Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. [Invited Only] Autumngossamer had arranged the Blind Dates and gave no information on who anyone was meeting except simply the location, time, and activity. In this particular date the activity was to collect crystals in a cave together, they were told to meet inside the dark cave and once they two met they could start collecting crystals in small baskets supplied to them.
Duskslayer looked around in the cave and was surprised how fast his eyes adjusted, he really shouldn't have been though. He was certain there was a Regime genetic at play, making it far easier and clearer to see in the dark than most cats. He decided to sit down silently so he could hear when the other person would come in, but then also wondered if maybe they were already here hadn't announced themselves. He tasted the wet cave air, but came up with nothing, but old scents. He had been really debating for a long time about having a mate in SunClan and debated even more about having kits with one. He didn't like the idea of SunClan owning the kits he had, it wasn't a common fear most SunClan cats had, but after experiencing more outside cultures he knew that rule wasn't normal or right. But he couldn't help, but get into the spirit of things and wanted to participate in a blind date, he wasn't against true love by any means.

Black fur brushed against the tunnel's side as Unseenlights made her way into the tunnels. She felt her way to where duskslayer was sitting waiting on her arrival. Unlike most, the darkness of the tunnels didn't bother her. She had been born without vision, so navigating without being able to see was no more difficult than navigating any where else. However, the echos in the tunnels were hard on her over senetive ears "Hello Duskslayer" she greeted, a little surprized that it was him that Autumngossamer had set her up with
“Unseenlights, hello,” He greeted, he sounded charmed to see her before bashfully adding, “I don’t know who I guessed would be meeting with me, but I’m really glad it was you,” Duskslayer said honestly, a smile in his voice before saying honestly, “Though I don’t really know what I’m going to do with any crystals we do find.”
He looked between the two baskets, but almost felt that was a trap to give them two. It felt improper for him to let her hold the basket or at the very least take turns rather than both of them lugging it around, “There are two baskets, but if it’s alright with you I can carry one and you can decide which crystals go in. I can paint you a picture of each crystal, although right now I don’t see any.”

Unseenlightlights could feel the heat rising to her cheeks. No one had ever been glad to see her, often pushing her off to the side or ignoring her all together. But the warmth and genuineness in his voice sent a shiver down her spine "I'm glad its you to" she shuffled her paws nervously "I have always admired you..." she trailed off, mentally berating herself for saying something so mouse-brained. "Uhm yeah, that is ok with me" she smiled shyly. It probably would have made more sense for her to carry the basket and him to pick out the crystals since he could see, but it seemed wrong to not allow him to take the lead
The red bloomed in sync with his eyes as they grew wide at her compliment "Really?" Duskslayer asked, swallowing hard as suddenly he felt parched when he wasn't moments ago, "Sometimes I feel like the supportive character role at best and at worst a background character, I never knew anyone paid attention to me enough to admire me... "Hey is that ruby?" He asked nudging her in the direction when really he had no clue what the rock was, but could sense that they both felt awkward. Maybe because this wasn't like either of them to just go on a blind date, it felt entirely out of their comfort zones.
"No it must be a sapphire, it's blue and there's more edges to it," Duskslayer said before gently lifting Unseenlight's paw, "May I direct your paw to it?"

Sending a blind cat in the search of crystals... It had seemed like a rather cruel joke, until she felt him gently lift her paw. It felt like a jolt of electricity passed through her, Where other cats had pushed her away and made fun of her sightlessnees, here he was gently guiding her. Normally it would have made her angry to have someone offering to help in such a way, but coming from him it was sweet and genuine. He wasn't pittying her, it was more of and excuse to touch her to be near her. A purr rumbled in her throat "Please do" while all stones smelled similar in the cave, being able to touch them would help her be able to form and image of it in her mind
His paw tenderly moved up her arm before resting at her paw and guiding it up to the gem, its surface was smooth, but had many soft ridges showing off the complexity of its design. "It looks like a vivid blue, but if I'm being honest, it's hard to tell in the dark, it can be however we imagine it to look. We're gonna pry it out together because it looks a little wedged in there..."
Why did a sapphire look wedged into stone? It should just be there naturally, unless Autumngossamer literally planted it there for them to find and this cave wasn't actually normally filled with gems.
"Alright, on 3, let's pull with all our might, and 3," He said teasingly taking no time to do a count down. He pulled lightly, his paw touching hers as he gently pulled at the gem stone, being careful to remove it without scratching the surface.

