Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This is part 1 of the clan wide war plot! NightClan as part of their alliance with BrookClan and SunClan have come to conquer SpringClan in the dark of the night! They will ambush the SpringClan cats in a cloudy night, and though SpringClan will fight valiantly, they will be conquered by NightClan and forced into SunClan as per NightClan's agreement with their allied members. But in this thread there will be battle! And blood! And well you get the idea! This is primarily a battle to get SpringClan's surrender but if you have cats you want to die in this battle (and be spared the suffering they will endure in SunClan) make a note of it in your posts!
The sky was dark, the moon covered in clouds and only a few stars peeked out beneath the cloud cover. But the darkness was not a problem for the nocturnal NightClan.
Burningstar was at the front of her attacking party, this would be her first battle as leader. And admittedly a victory her could benefit NightClan, giving them a position to better get back what they wanted from SpringClan's neighbor WinterClan.
She glanced back at her warriors. "Fan out, cover every entrance, our goal is to give them nowhere to run to." She meowed, before focusing her attention on the camp, the smell of SpringClan strong in the chilly night air. "Then we will attack on my signal. Our goal is SpringClan's complete surrender. WE don't need to wipe them out, but make sure they understand who's boss." Burningstar meowed.
Frozenfire barred her teeth. Her distaste of Burningstar aside, she was looking forwards to this. Finally an opportunity for NightClan to show it's strength. Even if it was to help their allies. Frozenfire advanced on the dark camp keeping her senses peeled for any signs of guards. They would have to be subdued swiftly and quietly.
Flickerpaw felt a bit of a thrill of excitement, he remember Gravity training him for this. To cover every entrance and then strike. He hoped he could make his mentor proud with this battle tonight.
Lilywhisper was the unlucky feline who had been placed on guard duty that night. There would normally have been two guards, but what with the casualties from the cult that had taken up residence in their territory recently, their ranks had suffered quite a bit, and she'd volunteered to take the solo shift in order to let her friends get some extra sleep. She'd been half-asleep herself when she began to faintly catch the scent of a foreign Clan - a scent that seemed to be getting stronger and stronger.
"What the hell...?" she muttered, instantly awake and on her paws. "Who goes there?" Idiot, she chided herself. It's not like that's going to help anything...
For a reason he couldn't quite discern, Peachstar had been on edge all day. It was the way the air seemed to crackle with an unrecognised tension, the way the moon had seemed to be mocking him when it had rose that evening. As a result, he now laid awake in his den, as he had for what must have been hours upon hours now. Just as he was considering shutting his eyes, he heard a sudden noise, seemingly originating from just outside the camp entrance. It wasn't particularly loud, but had an unmistakeable tone of surprise to it. Was it just his imagination, or had his suspicions actually payed off for once? He narrowed his eyes, and rose to his paws to head to the center of the camp. Is it really paranoia if you're right all along?
Frozenfire saw the guard and hearing her call out to the night she rushed forwards. They needed to silence the guard quickly, so she pounced onto Lilywhisper getting onto her back and pushing her into the ground to muffle any cries or shouts she made. "Keep quiet and maybe you'll live," Frozenfire hissed, scouring her hindclaws down Lilywhispers back a warning of how serious she was of her threat.
Fernshadow seeing her aunt having pinned a cat quickly moved in to help hold the she cat down. They needed to force the guard to keep silent or else they wouldn't have time to get fully into position. So she moved to help hold down Lilywhisper's head as Frozenfire stayed on top of the guard.
Burningstar waited patiently tail flicking as she watched her cats fan out, the ginger she cat stalking towards the entrance of the camp. She could see Frozenfire and Fernshadow had pined a cat, likely the guard.
She glanced at her cats, then she lifted her tail and plunged into SpringClan's camp, leading the charge.
She was surprised to see Peachstar in the middle of camp but she let out a screech. "NightClan attack!" She ordered before launching herself at Peachstar, her cats streaming into the camp. Burningstar pounced onto Peachstar and tried to force him to the ground.
