehend. Maybe that was why she'd approached Windchaser specifically. The she-cat was the next strongest Immortal Council member, strong enough to be part of the Bright Brigade if she wasn't already positioned above warriors.
Approaching the she-cat from the other side of camp, the light and shadow feline waved her plush tail in a greeting. "Hey, Windchaser. I was going to do some training and see what battle moves I can come up with. Want to join me?" There had to be better ways to go about fighting than they already had, right? Maybe that meant using their surroundings or developing new techniques, but the Socialite ranked feline didn't care about the particulars.
Windchaser perked her ears at Fia's request. The ginger and white Imperial turned her intense green eyes toward the nursery where her newest additions were playing. It had been a while since she exercised her battling techniques and she was not opposed to the idea but she would need to find a sitter for her young ones. "Of course! I will just need to find a sitter." She scanned the clearing until her eyes rested one of her oldest daughters, Buttercuppaw. "Buttercup!" She called to her miniature.
Buttercup halted in her tracks and bounded over to her mother. "Yes?"
"Will you watch your brothers and sisters while I'm out, please?" Windchaser asked.
Buttercup's tail dropped but she nodded reluctantly. "Okay."
"Thank you, my love." She gave Buttercup an affectionate lick between her ears before turning to Fia. "Whenever your ready."

Laughingpaw hadn't been doing much, but he heard Windchaser call out for her daughter to babysit her young siblings. Buttercup seemed disappointed. So the Maverick bounded forward, waving his tail in a greeting to Windchaser and Fia Cendrillon and offering a smile. "I'll help out." The tom offered, hoping that the help would take off some of her stress, in addition to the benefit of being able to talk to someone her own age. He looked every bit of Eternalstar's son, especially at the prospect of helping out with kits, whom his father had loved.
Fia gave a small hint of a smile directed at the young tom for his offer, before giving a nod to Windchaser's daughter, then to Windchaser herself, tail twitching towards the entrance of camp in the moment before she turned and walked out, knowing the she-cat would be right at her side. "I was thinking we could strategize new methods of fighting, and practice them, after we do some sparring." She continued, wanting to offer an explanation of what she'd intended for the day.
(Omg! Buttercup and Laughingpaw should become best friends!!)
Buttercup was surprised by Laughingpaw's offer but a smile spread across her face. "That would be so much help! Thanks!" She bounded toward her younger siblings with Laughingpaw at her side.
Windchaser followed Fia with her tail in the air. It would be nice to be out of camp for a while. "That sounds great" Windchaser purred. When they exited the camp, Windchaser pressed her chest to the ground and lifted her hind end in the air in a large stretch. "Ah, that feels so good." She straightened up and shook out her fur, relaxing her muscles from the stretch.

