What had even happened? Myst strolled back into his Zoo with a frown on his face. How had his sister managed to take over the regime and drag him into this crazy arangement where he was holding positions in two groups. It was really beyond and this trip back and forth was going to wear down his paw pads. He glanced around, noticing things were in disrepair.. his assisstant hadn't worked out.. but at least someone had been feeding his pets. "Back to work." He muttered, padding towards a pile of fresh bedding to start cleaning out the cages.

Back in her day, there was only one cat who was trained in medicine, and she was always a female. Things had changed exponentially since she had left the roost the last time. When Vera proved to be boring, she had left the same way she came, untouched. That was just over a year prior, and since her return, she had learned just how much had become different. Pathologist, what even was that? The shaman shook her head; one day, there would be recompense for violating tradition. She hoped she was not around long enough to watch the Dark Forest come for these felines...
Still, she found herself padding to the... zoo, whatever that was. If there would be a tom with a somewhat similar job, it was her job to understand him, to be one step ahead of him. The older cat sighed.
"Mysterium, is it?" meowed the beauty as she moved to enter the facility. Her voice was low, the hint of danger that always radiated through it as clear as it ever was.
The chocolate Siamese turned his head when he hear his name called. "Most have just taken to calling me Myst." He mewed as he finished whatever he was doing before turning his body entirely towards the shaman. "Is there something I can help you with? Missing something in the stores or...?" He wasn't the one to come to for herbs per say but the she cat was new to this territory so maybe she had a question as where to find something less common?

"Myst, understood," she mused with a flick of her tail. Interesting, that the tom also had a shorter version of his name. Many had taken to calling her Nyira, at least in her youth they had. Now, she really hadn't interacted with anyone enough to see if they shortened her name, and those she had interacted with were rightfully intimidated by her. "Not particularly," she meowed after a beat of silence, blinking her green eyes. "I'm just curious about you, about your position." She tilted her head slightly. "Although, I do have to say things are harder to find in this damned city than they were in my Garden."
"I can show you the sky garden later if you'd like. Funk has taken over tending it but I'm sure you're more than welcome to the herbs he grows there." He mewed addressing her last statement first. "As for my position.." He chuckled, "It's pretty much whatever I make of it. Funk, much like he did for you, dropped this little project into me paws and said to figure it out." His eyes scanned the Zoo again taking stock of all that was left to do and decided that he had a few moments to chat. "I'm far less medicinal than you are, though I use some herbs here and there. I work mainly with the exotic animals here and try to see if any of them would or could be used in any form by the league."

"I'd like to think the position wasn't dropped on me," she retorted, a hint of the angry Nyira she once was flashing to the surface for the first time in a moment. She deserved the damn title that she'd trained for; it wasn't her fault that destiny decided that she was going to acquire it in a strange way. This was the way fate paid her back for the moons of toil that she had spend, the seasons of her life that she wasted away quite literally, and then the moons in which her life had been destroyed. She let out a breath. He didn't know about her history. No need to attack him now, an older, wiser part of her thought, he might turn to be a good ally. "I'd appreciate you taking me to the sky garden," she then meowed, tilting her head. It wasn't her garden, but it would make her life easier if she only had to go to the garden of Tatlia on occassion. Of course, she'd never quite give up the journeys to the old lands to sit in her garden, but the journeys were long and she was quite uncertain that Blue was competent enough to hold down the fort if she left it up to her for too long.
She then glanced at the animals. "Have you experimented on them before? I'm sure that would be quite helpful to give a herb to one of these creatures before trying it on a cat..." She let out a humorless chuckle. "Not that I particularly mind a fatality or two on my paws."
"Dropped as in you weren't given notice." He corrected, he had no doubt in her ability given the league was filled with trained medical cats after all the merging and carnage. "I've been.. busy and my trainees seem to keep disappearing so I've barely been able to keep all these guys tended, let alone run experiments." He glanced at the tanks he'd managed to capture a variety of dangerous insects in. "But those over there show the most promise. Their poisons and venom could be used by you and the punishment district if needed. Mostly I'm curious if a cat is poisoned or bit if giving them a different one could neutralize the first poison." His attention had wandered from the older she cat as he spoke through his theory and his mind wandered through the possibles.