Fawnheart was sound asleep when the screeching of battling cats startled her to her paws. Suddenly panic took hold as she tried to register what was happening through the fogginess of sleep. Rushing out to the camp, she saw Burningstar pounce on Peachstar. Anger surged inside her along with fear which gave her a boost of adrenaline. She charged at Burningstar hoping to make it to her leader in time but she wasn't sure what she would do when she got there. The medicine cat had very little battle training.
Cardinalheart bolted out of the warriors' den, his bright green gaze scanning the camp quickly before leaping into action and barreling into the first NightClan cat he saw.
His movements were quick, Burningstar's word's turning his vision red. This was a moment he had been waiting for, a moment in his role as deputy to show his power. A wiry smirk wasn't shy on his face, his eyes were electrified as if it was the most fun he had in awhile. Through all that delight, his focus was zoned in. Voltfox considered himself a cat designed for battle, and while his ego was greater than his skill, it wasn't too far behind. Noticing Fawnheart charge for his leader, he reared to pivot her direction with his claws digging into the earth to propel himself even faster. His bullet-like move was perfectly planned, rushing to bash his right shoulder into the running feline to knock her to the ground as he skidded to a halt. "Not a smart move, don't you think?" His nose crinkled as his grin grew and adrenaline pumped through his veins. He knew very well who was who, and as he looked down at the medicine cat there was a mixture of amusement and pity in his glinting yellow eyes.
Lilywhisper let out a muffled shriek as she was pinned, before turning quiet as she watched the warriors pour into the SpringClan camp, one by one. She closed her eyes tightly as the noise of battle began to echo and spill even outside of the camp to her station. Was it too late, or could she still do her part to aid her Clan? "Get off!" she snarled, launching a surprisingly powerful kick at one of her attackers. It may have been suicide after Frozenfire's warning to her, but she'd rather die fighting than lay down and surrender.
"Fawnheart, go!" yelled a voice from nearby Voltfox. Lemonburst barreled into the NightClan deputy's side - and perhaps his aim hadn't been entirely perfect and he might have ended up knocking Fawnheart around more than he'd meant to, but at least he'd done something. Lemonburst may not have been in SpringClan for long, but he'd been there long enough to begin to care for his new Clanmates, and the medicine cat was no exception. "Fight me, if you really must fight someone tonight."
Peachstar growled as Burningstar tackled him, catching sight of Fawnheart and the other warriors just in the corner of his eye. He appreciated the medicine cat's attempt to help him, though perhaps he'd have to give her a few proper fighting lessons in the future. "Burningstar," he remarked, his tone cordial, but tight. He slipped out from Burningstar's grip; despite the angry red scratch beginning to ooze blood from his shoulder, he didn't make any attempt to attack the NightClan leader. Rather, he stood his ground and lifted his chin, fixing Burningstar with a glare more disappointed than it was angry. "I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting prior to tonight. If you wanted to see me, you simply could have asked politely."
Inside the nursery, Mako and Momoko were some of the first kits to wake up. "What the hell...?" Mako muttered, blinking the sleep out of her eyes and prodding the nearest queen in the the flank. "Lucas, I think something's going on..."
Lucas blinked himself awake for a few seconds before paling, gathering up the two of them in his tail and pushing them further to the back wall of the nursery. "Don't move," he told them, before unsheathing his claws. "And wake up the others, too."
Fawnheart felt Voltfox barrel into her and tumbled to the dusty ground. The wwind had been knocked from her lungs. She looked up at the Nightclan warrior, her amber eyes wide with surprise and a hint of fear. She saw Lemonburst jump to her defense and heard him tell her to flee. However, he breath was still gone and the sharp pain in her chest made it even harder to breathe.
Burningstar hesitated. Peachstar's words had a point. SpringClan had done nothing to warrant such an attack from NightClan. But the agreement she had with Kerrigan had forced this course of action... However, she wasn't about to let Peachstar in on such a fact.
