Don't let him what? Shule desperately wanted to drag him back, but even she knew, once he'd set his mind to it, there wasn't going to be anything she could say to sway him, so she let him go, and suddenly they were left alone, the four of them. One cat she disliked, another she despised, and the last one she downright hated to her very core. Wonderful idea Sean, leave the one who 'apparently' can't control their own temper with a bunch of cats who just loved to provoke. It was hard enough as it was to not go and slaughter Foxbane again, especially with the snide and unnecessary comment.
Foxbane snorted at Glowstar. "Usually others aren't as arrogant or stupid as me. Clearly, I've met someone who's surpassed me in both aspects. I just didn't think it would be so soon." She mused, glancing at Funk, clearly intending the insult, or was it a tease? It was hard to tell, for the League Nemesis. "But guess we can all scream and run together next time. Hopefully that next time won't be when she's vacationing so nearby, however."
Glowstar had been focused on Funk, but when she heard what Foxbane said it made her look up at her. Glowstar briefly nuzzled into the side of Foxbane's head, "Don't be so mean to yourself, you're not stupid. Everything you did always had strategy, you may have used it with bad intentions then, but now you can use it to help others."
It was a few harrowing moments later that Sean ran back with a mouthful of herbs in his mouth. When he placed them down though they appeared more plump, but otherwise smelled alright. Glowstar didn't take any notice since she hardly worked with any herbs.
"Strategy or not, angering a cat with that kind of strength and being arrogant enough to get within striking range is rather idiotic, I'd say." She nodded her thanks when Sean arrived, but took her time sorting through the herbs. Unlike Glowstar, she worked with them, and both wanted to check their quality, and quantity, at the very least. There was also the small matter of the fact she didn't trust any Regime cat, even Sean, as far as she could manipulate them, and so wanted to check to make sure he hadn't, for some reason, messed with the plants, or damaged them. Supposedly, it seemed he could heal, and it wouldn't be the most surprising thing, but she had a right to be skeptical.

Funk gave up and shrugged. His gaze shifted from Glowstar, to Foxstar, to the approaching figure of Sean. Man, he must have really scared him. He was almost impressed. But his head was swimming again. He wasn't getting enough oxygen, not that he realized.
Sean noticed Foxbane's suspicion, "There's extra ingredients stuffed in there, nothings physically harmful to him, which is really besides the point because you only have time to use them or not."
"What are they?" Glowstar asked.
"They're just powerful herbs that help trigger blissful and euphoric emotions. Mom would use them in varying doses for painful procedures or depression. They're safe and honestly, probably lightweight compared to whatever he takes," Sean said with a roll of his eyes.

Well, they certainly didn't look like any poison she even vaguely recognized, or any herbs that resembled poison, so she took the chance on it. "Well, I'm sure they can't make him more of an idiot, so let's go for it." She pushed the ones he could eat to his muzzle, and began preparing the rest to apply, carefully peeling away her tail from his neck, cutting away whatever auburn or white fur clung to the tom's injury so as not to disturb the clotting. Next step was to apply the cobwebs. These would be a bit easier to pull away for the poultice, at least, once she was sure it would stick, and not just get washed away by blood, anyhow.

If he had the energy for it, he would have smacked Foxbane for that last comment. Still, his annoyance showed in his tail thumping against the ground. When the herbs were pushed into his muzzle, Funk gave a look that said, "Do you really expect me to eat these with a throat injury?" For now, he chewed slowly through them.
"Help me get him back to camp Foxbane, he's still not looking well and I'm scared for him. I'm sure... Brakewings can handle it. With you there... Not letting him heal him. He has a medicine cat den okay, that's helpful so long as someone knows what they're in it," Glowstar said before grabbing gently lifting Funk up from his hind legs. She could carry Funk's entire body on her own, but given his neck injury she would much rather have Foxbane help balance him so they wouldn't disturb his wound. Still the fact that it wasn't healing on its own disturbed her.

(bump)
His whole body felt like lead, heavy in a way he could barely push himself to his feet. Funk could only help support himself slightly, though his legs shook uncontrollably.
Glowstar lied Funk down in the medicine cat den carefully, resting him inside of a nest. Withdrawing a long breath of air she looked at Brakewing's confidently, "Alright Brakewings, this is a neck wound, what do you think is the best thing we can do for him?"'
Yellowmoons spirit sat beside Brakewing's with a bored expression until she caught exactly who was lying in that nest.
"Yikes, isn't that a Primal Instinct cat?" Yellowmoon asked with a vague layer of disgust in her voice covered primarily by fascination. How many favors could she earn by saving- Mmm. By having Brakewings save the nemesis and therefore continuing the Primal Instinct legacy? "Go ahead, if you get stuck just say ommmm a lot and I'll whisper you the facts. They'll just think it's some weird medicine cat memorization technique."
The russet tabby looked at his leader and nodded seriously. He was prepared; he had all his training and more importantly, he had his mentor. It was a nasty looking wound, but this was his job, right? He straightened up and padded over to examine the wound. "I'll have to take a look first and see how much damage there is. I'll need some space," he ordered, bending down to study the gruesome wound and shifting to the side so Yellowmoon had a better view. "Hmmm, interesting, ommmmmm," he mused.
"It's a clean cut horizontal neck wound. We're going to need to use extensive herbs, chew alder bark and burdock leaves, apply it to the wound and then clean it up with your tongue as much as you can. After you're going to wind up the neck wound with as much cobwebs as you can, it's going to look ridiculous, but it's a bad injury, he needs it. Then give him some blessed thistle to eat, it'll help get his blood flowing back and that cobweb will help prevent the blood from leaving him. It's up to StarClan after that. He just needs to rest and we'll be able to tell what his situation is tomorrow," Yellowmoon instructed.
Brakewings examined the wound carefully for a few moments more, prodding it once with a paw before he straightened up. "It'll take a lot of herbs to treat this," he announced calmly, "but I can do it. We should have everything in the den, just a nice poultice and cobwebs and we'll be back in business." He hesitated, then slid closer to the leader and murmured, "I'll treat him, but are you sure we should be doing this? He's the enemy," he reminded her, she seemed to have forgotten that. He didn't understand why Yellowmoon and StarClan wanted to protect him either, but if it must be important.
The dark ginger medicine cat set about preparing his herbs. A few leaves of burdock and pieces of alder bark ground up evenly and slathered neatly across the gaping cut, crowned with cobwebs and cleaned up so it looked a little neater. The fluffy cloud around the Nemesis' neck would have made him laugh if he wasn't so focused on finding his blessed thistle and sliding it in front of the tom's muzzle. Along the way, he hummed softly to himself and made a few quiet encouraging comments about how soon this would all be over.
