After leaving the warm, familiar hollows of FallClan behind, Heathersong was afraid she would feel lost and alone in a clan of strangers bearing more scents than the clearing at gatherings. This fear was assuaged, somewhat, by the kind welcome and tightly-knit community SwiftClan had grown into, but she still felt like there was a connection missing. Something person, someone who would notice if she didn't show up for breakfast. Sure, SwiftClan was full of casual acquaintances and friendly buddies, but she hadn't felt the true bloom of companionship she left behind in FallClan, leading to some tentative regrets as to her hasty decision.
Looking out over a camp that had apparently been another clans some time before her birth, she couldn't help but feel out of place in her own pelt. Maybe a walk about their territory would help ground her. Standing, the apprentice-sized she-cat arched her back in a long stretch before leaping down from their camp and onto the chilly forest floor. It might be dangerous to go by herself, since she didn't think they marked their borders and who knew what kind of rogues might wander over, but then realized that she would have to endure the painful song and dance of finding someone, making awkward conversation, and then finally heading out. No, it would be much faster to just go herself.
Despite all of the challenges and brand-new faces that came with forming a brand-new clan, Sliprabbit was having a great time so far. The newly-made warrior felt right at home here; in the territory she grew up in before the floods washed Waterclan into a bunch of little pieces when she was barely an apprentice. This was technically the second time the lovely silver tabby had moved clans, always following along behind her aunts and uncles. Though a small part of her would always miss the lunch wildflower fields of Summerclan, deep down she always knew her destiny lied with her family.
Of course, being a part of such a close-knit family leads to some problems...like the realization that hit her as she was gobbling down a fish for breakfast, that hit the she-cat like a strike of lightning; her only friends were her family. Nearly choking on her meal, she suddenly sat up, her mind reeling as she went back through her entire life. Yeah, everyone in Summerclan was friendly enough, but she honestly couldn't remember hanging out with anyone else besides her sisters.
Dear Starclan...she was a recluse like uncle Chimerastar. That was the nightmare scenario. She had to fix this immediately.
Her clover gaze frantically scanned the camp, hoping to find anyone to possibly hang out with. Finally, she caught sight of a warrior leaping down into the territory. Sliprabbit couldn't tell which new member of Swiftclan they were, but it was better than nothing. Scampering over to the ledge, she leaned over and called out to them. "Hey! Hey! Can I come with you?!"

Heathersong's head jerked when a loud voice called from above her, eyes widening. "Sliprabbit, right? Sure, feel free! I'd appreciate the company, actually." She waved her tail for the other she-cat to join her, unable to recall if they had met before or not. "I'm still not totally sure where our territory ends and the rest starts, so having another set of eyes and ears would be a boon." The calico she-cat paused, waiting for Sliprabbit to jump down and join her. It was as though StarClan answered her prayers, sending her a friend from above.
Sliprabbit nearly tripped down the hill in her eagerness to catch up to the other she-cat, whom she now recognized as Heathersong, before bounding up to her new clanmate's side with as friendly and reassuring of a grin as she could possibly muster. "Oh! That's no problem!" She replied cheerfully. "I was raised in this territory before it got destroyed and whatnot. I doubt Uncle Chim changed the borders much, if at all, so I can give you the grand tour!"