So instead she flicked her tail and lifted her paw to lick off the blood she'd shed off Peachstar. "Don't take it personal." She said lightly, trying to mimic Glowstar, or how she'd imagine the DayClan leader would act. She didn't want to come off as power hungry. She didn't crave power, she craved knowledge. And the realization made her eyes light up, though to Peachstar it would look more like the NightClan leader was amused rather than her having a realization of how to play this. "I want to change the status quo a bit, joined forces with two clans, and now we're looking to have it all. Such a curious idea, isn't it? Three Clans out to take over three other clans. The bigger question though Peachstar is this. Is my clan strong enough to force yours into surrender? Or is yours strong enough to fend us off." She lowered her paw and straightened up. "Don't worry we're not out to wipe you out. But this is the question I wish to have answered this evening. It's up to you Peachstar, is your clan strong enough to repel us? Or would you rather save yourself some trouble and surrender?" She asked crouching preparing herself for his response.
Frozenfire snarled as she was knocked off Fernshadow struggling to force Lilywhispers muzzled back into the dirt as Frozenfire recovered. "Oh now you're in for it!" The gray she cat snarled jumping back onto Lilywhisper and biting down on the she cat's shoulder, "Fernshadow, go assist the others. I'm going to deal with this one." Frozenfire hissed digging her claws into Lilywhisper while Fernshadow released the she cat stepping back a moment before she turned and went into the camp.
Squirrelleap was the cat whom Cardinalheart attacked, snarling the brown tabby tom rolled with Cardinalheart winding up underneath, but he slammed his back legs into Cardinalheart's belly to fling him off.
Spring:
Lightstep awoken by Burningstar's yowl and Cardinalheart bolting out from his spot beside her, got to her paws and hurried out. Spying Fawnheart lying winded the gray tabby quickly hurried over to her and seized her by the scruff of her neck and pulled her out of the way.
NightClan "Gladly. It's more fun when your opponent can actually fight back," Voltfox sneered as he braced and began his counter against Lemonburst, a swipe with extended claws aimed to the left side of his head. If the warrior truly wanted a fight, he'd have one. But he'd find no mercy in the warmind that he chose to face. He didn't hesitate to lunge forward with his teeth bared, ready to tear at any flesh he could get his jaw around.
Cardinalheart growled in surprise when Squirrelleap slammed his hind legs into his stomach, but he didn't budge, instead he raked his claws down the NightClan cat's exposed stomach, before leaping away from the tom before he had the chance to hit him in the stomach again. Cardinalheart dropped into a crouch, his green gaze intently staring at Squirrelleap, waiting for his next move.
Voltfox's words rang in her mind *Its more fun when an opponent can actually fight back* He was right. She could hardly fight. She had very little battle experience and she couldn't even defend herself. However, anger built up inside and she stood up, spun around and shoved Voltfox much harder than Fawnheart meant to.

Peachstar took a second to look Burningstar in the eye. He'd seen a similar split second of hesitation in her gaze, but there was no sign of it now. Perhaps it was none of his business to know why this had to happen. This is just how the world works sometimes. You knew this when you became leader, after all...
"We won't, then," he declared, taking a slow breath. "Take it personally, I mean." From nearby, he could see a tired-looking Fawnheart suddenly ram herself into the NightClan deputy. Alarm bells of oh StarClan, our medicine cat is gonna get absolutely destroyed began to ring in his head, but he had to admit, it had been very inspiring to see. Well, that settles it. "And we won't surrender just yet, either," he snarled, leaping at Burningstar with his claws unsheathed.
Lilywhisper's eyes widened, hissing as the NightClan warrior's teeth sunk into her shoulder - though she did have to admit, seeing Frozenfire lose her cool had been kind of worth it. "Deal with me?" she hissed, still wincing from the pain. She'd never been good at keeping a straight face in battle. "What does that mean?"
Lemonburst grunted as Voltfox's claws scratched at the side of his face, drips of blood spraying in a nigh-perfect arc into the air as he dodged back. He was about to try and land a blow to the deputy's flank when a sudden force barreled into both of them; letting out a soft grunt, he skidded across the ground and hissed. "What the hell...?" he muttered, catching sight of Fawnheart and realising what the medicine cat had just done - which would have been very cool, if not for the fact that Lemonburst was terrified the she-cat was going to meet a very untimely death if she continued on the way she was now. "I said run, didn't I?!"
