Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Discordantpaw shrugged, not that Satinpaw would have been able to see it in the darkness, "Don't you like a little bit of adventure? Sometimes I forget that you are the snooty type. I like to get my paws wet while you like to pick the straw out of your fur. It takes all types!" The calico she-cat was humming quietly now as she lead Satinpaw deeper and deeper into the maze. She twisted and turned around corners as if she knew them by heart, which she didn't, she was just confident about making mistakes. It was becoming increasingly apparent that she wasn't really looking for Buzzingkit based purely on how quickly she was moving. Discordantpaw stopped suddenly at a crossroads and yawned, "Yep, that should do it. See you around Satinpaw. Wish me luck!" With that, she bolted down a pathway and disappeared into the darkness almost as if she had never been there at all, leaving Satinpaw totally and utterly alone in the pitch blackness.
The fluffy siamese she-cat had to grit her teeth as to not shoot some snarky response back at Discordantpaw. She knew the she-cat was only trying to get a rise out of her, something Satinpaw wouldn't give her the satisfaction of. She had to hurry to keep pace with the older apprentice, worry pricking at the back of her mind, weren't they going too fast? Before she could out right as her companion what game she was really playing at she was gone. At first Satinpaw just stood there in the dark with her mouth agape, not that anyone would actually be around to see it. Her mind began to race, along with her heart as the first signs of panic set in. Which way had they come in? How many turns did they take? She hadn't been paying attention and had relied solely on the other she-cat to lead her into the dark. The Dark. It was just now clicking for the young apprentice just how dark it was in the tunnels. Her heart began to pound, the sound raged deafeningly in her ears and she felt her fur begin to stand on end. The temperature of the tunnels only increased with her fear. How was she going to find her way out of these tunnels? She had never been out at night let alone in the complete blackness of the tunnels. A sickening feeling sank into her stomach like she had swallowed a ball of ice, chilling her to the bone. Could the sun god even see her in here?
Panic turned to hysteria as she began to run blindly through the dark tunnels. She had no idea where she was going but, she feared what else could potentially be waiting in the dark to jump out at her. "HELP!" She cried though, she had no way of knowing if anyone was even around to hear her pleas for help. Tears welled up in her eyes and streaked down her face, at least in the dark no one could see her cry.
Had Satinpaw not been panicking, maybe she wound have heard the quiet drip drip of water, or tasted the faint earthy scent in the air, both of which would have given her a little warning to slow down and think. Unfortunately, it was only when the rock floor beneath her became slick with moisture did she realize she had entered a new part of the cave system. It was too late to react - the seal point she-cat slipped and fell down a hole she could not have possibly seen, which turned out to be something like a slide, sending her deeper and deeper into the darkness until she hit something hard... but also soft. --- Bloodyrondo had heard echoes of a she-cat's call. He could not decipher her words, but he was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Getting to her, though, was easier said than done. The ginger tom had done some exploration of these tunnels ahead of time but only gotten lost. The Priest Promised had decided to give up on making a mental map and leave it to fate after that never-ending evening. Presently he noticed that the air was getting thicker the louder the voice got. Humidity? His nose also picked up... the smell of moss? Bloodyrondo had never heard anyone speak of water down here so it made him a little nervous. If these caves flooded, there would be no surviving it, but he was confident the Sun God would protect him should anything like that arise.
His whiskers brushed a corner and suddenly the she-cat's call intensified. It came to him echo-y but he could tell that she was upset. He turned to face her direction only to be hit and pushed up against the wall. The she-cat. His heart began to race. Bloodyrondo wasn't all that sure that he was going to find her: These caves were like mazes and, after splitting up with the rest of the toms, he had not seen or smelled another soul for some time. But he had found her! Rather, she found him. His date smelled extremely afraid and he embraced her without hesitation, "It's okay, I'm here, what's wrong?" He said nervously, not quite his usual confident self. Had this been any other event he probably would have insulted whoever ran into him, "You're not hurt, are you?"
Names were running through his head as he tried to figure out who this she-cat was. She was a little small but that wasn't unusual for SunClan. Her fur was very plush and soft to the touch, softer than even his own pelt, and he could tell she put a lot of effort into keeping it well maintained. That was a plus. That was all he could gather from her in this darkness, though...

