Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was all fun and games until all of her littermates got caught. Gingerkit had the bright idea to wake her siblings up in the middle of the night and decide to sneak out to invade DayClan. After all DayClan was SunClan's ally or at least she thought they were. In reality DayClan and SunClan were in a strained relationship right now ever since DayClan found their warrior and apprentice dragged onto SunClan's territory. Now DayClan had collected the SunClan kits and put them in their nursery, but weren't sure what SunClan would believe if they came by the border and tried to explain that a whole litter of kits snuck out and entered into DayClan unbeknownst to everyone. While the grownups were figuring things out though Gingerkit was still in high spirits interested to see all of the DayClan kits.
"Okay guys, let's try to make a good impression. I know we're better than them, but I don't think we should be mean about it," Gingerkit whispered to her littermates.
Eveningkit was in her nest in the nursery, giving her fur a good grooming. She had noticed the Sunclan kits but had decided not to engage. Her mother, Windchaser, always had a deep everlasting grudge against Sunclan and had raised her kits up to despise them despite being in an alliance with them. Her mother always told them to honor the alliance but to never trust them. Windchaser also had a confusing, intense, and delicate relationship with Autumngossomar, ironically the mother of their current guests. It made Eveningkit uncomfortable to have the kits of their mother's enemy in their nursery. Windchaser's daughter avoided eye contact, hoping that if she showed she wasnt interested, they wouldn't bother her.

"Do you think they realize we can hear them?" Shiningkit was laying next to Eveningkit, speaking loud enough to where the Sunclan kits could hear him. He let out a chuckle but didn't move. He knew his mom didn't like Sunclan, so he probably shouldn't either. Not that he could stop watching them curiously through yellow eyes.

Aster's gaze flicked from the new Sunclan kits to the newest litter here. It felt like yesterday there was only 3 of them, now there were a lot more. She didn't get the grudges back and forth, it seemed like a pain. For now, it looked like she would have to play messenger. With a sigh, she stood up and walked over to the Sunclan litter. "Hi, I'm Aster. What're your names?"
Eveningkit stopped grooming and gave her brother an amused look. "I guess Sunclan kits aren't very smart" Eveningkit joked back. Eveningkit wasnt usually mean but she wasnt sure what Windchaser would think if she found out her kits were making friends with Sunclan's kits. Let alone Autumngossamer's kits.
Amberkit had been hesitant to follow her sister and littermates , but after some convincing here she was sitting in Dayclans nursery with them. Her soft baby blue eyes were gazing around the den, passing over the kits of this clan as they lay in their nests, some sleeping and others making snarky remarks just loud enough to be heard by anyone in earshot, upon hearing Shiningkit and Eveningkits voices her round eyes snapped back to them. Their words sent a rush of irritation through her but, she forced her fur to remain flat against her body. "At least we aren't chickens, hiding behind our mother." It was blunt and spoken directly at the other kits, a quality that often got the baby faced Amberkit in trouble.
Eveningkit looked around the nursery for her mother, knowing well that her mother wasnt in the nursery when Amberkit shot back her remark. "Sunclan cats must be blind, too." She looked at her brother, Shiningkit. "I dont see mother in here, do you?" Eveningkit's mother was discussing with the clan what they were going to do with the Sunclan kits since Windchaser was an immortal council member and an imperial. She was highly respected and important to the clan. It was only fitting that she would be out of the nursery, discussing their current situation and being part of the solution. However, even though Windchaser had kittens, she was much busier than the usual queen. While she still cared for her kits, she was also juggling her family life with her warrior duties.
A single ear flattened at the remark, but perked back up, "I'm Gingerkit!" She chirped, "And over there is my sister-"
She caught Gingerkit calling the DayClan cats chickens and flattened her ears, "Amber!" She scolded but placed a paw over her sisters shoulder, "I thought we agreed to try and be nice, because we're just that cool. Okay? You're the awesomest person I know, you don't need to prove that by calling them chickens."
Gingerkit gave her best big smile despite Eveningkit's words, "Hi there, do you want to stay up late and play games with my sissy's and me?" She asked hugging Amberkit close.
Amberkit held her tongue, obviously the DayClan kits hadn't quite understood the meaning of her words. It was Gingerkits voice that broke her gaze from the others. "Yea okay, I'll be 'nice' " she mumbled under her breath, it seem her sister was one of the only ones who could get through to her when she was angry, though she knew the remarks were not going unheard by Gingerkit. The cream and white she-cat gave a weak smile as her sister hugged her closely.
The ginger she-cat tilted her head in confusion. They wanted to play? Eveningkit gave an uncertain glance at her brother before responding to Gingerkit. "I suppose? I'm wide awake and have nothing better to do. I, Eveningkit and this is Shiningkit" she introduced, flicking her tiny tail toward her brother next to her.
Lostkit moved out from his nest and over to Shiningkit and Eveningkit. For a while it was just him and Aster in the nursery, but ever since Shiningkit and Eveningkit were born the nursery had been a lot more fun. He had been listening about the new kits who had found their way into DayClan and was interested in messing with them. "Hey I know a fun game, let's play ghost in the graveyard. We all hide and then the ghost comes looking for us. We could hide around camp or venture just an intsy bit outside of camp."

