Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Anyone can join in at anytime with any character! In this quest Lilacpaw is giving orders and it's up to you to either comply or argue back)
"You, yeah I saw you go on that hunting patrol and I saw you bring back nothing, go out and come back with something. Hey, that crow in the freshkill pile doesn't look right, go make sure it's not a sick piece of prey. Has Zephyrglade been acting weird to you, I think you should go spy on him."
This had been Lilacpaw all morning, it seemed her temporary Imperial status clicked with her after the few days she had been an apprentice and realized that this was her calling. Barking orders at all of her clanmates who seemed to be slacking and making sure they upheld the warrior code. She knew if she did a good enough job at being an Imperial that they would let her keep it so may as well keep up the good work. Being Imperial Class meant that she could essentially boss around everyone who wasn't an Imperial, which was most people, it brought her more joy than she cared to admit, but her mother was Imperial and did the same thing so it only felt right.
Windchaser was watching Lilacpaw ordering cats around and couldnt help the amusement gleaming in her green eyes. She approached her daughter, giving Lilacpaw and affectionate lick between the ears. "My daughter. There is more to being an Imperial than bossing cats around." She chided gently. "While being an Imperial has its perks, rewards, and high responsibility, the leadership still belongs to Glowstar. As much as we are respected, Glowstar is still above us all and we must respect her position and not step on her toes. Do you understand?"
After a moment of silence, “Why is DayClan determined to be different? We never patrol our borders to chase intruders, we always back down to SunClan, we could have more patrols, but we choose not to for leisure time, no other clan has something called “Leisure Time.” Why are we selfish and put our own self interest above the clans productivity?”
"Because if we deny cats their leisure time, we will decrease productivity." Illuminatedpath meowed coming up beside his mate and his daughter. He'd noticed the pair in the middle of camp when he returned from hunting. He had already set down his catches and brought over a rabbit to share with his mate. "We start kicking out intruders all the time we might miss out on cats who have been key in helping make DayClan what it is. I was from a litter of outsiders, Rubyflame one of the immortal council members was a former kittypet long ago who got stronger to be a contributing member. And many other cats have joined our ranks to make Dayclan what it is. Cats have an expectation of leisure time now, and ultimately since we don't really have a need or want to patrol our borders we have plenty of time to relax and interact forging closer bonds with our clanmates."

The red tabby tom appeared shortly at Lilacpaw's side, looking rather tired, but the light in his amber cored cerulean eyes was still bright as he gave a smile to the Imperial she-cat, not seeming to notice the other two for the moment. Eternalstar's son had been assigned the Maverick class at random, making him one of only two Maverick apprentices, and one of four Mavericks in the entire clan. It wasn't an easy rank to be, at the bottom of the barrel. If you weren't doing anything, it didn't even need to be Lilacpaw to order you around. Anyone, and everyone, who saw him when he was free, assumed he was free to help out, and he'd since stopped trying to argue it, instead keeping his head high, optimism strong, and appreciated the fact that they gave him these challenges, instead of pitying him, as some did, and trying to convince others he really shouldn't, or worse, couldn't do things like a normal member of the clan. "I've finished that patrol of the border you ordered, Lilacpaw. Is there anything else you wa..." It was only then the tom seemed to notice her parents. Oh, he must really be tired from working since before dawn, if he was missing the Immortal Council member and her mate. "...oh. Sorry, I didn't realize I was interrupting."
"Your father is right" Windchaser agreed, greeting her mate with a touch of her nose to his cheek. Then her bold green eyes settled on Laughingpaw. "Maybe you should take a break, dear. You look exhausted. We dont want to be working our clan to death, now." Concern for the young apprentice shown brightly in Windchaser's eyes. While she didn't mind the new system, it was clear that some of the apprentices were working way harder than they should be. The duties should be shared, in her opinion. "Go grab a bite to eat and restore your energy. You deserve a break." As she said that, she flashed her daughter a stern look as if warning her to be careful who she assigns to what. If she assigns one cat too many duties, that cat could becomes too exhausted to perform any further duties, become ill, or even die if they dont get the proper rest and recovery that they need.

"Don't worry. I'm fine! But still, thanks." Laughingpaw assured, his smile turning grateful for the reprieve. With Windchaser's order, he actually had the ability to refuse an order from pretty much anyone, and those who could still order him around probably wouldn't. He lifted the half of a right foreleg he had and pointed it to Lilacpaw, closing his blind eye and sticking his tongue out at her playfully. "I still have that report, when you're free though, Lilacpaw. I'll grab a bigger piece of prey, so you can have something to eat while I fill you in later. If you're not hungry, I'll see if any of the kits or other apprentices want it."
Lilacpaw wrinkled her nose at Windchaser's stern looks and for the first time the thought that her mom didn't know best crossed her mind. She didn't know what DayClan was capable of because she never pushed her warriors, she settled. Windchaser was the bravest, strongest, and quickest warrior, but she also had a big heart, she could tell it was getting in the way of her decision making. "Very well," Lilacpaw said, taking all her self control to not say it back to her parents coldly. She did not want to be six moons old and still getting timeouts. Her mom and her maybe equal social classes, but she knew full well that even a wall made of iron separating her mom from wasn't going to stop her mom from being her mom.
She watched Laughingpaw walk past them and only offered him a firm nod at the mention of prey before turning back to her mom and dad, "If I may defend myself, Laughingpaw needed to be worked more, people are pitying him. He needs to work harder than the rest to be better than the rest and given his disadvantages he needs to try harder. I believe in him more than anyone, if I let him laze around camp like I do for the rest of DayClan it means I have little attention or care for him," Lilacpaw said before dipping her head, "Now if you'll excuse me I need to be briefed on his findings."
Lilacpaw turned back to look at Laughingpaw to see what prey they were having.