( I think Buttercup and Laughingpaw would be great friends! Maybe include Mysterypaw in there too for a cute trio? Idk, they seem like they'd be a good group. cx )
He grinned all the wider as he followed, offering a simple wave goodbye.
Fia Cendrillon nodded along, choosing to do the same motions motion and then rocking forward into upward dog with a soft sigh. "Mhmm. There's nothing quite like being able to stretch and then having the day ahead of you to yourself." She agreed, straightening and flexing her claws experimentally. They were still going further out yet, though she had the distinct desire to shirk responsibility for a moment and run free, which wasn't all too surprising, given the freedom and anarchy feathers that hung from her ear. "Alright. Let's go. You wanna walk or race?" She questioned, offering a sort of dangerous grin.
(Omg yes! Definitely!! <3 we should do a role play with just the 3 of them!)
"Isnt that the truth" Windchaser agreed with a purr. Then, her bold green eyes lit up when Fia offered a run. Given the feathers dangling from her ear that represented speed and honor, it was quite clear that Windchaser would never turn down a race. "Should that even be a question? Of course I want to race!" Windchaser flexed her claws and got down into an on-your-mark position, waiting for Fia to give the famous 'Go' that started every race.
(We really should. Maybe Buttercup 'orders' them out to do something, which is really her just taking them away for some fun, knowing the lower ranks can't argue, and most Imperials wont? Since she wanted to give them a break from being ordered around so much.)
Of course she'd accept. It was in the name, if the feathers weren't already obvious enough. Fia wasn't actually sure who'd win. But that was the fun of it, wasn't it? "We're headed to the Fairy Gardens. First one there wins, naturally." She crouched, mentally counting and flashed the briefest of grins towards Windchaser before she mentally counted, sounding off "GO!" On the off beat, and in an instant shooting forward, the cold breeze ruffling her fur and exposing the flickers of ginger running through it like embers. She wanted to win, though, really, she just enjoyed the excuse to run at full tilt without someone worried that something was wrong.
At the simple 'go' Windchaser shot forward like a bullet out of a loaded gun, spraying up dirt in her wake. Windchaser was naturally fast but being cooped up with two litters and three pregnancies, she had been out of shape. Especially with this last pregnancy, she had refused to leave camp at all on account of what had happened to her second litter where she had unfortunately given birth in the forest during one of Foxbane's prowlings. While it felt good to finally be out running, she wasnt sure how long she could keep going. Her muscles and lungs burned and her pads felt hot but in a strange way, she liked it. She missed the wind in her fur, the scenery flying by in a blur, her paws thrumming against the ground. It was paradise. Windchaser was never the one to care about winning the race, she knew she was fast, but it's the thrill of the race that mattered most to her. Being able to stretch her legs and test her limits. She was neck to neck with Fia but due to her inactivity, she was easily falling back but not by much. It just felt good to run.

In most situations, Fia would have expected to lose. The feline was fast, of course, she had the exceptional height of an Eerie, despite the fact she wasn't even part of their bloodline, as far as anyone knew, and she enjoyed running when she had the chance. Even so, Windchaser, in her best shape, was a runner, and while Fia had the capability to be very fast, she could only keep it up for so long before dropping down into a more measured, average running pace, as she was a creature meant more for battle than for racing, no matter how fun she found it.
The lead couldn't last, but she pressed forward to maximize it, making it a good few fox lengths ahead and holding there. But that was only for so long. Fia could feel her muscles protesting already, urging her to slow from her sprint just a little bit so that she could go the whole way, rather than getting so far ahead, only to flop into the grass in exhaustion before the finish. And then her lead was lost, and she could hear Windchaser gaining on her once more. She wanted to finish this race, and while winning was fun, Fia didn't particularly care if she did lose. No matter how out of shape Windchaser was, she could hold a faster speed for longer than Fia could.
Windchaser noticed Fia slowing down and the ginger warrior was also starting to slow due to the long distance running and not being able to run like this in a long time. The Fairy Gardens were coming into view so Windchaser dug her claws into the earth and pulled forward just ahead of Fia. The ginger warrior crossed the finish line a whisker before Fia did. She skidded to a halt, panting. While Windchase was fast, she was also smaller than the average cat and with Fia being taller than the average cat but Windchaser could run long distance. "Your fast, Fia" Windchaser purred between breaths. The ginger warrior had only just beat Fia.

The she-cat gave a breathy laugh in response. "Still nothing compared to you. I'm in the best shape I can be, and I lost anyway." Fia pointed out, though she didn't seem upset to admit she was lesser at something than someone else. She flopped over dramatically onto her side, breathing deeply to catch her breath. That was fun, she mused, wearing a sharp grin despite the loss.
Ah well. Maybe next time. Then again, Windchaser's kits were only getting older, so she'd probably lose even worse in the future.
"Hey, I probably won't be able to do this for much longer." She joked about her getting older even though she was still pretty young. "Maybe next time!" Windchaser laid on her side, taking deep and steady breaths. Even though she won, it wasnt easy. Windchaser figured the both of them needed a quick rest before they jumped straight into battling.