Unseenlights leaned into him as her weight shifted when her paw was lifted to the gem. He was being so gentle and sweet, and she couldn't help but feel her heart thrumming her chest at his closeness "Im sure it will be stunning in the light" she purred. On three, she pulled hard... A little two hard as she went stumbling backwards, but instead of falling backwards it just caused her to press her body up against his, her back against his chest and his warm breathe tickling the long fur on her neck.
"You comfy?" Duskslayer asked, a devious tone played into his voice, but his paws gingerly helped her back onto her paws. He didn't take advantage of the moment and push her closer, opting to instead have his tail move close to hers to first see if she was interested in any unnecessary touch. Once Unseenlight's was standing she could still feel the swan feather softness of his pelt even though his fur no longer brushed up against her fur as closely as it had before. "It is colder down here though and this is a date, I don't want to you to freeze on me. You're welcome to warm up against me if you wish to."

"I.. .. "Unseenlights stammered, flustered by finding herself in such a situation. She had never really allowed anyone to touch her since she had begun her apprentice ship. Her mentor had been cruel, pushing her to do tasks and being both physically and mentally abusive. Her first though is if he would feel the raised scars that her long feathery black fur hid from the rest of the world. But the moment passed quickly, almost to quickly, as he helped her to her paws. She found herself instantly missing the warmth, as the cold from the caves slowly seeped through her fur. "That would be nice" she replied shyly slowly inching closer to Duskslayer until there was barely anything separating them, but not brave enough to quiet make the final move.
There were two halves inside of Duskslayer at war with themselves. His logical side wanting him to enjoy the moment, but continue on with the date and collect crystals. Then there was the more... Carnivorous side that wanted to take advantage of the isolated moment, to kiss her from her muzzle to her neck, and feel the moment rather than live an activity. But the logical side was slowly winning, he could feel his mind slowly working when in actuality it was working at the speed of milliseconds. He had noted since he was young that many SunClan cats enjoyed fooling around with others, never settling with a mate until the time was right for them. What if... This moment was just a moment and it wouldn't last. He felt selfish, but he wanted to know that this would last for more than a day and the more he wished for it to last the more he wanted it to last for a life time. He almost inwardly cringed at himself, no wonder he should have fallen in love young, everything in this moment felt like perfection and he knew it was because this was his first love, but the feeling was so strong he felt certain she was the one, but who he thought that way? That was crazy.
"I'm going to be inappropriately forward and ask if maybe... You would like to take a break and we can enjoy one anothers company?" Duskslayer asked, his words whispery soft, but certain and as he said it only became more confident that he wanted to ask to spend more time with her.

Unseenlights froze, her breath catching in her throat as she forget to breathe until she became light headed. Was he suggesting...? No he wouldn't. But he was. No one had ever even given her second glance, and here was this sweet and caring tom wanting to spend time with her. She screamed internally, like and over excited kit overwhelmed by the flood of emotions that came bursting through the heart she had tried to so hard to barricade and keep safe from the outside. She had spent so long building up the barrier, and he had managed to tear it down in mere moments. This was crazy. This was only a first date, so why did it all feel so real and raw?
She couldn't find the words she wanted to say, instead his words gave her courage. She moved forward pressing her nose against the crook of his neck,her tail reaching out to intertwine with his "I..As long as I'm with you it matters little what we do. "
