"Relax. I got nothing planned." Funk's tail flicked as Duskslayer moved away from him. Sure, it was one way to get back at Sean and Shule, but that was messing with Innocentia's adopted son. And he already got a bad scolding when he brought orange flowers for the pretty pink torture chamber. That was its own torture and he left unscathed. He'd come up with something another day. The more Dusk talked, the more he figured there was no way to get both happy.
"Technically, you're not my hunter. So I can't really tell you what to do. Besides, if I commanded you to do it, I don't think it'd be what Innocentia wants." He spoke idly, not moving to close the distance between them. Instead, he lightly tapped a claw against his chin. If Inno wanted him to force Dusk, he could. But it was better to ere on the side of caution. "She wants you to become a killer and all that. Conversation topics really dying between you two, huh?"
"She invested a lot of time training me and knows I have a lot of Eerie secrets to contribute, but I'm letting her down by remaining neutral. Even though I want to please her, if I did kill someone right before her eyes I don't know if I could hide the guilt I would feel for that person, it would ruin the moment. Not that I think I'd be sobbing over a corpse or anything, but I would feel sick inside towards myself. But maybe you're right, I could at least try, I would just feel incredibly insane if my biological parents found out," Duskslayer admitted before looking up at Funk, "But Senescence, Zakiyyah, and Kotori would know and I don't want either of them to ever know about this."

Funk rubbed the scarf he wore as he thought. What was he even getting involved with? It was all stuff he didn't understand. Though his family was never as big as Duskslayers, the number of eyes on him was less. He couldn't imagine anything breaking the joy in killing someone. The studies were right, it was all about control. And when you craved it, there was nothing else you needed more.
"In the end, it comes down to you. I can make sure no one but you, Innocentia and I. And it'll be safe with the two of us. But what matters more to you? Pleasing Innocentia or disappointing your family?" Well, he would try. It was hard to hide things from Senescence, but he could think of the places she didn't check as often. He could force Duskslayer's paw, but if he couldn't carry that weight, he is better off as he is now. This was a place where it was light as a feather, but he was separated from that world.
Duskslayer hesitantly looked at Funk E'tan and then back down at his white paws, "Okay," He agreed, "I don't want to keep letting her down so I'll do it." He tried to maintain a neutral expression, but couldn't hide the defeated look in his eyes from being worn down by this topic so many times before Funk E'tan had even approached him, "Where is my mother at anyways?"

Funk merely waited, studying the feeling of his muscles stretching as his claws came out. Swiveling an ear, he listened before nodding. He'd be lying if he wasn't relieved, not having to be the messenger of bad news for Innocentia. Duskslayer played with his eyes a little too clear, Funk chose to ignore it. "Very well. She took your words to heart and has been trying to find someone suitable for you. Let me go down and check on her." A prisoner would have to do, there was no way this Xuxa would work. He quickly rose from his place and started making his way back into the prison.
Duskslayer watched Funk E'tan leave and sat down waiting for him, his gaze occasionally flicking to the side at the slightest noise. But something in the distance seemed to catch his attention.
When Funk E'tan got to the prison it was just prisoners, Innocentia had left to go to Renegade Regime to claim her prize winning victim with Lucistic there to carry her back so she had yet to return. From the top of the prison Duskslayer called down to Funk E'tan, "So wait, is my mother down there or is she not?"

Sure, Funk E'tan figured she'd just be getting back. Or something else preferably. But the prison was as empty as ever. He bit his lip as he thought. The plan was already not gonna work, and he knew that if Duskslayer killed when Innocentia wasn't here, he wouldn't get to live to hear the end of it. Least, that's how he figured all these things would go. None of the prisoners met his eyes, not that he could really see them anyway. And of course, Duskslayer would ask questions, the one thing he wishes he didn't. Have they never considered he left things vague on purpose? "Huh? None of you guys made the cut? I'm a little disappointed." His words only echoed off the wall, no one had the strength or the guts to argue with him. "Doesn't look like it... I wonder where she went." He hummed.
