Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Since Paos computer is being dumb I am posting the ceremonies on her behalf)
Wintrystar looked over the cats before her. Lately, her belief in StarClan had been wavering. She'd yet to go to receive her lives, but had still taken the title of -star to hopefully ease the minds of her clanmates and to keep the other clans from believing them to be leaderless. Gazing upon the cats before her she called out. "Gather today for a the changing of ranks. Hear me as I call upon those who've passed before us to grant these cats strength in their coming days!" She waited, seated above the clan on the high rock. Her eyes watched as eager cats appeared before her, some more excited than others.
"Today, we welcome new warriors into our ranks and promote kits to apprentices. Coolpaw, Polarpaw, step forward to receive your new names." Wintrystar waited for the two cats to move forward before she continued. "From now on, Coolpaw, you shall be known as Coolfreedom. May you come to understand your new name and value its change." Turning to the other apprentice, she continued, "Polarpaw, from today forward you shall be known as Polarblast. May you as well come to understand your new name and value its position in the clan."
The newly named Polarblast grinned, smug appearance puffed out as he gazed upon their leader. He was beyond pleased to finally be a warrior, a full member of the clan at last. Dark fur was sleek and smooth, groomed just for this moment. His eyes darted to his mother, looking for her approval as always.
While the new warriors were congratulated, Wintrystar thought who mentors for her next group of cats. Seven kits were in need of mentors. Gazing out to the cats gathered, she realized that half their ranks would become mentors this moon. It was both good to see grow in the clan, but startling by how many kits were ready to become apprentices at this time. "Cloudkit, Frigidkit, Galatickit, Tundrakit, Northkit, Enchantedkit, and Cosmickit. Please step forward." She paused. Then began again once they'd all made it to the front. "From today forward, each of you shall be known as apprentices of the clan. May you learn quickly and take all your training seriously."
Enchanting mint eyes searched through her ranks. "Asterblossom, Crimsonrose, Stormyblizzard, Liminalgold, Pineflurry, Harlow. Today, I give you each an apprentice. Someone to train and teach all you know. May you be strong in these moments, and patient with them as they learn the ways of WinterClan. Teach them well." Awaiting for these selected cats to step forward, she thought of their pairs. Believing herself just in who she chose for which apprentice she began pairing them up. "Asterblossom from today and until you dem them ready, you shall be training Cosmicpaw. Crimosonrose, you're charge shall be Frigidpaw. To my deputy, I give Tundrapaw. Liminalgold, from today on you, shall be training Enchantedpaw. Galaticpaw shall be taught by Pineflurry. Northpaw, may Harlow teach you well the methods of WinterClan."
One apprentice left. Cloudpaw. "The final apprentice, Cloudpaw shall be taught by myself." Hopefully these assignments worked and she could be promoting these apprentice soon and thus strengthening the ranks of WinterClan some more.
Cosmicpaw lifted her ebony head as Wintrystar named her an apprentice, she was one step closer to becoming the best Winterclan had to offer, as she waited to hear who her mentor would be she looked around at all the possibilities, so many strong soldiers and one would be training her. The name that left her leaders mouth though caused her head to jerk forward, her gold eyes wide before narrowing in anger, what?! how could she do this to her, how could she stick her with Asterblossom as a mentor, there was nothing strong about the soldier so how would she be able to learn what she needed to. The apprentice cut her eyes at Asterblossom, forcing down the growl that was trying to push its way out.
Enchantedpaw walked up to her mentor as they were paired and offered a smile, she had no complaints and even if she did they would never be made known to anyone, she would simply bottle them up and find a way to turn it on herself. She didn't want to let Liminalgold down though, she could never live with herself if she failed the soldier.
Northpaw didnt move when her mentors name was called, the blind she-cat honestly didn't think she would make it this far, honestly thinking her mother would have found someway to convince Wintrystar she was useless enough to just throw her in with the barons until she died. She turned her clouded amber eyes in each direction, unsure where Harlow was and cursed silently.
Stormyblizzard purred and walked to Tundrapaws side with a smile, she could see the potential the young tom had and vowed to help him hone and enhance it. "Hello Tundrapaw, are you excited?" She looked down at him with shinning eyes.
Wolfbee let out a loud purr of excitment as Asterlossom was given an apprentice, proud that the she-cat would be able to pass on her skills to another, she almost yelled out in joy but managed to stop herself the only sound from her being a squeaking cough as she forced her mouth shut again.
Stormsurge was watching Polarblast and when the new warrior looked at her she nodded slowly, her own show of pride. This was her favorite kit and he knew it, and now he was a warrior as well. Before any of his siblings. Stormsurge saw a leader in him.
Asterblossom wasn't so sure about this, but when her eyes found Wolfbee she felt all the love and confidence the other she-cat had for her and it gave her strength. Her and Cosmicpaw would get along great and she'd turn into a fine warrior. With a resolute shake of her head she listened to the rest of the ceremonies patiently.
Tundrapaw was being mentored by Stormyblizzard! The young cat looked over at Stormsurge excitedly but his mother was making her way over to Polarblast, his stupid brother. The excitement drained from him and by the time his mentor approached him his head was down and tail drooping, "oh, yes Stormyblizzard. It's gonna be great." Not that Stormsurge would notice.
Galacticpaw should be excited, but he wasn't. Apprenticeship was boring and a scam, he should be a warrior now. Who was Pineflurry anyway? No doubt a common cat, he deserved Wintrystar or Stormyblizzard, not these other students.
