Basiliskvenom's question made her pause and she jabbed at their meal in something similar to embarrassment, "I think we should go and see Earlybloom."
"Earlybloom? What's the matter Stormsurge, why would you need to see the witch?" It obviously hadn't dawned on him yet, he hadn't made the connection between now and how she had behaved with their last litter, but he had never been to good at noticing things such as that. So with a worried look on his face, he stood, the bird forgotten at his paws.

"Calm down," she meowed, half-gruff, half-amused. "I'm pretty sure I'm expecting kits, I need Earlybloom to confirm it." Stormsurge nosed the bird back to him, "sit and eat, she'll see me after our meal."
The toms eyes instantly lit up, though he was unable to shake the worry that lingered at the back of his mind. "Kits? do you really think so?" in the middle of his mixture of feeling he began to laugh, loud and booming. They had talked about it and had been trying but even knowing that it and even already having been through this with their previous litter it felt knew and exciting.

Stormsurge was pleased he seemed happy, "yes, I really thing so. We're going to have more kits! Strong, noble kits that will make WinterClan stronger." The queen took another bite of the bird before again shoving it to her mate, she was hungry today. "Kits born in the spring are good luck," she added happily.