(We can start this back up again! It can take place where they've been looking for Innocentia for a while and it's become increasingly concerning as she's been missing for a while. I'll invite Jadie once the scene we need her in comes up ^-^)
Duskslayer at this point had wandered into Renegade Regime territory searching for Innocentia, which although distant from where the league sat was a good call. He had picked up her scent and knew he w as close. He looked back at Funk E'tan, "I can't tell if it's coming from the north or west perimeter, could you maybe check up ahead and I'll take the west side?"

(okay ^^)
Okay, he knew this was going to take a while. But he didn't expect a sudden adventure with Duskslayer all the way to Regime territory. Funk would give Lucistic a word later. Still, it wasn't all bad. Cept for the random holes that littered the ground and his paws caught in. Dusk was right, they were close. Even he could pick up the scent. The place was almost too flat, wind too broad to give them a better direction. "Sure." Funk said before climbing over the small ridges that laid northward.
Funk E'tan didn't have to walk long before stumbling across Innocentia. She was lying low beneath a bush, her tail twitching with excitement at whatever she was watching. Suddenly she must have got the feeling someone was watching her and noticed Funk E'tan, "Hey, duck down," She whispered with squeaky excitement, "There's about to be a fight and I can't wait to watch it."
In the short distance Innocentia had been watching Xuxa stalk Cadet Louella. The Regime spy was skilled enough to know how to remain undetected. Usually she stank like a smelly bog, but because of how high the winds were blowing towards her and with Cadet Louella at the opposite end this made things better. Xuxa's paws turned in the snow bracing herself mentally. She had just been exiled from Renegade Regime, after all she did for them she was banished. Now spotting this wayward cadet who wasn't even loyal to the Regime she knew she had to do one last act of kindness of the Regime. Even if it wasn't the Regime she knew. Xuxa sprang forward storming right into Cadet Louella, claws unsheathed and striking right into her throat. Everything about this moment was as sudden as thunder in a cloudless sky. Her grandmother Eclipse would be proud.
Cadet Louella was at a crossroads. She'd spent equal parts of her short life in three different groups - Primal Instinct, Renegade Regime and WinterClan - and was feeling... what, forlorn? Unfulfilled? These emotions didn't come easy to her but then again she rarely had so much quiet time. Most of the Regime cats had ignored her since her return from imprisonment in WinterClan. She was an easy scapegoat for the whole ordeal not only because she was an outsider but also because she the first one to start attacking. No one mistreated Cadet Louella now that she was back, but she'd have to be blind not to notice the sideways glares and the hush that followed her when she entered a new room. It didn't hurt her pride, she stood by what she did, but it was annoying. This group was too structured and judgmental for her liking but on the other hand she was looked after well. All she had to do was her job and someone else took care of the rest. It was a much easier life than what she remembered of the League, but the cost of security was freedom and she wasn't so sure which was worse.
The cinnamon tabby she-cat was supposed to be hunting right now but her heart wasn't in it. She switched from Scout Cadet to Mercenary Cadet, so hunting was no longer in her job description and, besides, she needed to lose some weight to recover her slim figure after her time in WinterClan. Still, Cadet Louella was going through the motions because in the famine it was expected of her: she closed her eyes and tasted the air for prey. The second she breathed in her senses were assaulted with an acrid odor and with no other warning she felt the pressure of another cat's claws against her neck. Her pale blue eyes snapped open but her scream was choked off as the attacking cat raked her claws across her throat. Cadet Louella was thrown a couple tail-lengths back into a crumpled heap, blood pouring from the wound, and let out a vicious hiss as her eyes settled on Xuxa. The cat Cadet Zion had warned her about. She was immediately well aware that this was a fight for her life. The young she-cat unsheathed her claws and took up a crude defensive pose, her back arching to make herself look bigger, her eyes as frigid as chips of ice that they so resembled. Cadet Louella wasn't stupid. She was smaller, inexperienced and likely critically wounded already. She was going to lose. Her only hope was to keep Xuxa at bay until someone else could save her.
