Be sure to find the perfect gift for that perfect special someone in your character's life. Each character will be able to give their significant other/crush a special gift for a total of 20 points. If your gift is very thoughtful/creative you may even be able to earn up to 10 bonus points by SC staff 

--->Fertility Herbs  

Bloodyrondo and Littlestar will be passing out fertility herbs to any couples/individuals that are hoping to conceive during the romance festival. Have your character visit Littlestar and take the herbs/receive a quick physical and receive 15 points. You may reply to THIS thread, or create a private thread tagging racer or Jadie. If you make a private thread please be sure to link it on this thread or it will not be counted.  

Autumngossamer will be giving out bone readings about your love life. Go and ask the Soothsayers a question on THIS thread in order to receive an extra 15 points. Points will only be given to characters that actually receive their readings and respond to it in an appropriate manner. These questions can be as creative as you wish from 'will I find true love' to 'how many kits will my mate have'. Be sure to pm one of the soothsayers with how you would like your readings to be answered.  

---->New Couples  

New couples that get together during the romance festival will receive an extra 10 points, so get out there and find yourself a mate/fling. These points will not be given out to couples that are already together, as the goal is to get more litters/families in SunClan.   

I encourage everyone to create a date thread for their couples. You will receive one point for every reply to your date thread that is more than five sentences. You may only make one thread per couple/fling and you must have the other person respond between each of your replies. You will need to work with your mate/fling in order to get the most points. Threads started before this thread was created will not count, and any posts made after the month ends will also not count. You may earn up to 10 bonus points given be SC staff for unique date ideas, cute moments, ext. 

If your character becomes pregnant during the Romance Festival than you will receive 20 points when they tell their mate/fling the exciting news. Any Kitting threads made during the romance festival will also get you 5 points for every kit that is successfully adopted and added to the SunClan joining thread. You will also receive the same amount of points if your couple decides to adopt a litter of kits and bring them to SunClan(one litter limit per character) 

Don't have a mate within SunClan? Don't worry. if you are able to convince your mate/fling to join SunClan and undertake initiation for the September ceremonies you will receive 40 points. 

On this thread sign your single cats for a blind date. Autumngossamer will pair them up with another single cat and create a date thread for the two of them. This is perfect for those that are having trouble finding a mate, or just want to add a little spice to their life. If your character goes on a blind date you will receive 30 points. If the two characters end up dating you will receive 50 points. 

as the sun begins to rise, single toms will enter into the maze of tunnels near the Janus camp while the single females enter into the tunnels near SunClan's main camp. It is said that if you come across another single cat in the tunnels that you are fated to be together. Couples that meet up in the tunnels spend time getting to know one another, before the mate choosing ceremony at sunset. Single cats that participate in the singles mingle will get 20 points  LINK

As the sun begins to fade, the single cats gather where the sunflower fields begins at the edge of the ceremony springs to begin the mate choosing ceremony. When the last rays of the sun disappear, the she-cats are given a head start and race back towards SunClan's camp. The toms are released soon afterwards to chase after them. Their goal is to catch up to the she-cat of their dreams and to pin them. No cat is forced to participate in this ceremony, and the she-cat can reject any tom even if they manage to capture her. This ceremony is meant for toms to show which she-cat(s) they are most interested in, and so that the she-cats can assess their skills. It is a great opportunity for both guys and gals to show off their skills. Once the she-cat has been pinned, if she accepts the tom as her mate she will press her nose against his and the pair will spend the night alone together somewhere out in the territory. For cats that are gay/bi, there is no rules to prevent them from going after the cat of their dreams during this ceremony. It works the same way, but the cats are still released into the sunflower fields based on gender. If the cat rejects their potential mate, then they must release the cat they pinned and the cat continues on their way back to camp and other cats may try to win their favor. Couples that are paired during the ceremony are considered engaged, and will begin preparing to tie the knot and make it official.

Family is very important to SunClan, so one tradition that helps being the families of SunClan closer together is mommy and me and daddy an me dates. Each parent takes their kit out on a special 'date'. This could be a hunting trip, a camping trip, or even as simple as just eating a meal together. This bonding time is considered very important between parent and child, and used to catch up on current events going on in each other's lives. For each of these your character goes on you will receive 20 points. 


--->Tying The Knot Ceremony
This ceremony is similar to a marriage ceremony in humans. It binds the souls of cats together, even when they pass on. It is not a ceremony to enter into lightly, for it can not be undone and even if your mate has passed away your cat will be unable to take on another mate or lover. This year will be the first time this ceremony has been conducted in a long time. For more info about this ceremony see the clan page.
