Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Creampaw's ears folded in despair at Flamingstar's words, but her heart quickened and before she understood what she was doing she shot down into the tunnel after the cat. It wasn't a few moments later before Flamingstar could hear that Creampaw must have caught up with the prey thief. There was a small scuffle as the two attempted to fight in the cramped quarters before they both came to the agreement that they could fight outside because it was too annoying fighting in a tunnel. Creampaw walked out with the rabbit in her jaws and the prey thief walking after her, but the moment he saw Flamingstar was still there he turned tail and tried to take off back into the tunnels.
Flamingstar launched forward and sunk her claws into the theif's back and dragged him back between herself and Creampaw. "Oh no you don't. You stole our prey. Explain!"
"I was hungry!" The young cat cried out right as his stomach growled.
Creampaw nodded, "That checks out!" She chirped, "So what should we do? OH! Should we make him at the entire rabbit till he gets sick and throws up? No wait, we would probably need more rabbits for that um... Warrior training didn't prepare me for this moment. I think we should chase him off according to the warrior code though right?" Creampaw asked.
"Both of those options sound great, I'm Whitley by the way if I haven't already introduced myself," He purred.
Flamingstar narrowed her turquoise eyes, a part of her felt bad for the young tom. He was skinny and obviously hungry. She looked from the tom, to the rabbit, and back again. As much as she wanted Creampaw to make the final decision, she wasn't sure Creampaw would make the right decision. "Alright. Take it and go. BUT, let this be a warning, Whitley. No more hunting on Nightclan territory, do I make myself clear? Next time there won't be a warning." Her voice was stern and her eyes cold but she was showing this skinny young cat mercy.
Whitley nodded, "I won't forget this kindness." He picked up the rabbit and raced off.
Creampaw watched him leave, disappointed that he didn't have his tail between his legs. He was strong willed, but she didn't really admire that characteristic unless it was in an authority figure like Flamingstar. She turned to look back up at Flamingstar with a happy expression as though to ask, did I do good? But it seemed to fade with a small realization. She was going to be a warrior if she passed so that meant less time with Flamingstar. For her recent apprenticeship she had been spending every single day with her, it was going to feel off for the two to be apart from one another. Somehow it left a hollow hard feeling in her heart that felt more like a rock now.
"What's next?" Creampaw asked, "Or maybe I passed?"
Flamingstar watched the tom run off before looking back at her adopted daughter. "Well, I suppose you did alright." She responded with an approving nod. "Perhaps you are ready. Come, let's get back to camp."
