Cleaver jk about the title, play all the stardew valley you want queen
Honeycrisp was close to kitting and she was very angry about it. There was permanent scowl on her face as she practically waddled around the camp. Today she was especially uncomfortable and was currently sunning herself outside the nursery in the weak not-quite-newleaf sun. She was alone in this and that bothered her, especially since kits had never been a want for her. Now she was expecting and alone, all her friends busy still being warriors. Was being a queen always this awful? How did any clan have kits if that was the case?
Jayjack scowled down at the apprentice as he hovered on the rim of the camp. Once again the little 'paws were being inefficient and responding poorly to criticism, and he was sick and tired of them wasting time, and tired of their mentors telling him it wasn't his responsibility to discipline them. He was their senior, of course it was his job to put them in line! Who else would? Shaking his head, he let the young unfortunate go and stalked on further into the camp, where his sharp blue gaze fell upon the queen. "When those little ones come out you'll be letting the whole clan help raise them, right?" he yelled over to her.
life is a lot, and I'm sorry for how much it impacts me here

The call of Jayjack had her looking up, eyes locking onto the tom, "the whole clan can raise them without me," she snipped, eyes flicking to a beetle that crawled lazily by, "why, you looking for a litter?" The young queen wasn't sure of Jayjack, but he seemed rather... aggressive. Especially since they'd never had a conversation and here he was yelling at her. She snorted at the thought of him adopting a litter, she bet anything he'd hate having his own kits.