"Poor little Xuxa, taking your frustrations out of me? It's not my fault you got yourself exiled. I'll make sure each of your precious kits have a scar to match yours if you so much as touch another tuft of fur on my pelt. Now get out of here before the rest of my patrol catches up."
OOC: Louella was one of the kits Lorah kidnapped because she resembles Eshek [Link]. Not sure if that would be significant here or not but FYI
Xuxa was more feral than she was rational, the sad part is she wasn't always that way.
Her claws ground into Cadet Louella's shoulder, forcing her down. Her breath was so heavily it felt as hot as the spring air around them.
Back when she was a kit she watched her mother slaughtered by Kotori's claws. He was the sentinels son, sentenced to execution and yet mysteriously escaped. Someone let him out, it was impossible for him to make it out of there alive. She knew deep down it was Shule or Sean and so did her grandmother Eclipse. Eclipse was one of the few people who could see through the Eerie family from the start. Now they were an infestation on the Regime, if her grandmother was still here she would be saddened at how tarnished the place had become.
She lifted her claw up high before tear it hard into Cadet Louella's left ear in an attempt to tear it wide open. She wasn't just trying to kill her, she wanted her to be a maimed ugly corpse by the end of this.

"A fight?" Funk E'tan whispered, more to himself than to Innocentia as he slunk along the ground till he met her. The first thing that caught his attention was the smell, of each of Xuxa's wounds. It astounded him, as a scientist. How did they not heal? What exactly caused them? He had no idea he would have no chance to ask, but didn't rise from his spot. The second was the kit. He vaguely recognized her. "Isn't that one of Lorah's?" This time he meant for the question to be answered. Course, he knew of the supposed story of how the tortoiseshell found them all. The resemblance was uncanny, a bit too much as he just watched Xuxa jump to attack her. It wasn't his place...
Cadet Louella leaned back as far as she could manage but it was not enough and she soon she felt Xuxa's razor-like claws tear at her ear. Her taunts had done nothing, in fact, Xuxa was so enraged that it seemed she hadn't even heard the cadet's words at all. She bit her tongue as she successfully managed to choke back a scream but felt bile raising in the back of her throat as fear started to make her paws shake. A low growl soon followed as she unsheathed her own claws and lashed out blindly at Xuxa, but it was to little avail, the other she-cat was a friend of pain and Louella was being sloppy in her panic, "What in the world do you have to gain in killing me? Exile is one thing but do you really want to be dead?" She spoke fast, scrambling for something, anything, to offset her attacker. The fact that Xuxa went for her ear instead of her throat when she very well could have made a killing blow meant that she either had reservations about this assault or was planning to draw it out. One look in the russian blue she-cat's eyes made it clear to Louella, "You're a freak, you know that? Always gloom and doom. I can't believe you're a mother, no wonder Shule kicked you out. She doesn't want such a failure raising the next generation of the Regime. I guess it means she saw something in those kits of yours that was worth saving from their pitiful mother, you should take it as a compliment." If only she could get Xuxa talking, maybe, maybe she could find a way out of this. Later she would regret this choice.
Innocentia shrugged at Funk E'tan, "I don't remember that kind of stuff," She replied, nonchalantly, "But that cat fighting the kid is one I tortured years ago. She was a cadet spying the league and was a good demonstration to teach Elyon some moves," She purred mischievously, "It's interesting to see her do the same thing I did to her to a cadet, such potential."
"You think they'll care about some feral little nobody like you? They didn't care about ME and I was born there." She hissed. However at Cadet Louella's next comment her eyes teared up with pain, hatred welling up in her blazing violet eyes, but there was no further response. She didn't argue because she knew she could win more fights with her claws than words. Xuxa gripped onto the side of Cadet Louella's head crushing her head into the ground forcing her vision to waver. Stunning her she got on top of her, her claws whipping into her flesh. She was hardly giving the smaller cadet a fighting chance by pinning her with her weight.