Fawnheart stood there panting, eyes wide, as she stared at Lemonburst. What had she done? Medicine cats werent suppose to fight but she had let her anger get the best of her. She knew this cat could kill her and Lemonburst was trying to save her life. She would feel awful terrible if she had died while her clanmate was trying to save her because she had done something mouse-brained. Before Voltfox could react, Fawnheart turned tail and headed for where she belonged, the medicine den. She had to make sure she had all of her supplies ready but she feared after what she did to the Nightclan deputy that Voltfox would surely come after her or at least seek revenge later. She dared herself to look back as she fled to make sure she wasnt being followed.
“Don’t worry Fawnheart, i’ve Got your back!” Lightstep meowed taking up a position near the entrance of the Medicine cat den ready to defend her if anyone tried anything.

Squirrelleap grunted rolling over some blood dripping from a cut in his belly, but despite a few drops of blood spattering the ground as he shook himself it was fortunately not too severe. The brown tabby Tom glowered at Cardinalheart before darting forwards feinting with a right claw swipe and instead bringing down his left forepaw on Cardinalheart’s Head.
///——///
“You were warned of the consequences,” Frozenfire hissed eyes gleaming as she pulled back teeth barred bloody from the blood she’d drawn from Lilywhisper. “Now you’ll suffer them,” snarling Frozenfire lashing out with her claws scoring at Lilywhisper’s side.
///——-///
Burningstar ducked to the side letting Peachstar soar over her the ginger leader twisting and seizing a back leg yanking him down and backwards. Trying to maneuver him to where she could pin him down and score her claws down his back. Not fatal but painful.
"Thank you!" Fawnheart meowed, relief in her voice. She squeezed into the medicine den and began gathering everything she needed, thankful that Lightstep had offered protection.
He was huddled against the wall just inside the medicine den, potentially hidden from the casual glance if not for the white that dominated most of his pelt. He had scrambled clumsily to his paws the same time his mentor did, hurrying automatically after her as she bolted from the den. But he had frozen at the entrance, mismatched eyes wide as he saw NightClan shadows swarm over his Clanmates. He had never seen anything like this in his short life, probably had even less training in combat than his mentor. An aversion to fighting was part of why he chose the path he did.
Fear had sparked bright in Whitepaw's eyes, Fawnheart's name tearing itself from his throat before he could stop himself as the medicine cat was attacked by Voltfox. He held his breath when she turned to attack the NightClan tom again, only shakily letting it out as she whirled around to head back for the medicine den. He watched her for a moment, still frozen in his half-crouched position, but as she started gathering herbs together he got to his paws, rushing towards her. "What're we going to do?" he asked, trying to maintain a whisper despite his voice pitching up towards a wail near the end.
Fawnheart turned to her apprentice, her eyes soft, "I just need you to remain calm. I need you to be strong for me and I need your help. Do you think you can do that for me?" She knew Whitepaw was frightened. She could see it in his eyes but she needed him to have a level head in stressful situations. This was a lesson he needed to learn, however, she didnt expect it to be so soon.
nightclan Truthfully, he was a bit blindsided and appalled by Fawnheart's attempt to intervene once more. As he recovered and Lemonburst ordered her to go, Voltfox frown turned back to a grin. SpringClan was definitely willing to put up a fight, even if it would end up being a feeble attempt. Their willingness to defend was refreshing from a clan some liked to call soft. He wouldn't go as far as to acknowledge it, but there was just a shred of respect that medicine cat earned in his eyes. If only her physical strength and skill met her will. Looking back at Lemonburst, he was reignited once more and leapt at him. He about threw in another remark, but he was needing better focus, instead putting his thoughts into prepping for Lemonburst's possible counter.
He glanced back over his shoulder as Fawnheart spoke, staring at what small part of the battle he could see through the den's entrance and past Lightstep. His ears pressed flat against his head, as if it could drown out the screeching of fighting cats, before he looked back at his mentor. "I-I can try," he replied softly, moving to stand beside her. "What do you, um, need my help with?" His attention turned onto the herbs, a shaky paw reaching out to brush lightly against a pile. StarClan, why couldn't this battle have been after he learned to recognize any herbs? At least focusing on helping Fawnheart could distract him from the rising scent of blood in the air.