If the utter darkness wasn't disorienting enough, the slide down sure was. The poor thing didn't even have time to scream as the ground fell out from under her. She was certain she would die of fright if falling didn't kill her. Lucky for her it was more of a slide. Still stunned into silence she slid helplessly until she collided into... something? No, someone. She wasn't sure if she should be relived or not. Letting out a choked sob she buried her face into the fur that tickled her nose when she'd finally come to a full stop. His comforting embrace was more than welcome as Satinpaw attempted to compose herself. She knew from his scent that he was thankfully, a clan mate and not just some tunnel dwelling creep that she just latched onto out of fear. His voice was comforting, and familiar yet she still couldn't place him. In her defense she hadn't been apprenticed very long and wasn't completely familiar will all of her clan mates. Something she'd surely have to remedy after this.
"N-no, I'm okay" she replied shakily into his fur. After several moment she pulled away from him having calmed down a bit from the fright she had. It was still horrifyingly dark, and she wasn't willing to step to far away from him. "I don't like the dark" she confessed, trying to sound a little more confident, though after crying into his fur like a helpless kit, it was probably too late to try and save face in this moment.
Bloodyrondo nuzzled her soft fur one more time, wishing that he could see her face, peer into her eyes, you know, all those lovey-dovey cliches that made a normal person go "Awww." She seemed to be an absolute darling of a cat. He just knew it in his heart. That sweet little bell of a voice. The way her body quivered and melted into his for protection. All of it. The saying was supposed to be love at first sight, but... they also said love was blind, too. His head had been resting atop hers, his eyes closed tight, purring quietly. Bloodyrondo had never really been embraced like this before. He shifted his body closer to hers and opened his eyes uncionsciously when he did, expecting darkness but... wait... was something glowing?
When Bloodyrondo had been thrown against the rock wall, he had irritated the moss that cloaked it. To his shock and awe the plant was ablaze with an eerie but beautiful pale green light. It was brightest where he had touched the wall but was spreading out as far as he could see in all directions. Above, below, the moss was thicker in some places than others but the entire place had an otherworldly glow. Satinpaw's eyes were fuzzy with tears so he wiped them away with his tail. He wanted to step back to give the young she-cat a better view but just couldn't bear to pull himself away. The ginger tom's whiskers brushed against Satinpaw's ears and he gently said, "Open your eyes."
(is this plant an actual thing? I don't know but we'll have fun with it lol. they won't be able to find this place in the future, this is a one-time deal)
It was a simple command, and though Satinpaw usually despised appealing to any form of authority save her parents, she couldn't help but oblige. Something about the soft tone of his voice made her want to trust him, so she did. She opened her eyes slowly at first, then when she realized what she was looking at her eyes widened in awe. Her blue eyes illuminated by the luminescence of the plant, making them appear teal in comparison. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and her fear of the dark was temporarily forgotten. She almost couldn't tear her gaze away from the light, oh but was she glad when she did. Her gaze shifted away from the plant to look at the tom, who she could now recognize in the faint light. She opened her mouth to speak but, shut it almost instantly as the words died in her throat. His eyes, which were usually pale green were now glowing almost the same shade of pale green as the light emanating from the plant it's self. In this moment she couldn't bring herself to look away from him. Thousands of thoughts swirled in her mind as she scrambled for something say. "Thank you" she whispered.
"For what? Silly." Bloodyrondo kissed the top of Satinpaw's head then stood up. The moss's glow was growing stronger in one direction and he looked to Satinpaw with adventure in his expression. They had to find out where this lead. He searched her eyes to see if she was up to it, shining a brilliant teal, and finally realized who she was.
If they had been somewhere less magical perhaps he would have been more hestitant. Littlestar took protectiveness to a whole new level with her kits, not to mention the fact that this she-cat was too young to even participate in most of the Romance Festival events. But the Sun God brought them together, here in this hidden, underground garden, and he could not deny the instant connection they shred, "Let's see where this leads. We may have found each other, but we still have to find our way out."
Purring, he took a step ahead, but came to a complete stop to wait for her to follow.

On another note, Moonlitnocturne kept his light tail pressed against the wall. Trying his best to draw a mental map, he saw a flash of light and poked his head out at it. Of course, he was deeper in Sunclan's territory. His cream ears flattened against his head and he let out a sigh, pulling himself back into the tunnels to keep looking.