(If you want her to have more of a fighting chance let me know, I know you wanted Louella to get badly injured so that's why I'm over replying a little in combat xD)
"It's---" But she wasn't given enough time to flesh out her retort as Xuxa slammed her head against the ground. Cadet Louella could feel blood vessels popping behind her eyes and almost immediately pin pricks of red discolored the sclera. Seeing stars, she blindly put her paws out to try and protect her throat, which unfortunately turned out to not even be the main target of the exiled spy's assault.
Louella had done such a good job holding back her screams but now she totally let go, filling the air with horrible caterwauls that could only be loosed from a cornered and dying animal. She scratched at whatever bit of flesh she could find but Xuxa had her totally pinned to the ground: There was little she could do against such a fearsome opponent. A particularly deep cut against her shoulder was the final straw. Warm blood dampened her cream-color pelt and, finally realizing that if someone didn't save her she'd die, the she-cat finally called out, "SOMEONE, HELP ME!"

"I see." Funk droned, barely stifling a yawn. Even as the shrieks of the cadet filled the air, he didn't move. Nah, not really his scene to try and interfere. It was nothing compared to how the League was. "Wonder if she'll really kill her?" The Nemesis wondered, though he wasn't that invested as his gaze went over to some twirling grass.
"Of course she will, what's the sense in mauling someone you don't even know? I'd always kill someone I don't know, it's just proper etiquette," Innocentia said as though she were explaining how to host a fancy tea party.
Xuxa leaned her muzzle down across Cadet Louella's back gripping onto her fur as she violently began to tear her apart. She wasn't even trying to kill her in any particular way, only waiting for the torment to end in a slaughter. She wanted Renegade to find Cadet Louella and wonder who it was, deform her, make it impossible to bury her. Anything to show off her skill, anything to show the Regime the Spy they missed out on having. Feeling relatively safe that Cadet Louella wouldn't be able to escape even if she tried in her gory state she flipped Cadet Louella over as easily as a kit. Her claws sank into her arms while her cobalt blue eyes stared at her exposed belly.
Xuxa bit down hard, a rush of blood flew past her, but the exhilaration was short lived as her teeth made contact with bone instead of the squishy flesh of her belly. With a growl she released, but even as her gaze was about to look at what went wrong she was knocked to the ground.
Duskslayer stood over Cadet Louella, his front right leg was bit into rather than Cadet Louella's stomach. His thick tail lashed, but there were no words said, his eyes spoke for themselves, leave. But Xuxa took the glare as a challenge, with a roar she bolted forward again, but not even at Duskslayer. She was running towards Cadet Louella. Once more Duskslayer grabbed Xuxa by the scruff attempting to throw her back, but Xuxa was determined to die finishing her kill. Every deflection was met by a strong resistance, she was almost like a spider, capable of crawling over Duskslayer if it meant getting to Cadet Louella.
Cadet Louella's vision was blurry from her own blood spilling into her eyes. At some point she quit feeling the sting of Xuxa's claws, just pressure. She was sliding against the forest floor now, her own blood making the grass slick, her baby blue eyes resting blankly on the canopy above. She didn't believe in StarClan or the Blind Protector or any of the stupid Gods, they had never helped her before so why would they now. That meant that this was it. She was going to die and what would follow was nothing. Fitting, since she'd accomplished nothing in her life and would be missed by no one expect maybe some stupid white-furred tom. Turned out he was right after all. Louella hoped he never found out about her fate.
But then the pressure abruptly stopped. Was Xuxa done? No, Louella still had life in her, and she was certain the Regime she-cat intended to take her attack well past that. Feebly she lifted her paw to one of her eyes and cleared her vision just enough to see another Regime cat, Duskslayer, come to her aid. Except even he couldn't keep her occupied for long, she'd parry and get a score into Louella's flesh before his next attack landed. Was he... hesitating...? Gathering up the remainder of her energy, Loulla cleared her throat just enough to croak out, "She won't stop unless she's dead."
