Creaturepaw hummed an uppity tune to himself as he padded over to the Warrior's den in search of his mentor. It honestly couldn't be a worse pairing, the the apprentice could barely stand the mentor, but maybe that wasn't so uncommon after all. Regardless, Creaturepaw did love all the opportunities he got to mess with the righteous tom, and today was no different. He stopped his humming and nosed his way through the sleeping forms until he found his mentor and promptly bonked him on the head, "Good Morning, Ivory, how are you? I hope you're feeling fine. I'd love to stay and talk but it's almost 8:00. And I haven't got the time!"
It was maybe four am, not eight, but he'd already changed the name of the subject in the song and wasn't about to change the time, too. Literally everyone was asleep save for a couple guards who were nodding off a bit themselves. There was no training set to happen at this time, but they were supposed to meet first thing in the morning. Well, Creaturepaw had an itch to scratch, and decided to screw with his mentor,"You're late, my friend."

"Horrible, now." The white tom grumbled, lifting his paw to push his apprentice away. Ivoryzenith had been sleeping peacefully, after yet another agonizing day of training Creaturepaw. Of course, out of everyone to be given the Villain character cat, it was him. The good white king. He didn't even have Silverscepter by his side, her probably sleeping soundly in the nursery with their kits. His amber eyes finally peeled open, and he sat up. "Keep your voice down!" He commanded quietly but firmly, "It's definitely not 8 am, not that I see Clockchime to tell us one way or the other."
Creaturepaw let himself be pushed away but the second Ivoryzenith removed his paw the apprentice got right back in his face, "Don't be like that, my liege, time is just a construct. An illusion. So, whatever you make it!" His voice with raising with each word until he was very nearly shouting. A few Warriors in the den groaned, others shifted their bodies away from him, a few shot daggers at the apprentice and his mentor, but no one really said anything. Creaturepaw was always an inconvenience and they probably felt bad for Ivoryzenith for having to be responsible for him, "Come on, come on, while the moon's still high in the sky and the monsters are out to play."

Fine. It was always gonna be this way. Every day. For the next six months. Black and white, mixing together again. Darkness danced in the amber eyes of the king, and he slowly pulled himself up, this time keeping his pushed paw on Creaturepaw's chest. "If time is just a construct, why do you need to get anywhere by 8 am?" Ivoryzenith yawned. Even if most of those daggers were aimed at Creaturepaw, he couldn't help but feel them on himself. The knives that made him stand and gently lead the dark apprentice out of the nursery, even with his muscles begging him to stop. It didn't matter how illogical it was, that was their way. Now, he chose to head out, a single gleam of light.
"Touché, " Creaturepaw purred as he, too, exited the den, stomping on some poor queen's foot on his way out. He heard her groan but left before the lecture, following after the white tom with his body low to the ground then bounded ahead with a surge of energy. Creaturepaw had good form and was not a bad-looking tom; his rainbow-colored eyes were oddly enticing and his fur so dark he could have easily been mistaken for a shadow in the night, "So what are we doing today? Battle training, or something more quaint, like hunting or homemaking? I for one find one much more exciting than the other. Unless you have a surprise in store which may just trump them all."

He was boundless, truly. No matter what sort of rigorous training Ivory put him through, he always leapt right back up. The white tom gave him a killer glare once they left the den. "You know better than to step on your superiors. We can always spend this exciting night cleaning the dens instead of whatever you have in mind." He was only so strict, that was more Silverscepter's territory. It rarely worked, somewhat convinced his apprentice was training him. Amber eyes fought to stay open, they weren't winning.
"Oh, so homemaking?" Creaturepaw winked back at Ivoryzenith's glare. Threats always got exactly nowhere with this black-furred apprentice. If anything they got him more excited: He wasn't necessarily looking for a fight but he just couldn't help but push buttons when they were bright and shiny. Just like Ivory's, "That was my first choice, actually! There's nothing more fun then dragging a clanmate out of their nest in the middle of the night. 'What in StarClan's name are you doing, Creaturepaw?' they'll ask, and I'll respond with, 'Oh, you know, that Ivoryzenith ordered me to clean out your moss in the middle of the night, that guy sure has got a screw loose!'"

He couldn't help those bright, shiny buttons. Ivoryzenith kept them polished, though they were continually worn down with how much they were pressed. Of course, he was also too proud to back down. So with a push of his chest, he walked towards the entrance. "One step at a time, sport. It'd do you good to remember that." He said with a huff, "But you can't replace anything until you get some more moss... so let's go." Fatigue has defeated him, as had Creaturepaw.
(is it really a dad character if he doesn't call everyone sport?)
( LOL he is such a dad character. Defeated by the energy of the children xD )
"You had better teach me something interesting about moss that I did not know before." Creaturepaw continued to pester as he padded alongside Ivoryzenith. The two couldn't be more different in appearance or personality. Even a total stranger would be able to tell this from their gaits. Ivoryzenith walked like a champion with authority; Creaturepaw slinked across the earth like a shadow trying to escape the sun, "Otherwise, what was the point in dragging you along? I thought we were going to do something radical like battle training or some good trespassing. I suppose the day is still young."

(thank goodness. cause now when i'm rping him, I keep second guessing myself. but they should definitely accidentally trespass or come across something they have to fight. or creaturepaw wants to and ivory drags him away xD)
"After that display earlier, you can forget doing anything of the sort." Ivoryzenith was nothing but stubborn, a little too used to getting his way till this awful apprentice came around. Still, he walked out of camp and into the fields of Springclan with authority. Finally starting to wake up, get used to the dark, he continued, "We can do those things but you must learn to behave yourself." He wasn't sure how he lived this long with such a lack of manners. Typical for Illustratedpaw's ilk, but as his mentor, he couldn't stand for it.
