Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Chim knew better than to question his luck, most of the time anyway, but he couldn't shake the feeling all of this was so strange. His first clan had nearly fallen apart when he was named deputy, much less leader; how could cats now choose to band together and follow him into unknown territory? Where had all the trust come from? He understood why his family came with him, but not the loners and rogues that had come to join the clan, the ones that had no direct connection to his family.
Chim sought them out. He rested in the edge of camp until he spotted Daisypaw approaching, where he waved his tail in a lazy greeting. "Hey, come over here for a minute," he called, "I want to talk." He needed to get her a mentor soon anyway.
Daisypaw hadn't been around long, in fact, it had been about forty-three and a half hours since she came stumbling into the territory. That wasn't her best look, crying and snotty because she was lost, but in the last forty-three-and-a-half hours, she'd had plenty of time to think, and in that time to think, the little thing had decided maybe this was for the best, anyways. After all, there was something exciting of living with a band of cats that she didn't know, even if she was relatively shy and generally didn't know what was going on. Because she hadn't been around long, it was sort of surprising for her that she was being summoned by Chimerastar, but she didn't really understand much about being in a clan, so maybe there was some weird innitiation that she had to go through before she could become a real SwiftClan cat!
She padded up to him, trying to look as big and efficient as possible, even though she was in an awkward growth spurt and had a generally glazed look in her eye. "Yes, sir!" she meowed as she approached him. "I am ready to hear whatever wisdoms you have in store for me, Chimerastar, sir!" Once, she had been told to flatter cats in power so that they would like her. The lesson had been taught to her so that she hadn't made the old elder who lived next door to her back in her old life mad, but maybe it was applicable now, too?
