Funkson didn't really know what to make of all this. Well, actually, the just over a moon old kit didn't think much of it at all. Rather, the curious, and rather annoying, eldest child of Foxbane and Funk E'tan's litter, positively rushed up the slope to Littlestar in the moments following the Ceremony. They didn't even wait more than five seconds flat after they'd been given their new name to bound forth, shouting at the absolute top of their lungs. "WHAT THE FUNK IS A JANUS!?!?"
Really, could anyone blame them? After all, at three weeks old they'd joined the Shadow Era, and really, no one expected a barely weaned kitten to understand much of anything, let alone their new den and the complexities of what Janus actually meant.

[attr="class","box2"]Littlestar grinned in amusement at the young cat's enthusiasm and confusion. She didn't really expect him to understand what being a Janus meant just yet. He was still very young, and would have plenty of time time ahead of him to learn. She tried to push the doubts in the back of her mind away, and instead just enjoy the moment. The Sun God had chosen a new Janus, this was a good thing.
She lowered her gray muzzle and pressed her nose gently against his cheek "It means that the Sun God had chosen you to follow a different path from your siblings"
Littlestar rose back up to her full height, giving the young cat a moment to process her words before continuing "You are going to become a very special cat within SunClan as you grow, for only a few cats are ever chosen to become a Janus" the Soothsayer was responsible for training and overseeing the Janus, but Littlestar was more than happy to help answer his question
"You will study with Autumngossamer and the other Janus, they will teach you what it means to be a Janus" she purred lightly, trying to soothe the young cat. She didn't understand why this cat had been chosen, but she had given up on understanding what the Sun God was thinking long ago
"You will also get to live in the Janus Camp. Think of it like a secret hide away that only Janus get to enter into"