Gee, these kits were vicious. It made Aster glad that it had just been her, Spring and Lostkit for a while. Even he wasn't as bad as some of these kits. And they were fighting. Oh god, she was scrambling for a solution, trying to hold back the other half as much as she could. But then somehow they resolved it. Thank goodness, she was hopeless in situations like this. She joined the group, giving Lostkit a grateful nod.

"Ooh, ooh, sounds fun." Shiningkit let go of all animosity the instant a game was mentioned. "Oh, and I'm Shiningkit."
Amberkit still had her doubts but she began to relax as more and more of the kits joined in on the suggested game, turning her baby blue eyes toward Shinningkit she gave a small but friendly smile. "Its nice to meet you, Shinningkit." If she was going to be stuck here while the adults figured out what to do then there was no point in making it worse than it needed to be.
"Great," Lostkit said and with a grin this time said, "Let's play."
Lostkit walked them out of the nursery, "I'll be the ghost so I'm going to travel north, when ten seconds pass you can all hide, you have thirty seconds before I come out to find you," He explained and with that walked away.
Gingerkit looked around in all directions, everything felt so out in the open how did anyone hide!? She looked past camp, there was plenty of interesting places to hide over there, "Hey girls, let's go hide a little bit outside of camp," She whispered to her sisters.
Amberkit was looking around, her thoughts very much similar to her sisters, hide and seek must be a boring game for them if this was all they had to work with. "Are you sure itll be okay to leave the camp, Gingerkit?" They were being held here against their will, what would the older cats think...
"I don't really care one way or another, plus look at that cute DayClan tom that ran off, maybe him and I have a chance. OH! Can you imagine it Amberkit? Two cats tragically separated by why their loyalty lies. I would long for him, he would sneak over the border to meet with me. It would be so wrong, but we would have each other! One day he would just say, screw it all Ginger, we're meant to be together and he would come and move into SunClan with us, it would be the most beautiful love story, wouldn't it?" Gingerkit dreamed as she walked and talked and already walked farther than she intended.
Amberkit stared at her sister with a puzzled look as the walked, it was obvious to anyone that her and Gingerkit were completely different but she admired the way her sister thought and how deeply she felt about things. "That sounds like a mighty fine plan, so long as you are happy." She purred, nudging her sisters shoulder. "Come on, let's hide!" As soon as she said it, she realized how far out they had actually gone and began to look around, lost.
"Oh! This hollow tree, nobody is going to find us!" Gingerkit chirped and ducked inside of the hollow tree scooching over for her sister and patted the spot next to her, we're in this for the long haul.
Lostkit let out a fake wolf howl to indicate that he would come looking for them, "Better hide little piggies," He said with a fake devious cackle.
She squeezed in beside her sister just asLostkit gave the warning howl to begin his search, surely there was no way he would think to look outside of camp. "We are gonna win this game for sure."

Shiningkit bounded out of the nursery at just the mention of the game. The thought of his sister and the others behind him didn't even phase him as Lostkit finally started counting after what felt like ages. As the Sunclan pair talked, he crawled into the medicine cats den. It wasn't like Brakewings was using it anyway. He hid in a pile of herbs, no doubt scattering the meticulous piles into disarray. It was a decent hiding place, though he had to hold his ears down flat and the constant pull hurt some.

Aster didn't immediately participate. Something about the game made anxiety pool at the bottom of her feet. Instead, she chose to watch the kits closely. Even when Gingerkit and Amberkit went outside of camp, she only took a few steps forward to get an idea of where they were before going back towards the nursery. She didn't want to reveal them so easily, after all.
