Earlybloom had arranged Chestnutpaw's very first test, they'd be hunting for herbs. Earlybloom had made a list of their locations on WinterClan territory and would expect her pupil to find the herbs in a timely manner. The Witch absolutely adored her pupil and wanted her to succeed, it was a long road to becoming a witch but she had faith in Chestnutpaw. Today would be a test of that faith.
The gray and white she-cat awoke before Chestnutpaw and sat outside her den, tail curled perfectly around her paws and eyes tipped towards the sky. The pupil wasn't expected for several more minutes and Earlybloom took this time to pray for the success the young cat.
The soft chirping of birds outside stirred the sleepy Pupil out of her peaceful slumber. The mixture of herbal scents filled her senses, making her sigh softly in content. The feelings of gratefulness flooded the apprentice as she stretched out lazily in her moss bed. She couldn't help but think how fortunate was she to wake up in the Witch's den. It was a feeling that never went away since her debut as the new Witch's pupil. Lost in a deep moment of reflection, she didn't remember right away of her herbal hunt but when she did, her heart dropped in fear. She suddenly sat up right, eyes sense awaken suddenly by the fear and she turned to find another empty moss bed. The Pupil stumbled out of her moss bed, swaying in a state of panic as she made her way to the entrance of the Witch's den to find the sight of her mentor sitting peaceful at the edge. "Good morning Earlybloom" The young she-cat meowed, momentarily out of breath thanks to her panic state. She cleared her throat and plopped herself at her mentor's side, her pale green eyes searching for any signs of disappointment or annoyance in her mentor's expression "Did I oversleep again?" She asked quietly, fearful of the answer she would get. Having been so scared of keeping Earlybloom waiting longer, the apprentice hadn't both to groom her messy coat, leaving her looking disheveled and feral.

[ i completely lost this thread i'm so sorry ;-; ]
"Not at all," the gray and white witch replied, voice warm. "Good morning to you as well. Did you want to eat before we set out?" The test was a big deal for both the witch and the pupil, Earlybloom very much wanted it to go well and her paws itched to begin. But she also didn't want to neglect Chestnutpaw's breakfast. They could wait a bit longer, it's not like the herbs were going anyway. "I believe a patrol just returned a few minutes ago."
(It happens! I lost it too, or else I would have tagged you to remind you! ;o;)
Before the Pupil could respond, she felt her stomach quake loudly. The tortoiseshell she-cat stared in shocked, her mouth gaping open at the loudness of her body. "Hahaha- yeah, I think that is a good idea." She meowed in embarrassment, a smile pushing back her expression as she got up to follow her mentor to the pile.

Earlybloom sat close by as she let her pupil eat, eyes closed as though in meditation. She hardly seemed to be breathing and she didn't twitch an ear when a bee buzzed passed loudly. There was silence between them as she allowed Chestnutpaw to eat, but it was comfortable between them. Once Chestnutpaw was finished Earlybloom took a deep breath and opened her eyes, finding the world momentarily too bright before she was once again able to focus on Chestnutpaw, "ready for your test?"
Chesnutpaw nodded quietly, her eyes bright with excitement, but she felt shaky with nervousness. She wasn't sure what the test would entail and it scared her. Of course, she knew nothing drastically wrong could happen, even if she did fail, but she so desperately wanted to prove to her mentor that all of her training did not go to waste. With a soft sigh, the Pupil rose to her four paws, her brows furrowed slightly with a new wave of determination "I am ready."

"Oh Chestnutpaw," Earlybloom responded, noting her pupil's obvious nervousness, "please don't worry. I wouldn't test you if I didn't believe in you. You're ready for this, okay?" She liked the determination of her pupil despite her anxiety about the test, once again reassuring the witch that she had found her perfect successor when the time came. "We'll start with some herbs that need restocked. I'll tell you their name, I need you to describe them, find them, and then tell me their uses. Got it? First up: chamomile."
